A friend and I have just stayed at this apartment for 4 nights. We were on a business trip and we found everything in perfect order and spotlessly clean. It had absolutely everything we might need and was conveniently located a 5 minute walk from the S-bahn with connections to the whole city. I would thorougly recommend. 05 February 2013 - 15:51:22

I want to start by singing Susanne's praises because she was a lovely "hostess". Even before arrival, she was very quick to answer all of my questions by e-mail. When I got to Berlin, she took the time to show me around the apartment and given me a run down of the neighbourhood and she just generally made me feel instantly at home. The apartment itself is beautiful - spotless, but also so comfortable. I asked Susanne if she was an interior decorator because the design and lay out are so fabulous and there is such attention to detail. Spent many mornings puttering around before heading out and after a week it had honestly started to feel like home. The neighbourhood is fantastic, with lots of great restos and shops, including a very practical grocery store at the corner, open until 11 p.m. nightly and a very reasonable sushi restaurant 30 seconds away (though honestly, there are lots of restaurants to choose from). Also, it is not in a touristy part of the Ku'damm, but very close to transportation (U and S-Bahn accessible) and a 5 minute walk to the busier shopping district. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who is visiting Berlin. It was super comfortable by myself, but you could easily fit 4 + adults and it would still be very spacious. Thank you Susanne for making my first trip to Berlin so comfortable and memorable. I will surely be back and will not hesitate to check for availabilities at your place. 18 February 2013 - 19:37:47

We have just completed our stay at this property. The apartment was nicely laid out and very clean. Even though the weather was cold during our visit, the rooms stayed evenly warm, and there was plenty of hot water & good water pressure in the showers. The beds were comfortable, and the property manager provided us with keys on lanyards (one per guest), slippers, and high-quality bedding with extra pillows. We didn't cook during our stay, but the kitchen had a good set of utensils, china/cups/silverware, and a lot of spices, coffee and tea. The living room had a nice television and plenty of couches, tables & chairs, as well as books & games. There is a grocery store, bakery, and taxi stand within one block. We found a self-service laundry three blocks away. The trains are a bit more distant, although we didn't use them. The only complaint I have is that there are a few squeaky wood planks in the floors, and every little noise echoed against the walls. Closing the bedroom doors at night helped isolate the noise. Outside of the apartment, the neighborhood & street were very peaceful in the evenings. The windows overlook a playground that's quiet after the children leave the school on the bottom floor of the building. I'd definitely recommend this property to friends or family who want to spend a short or longer stay in Berlin. 06 March 2013 - 00:57:44

We stayed here in May of 2013. Everything was perfect- We would HIGHLY recommend this apartment to everyone. It is spotlessly clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. We also loved the location- it is not near the noise and crowds of the tourist attractions, but it is extremely easy to get to them from nearby S and U Bahn stations. The neighborhood is also very nice, and the apartment is steps away from grocery stores (one is organic!), shops, and excellent restaurants. We are extremely grateful to Susanne, the owner, for providing us with such a happy vacation- she is the best! Thanks again!! :) 03 June 2013 - 20:54:20

This is one of the best apartments we have ever rented! Not only is the apartment beautiful & comfortable the extras were excellent. All the personal items that cost a fortune if you need to purchase them were available - extra toilet paper, hand soap, tea, etc. And working with Susanne was so easy. I always have a lot of questions & she was very informative & patient. Susanne also printed off some information for the weekend about the carnival, including how to get there & back - very thoughtful. We even left a book behind & she was kind enough to return it. The location is excellent - very quiet but so easy to get around. Close to a grocery store, bakery, restaurants & public transport. Plus there is a park right next door that both my kids loved. I wish we could have stayed longer but hope to be back again soon! You will not regret staying here. 12 June 2013 - 07:09:26

Spacious, comfortable, airy, well-appointed apartment in a convenient Berlin neighborhood. Listing is accurate but actual apartment is even more charming than it looks in the photos. Easy access to mass transit, grocery, restaurants, small shops. The owner is helpful and knowledgeable about Berlin and all that it offers. She even provided multiple umbrellas and "house-shoes" for all guests! An ideal spot for a small family reunion, we loved our stay in this apartment. 15 June 2013 - 15:12:25

We enjoyed our stay here in July. The neighborhood is very pleasant and has plenty of good dining options, stores, and easy access to bus and subway. Neighboring Grunewald forest was a pleasant surprise and the Charlottenburg palace is also nearby. The accomodations were excellent! Despite the hot weather, the apartment stayed very cool without air conditioning! Beds were comfortable and the whole apartment was very clean. Bunk beds and playground a plus for children! Would stay here again given the chance to visit Berlin again. 11 September 2013 - 20:28:54

A large, quiet and well comfortable apartment with good transport links (bus, U-bahn & S-bahn) to the centre of Berlin. Just off the western end of Ku'dam with good local shops, restaurants. The only slight downside for us, having been travelling for a while, was the absence of a washing machine. But we found a laundrette nearby. The owner Susanne was very friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.. 03 October 2013 - 21:03:21

Three adults enjoyed several days in the apartment in October. We loved it, heaps of room, beautifully furnished, clean, quiet, easy access to Berlin, in fact one day we walked into Berlin along Kurfurstendamm and lots of interesting shops and great restaurants nearby. Loved the welcome we received from Susanne and the helpful tips and travel guides. The photos give a true picture of the apartment- it really is a wonderful place. The only thing to make it even better would be a washing machine. I also commend Susanne for her prompt replies and information before we came. 07 November 2013 - 05:57:48

My mother, mother in law, daughter and I stayed in this beautiful apartment for one week Nov 24 - Dec 1, 2013 to attend a wedding. Having stayed in 3 other vacation rentals in Europe this past year, this apartment was the most spacious, clean and comfortable yet! The photos of the apartment are very accurate and the space is very nicely decorated. Susanne, the owner, was very helpful before and during our stay and the little extras she provides to her visitors (slippers, umbrellas, tea, coffee etc.) definitely adds to the comfort. Only 1/2 a block off of the Ku'Damm (best shopping district in Berlin) with easy access to all transportation (taxi, subway and bus), along with a Supermarket (Kaisers-open till midnight) and Apoteke (drugstore) just around the corner, this location is by far the best in the city. Thanks Susanne, we very much enjoyed our stay in your lovely apartment! 03 December 2013 - 14:07:24

I can only add my strong personal recommendation to the many others featured above. The last time I stayed in a short-break rental apartment was in Paris a couple of months ago - it turned out to be tiny, wholly lacking in character and located above a noisy bar. Susanne's is a winner on every front, in stark contrast! It is airy, full of great little touches like wi-fi and a shelf of great books about Berlin, it is warm (we were here just before Xmas and warmth is something I value highly in a home in winter!) and cosy despite the elegant high ceilings and large windows, the showers are great, the bedrooms roomy with lots of extra blankets (though we were so warm we didn't need any of these!); the windows look down over a secluded courtyard and it's really quiet (which is another thing that's really important to me!). Susanne is charming and enormously helpful - she greeted us and was full of advice and recommendations, which we really appreciated. We had our two kids with us, who are 12 and 10, and there is just so much to do in Berlin - even going down the Ku'damm on the top of a double-decker bus was such a magical experience for all of us, with all the lights and decorations sparkling everywhere! We loved having this apartment as a base to return to in the late afternoons after our sight-seeing. The public transport system is brilliant and dead easy to negotiate. Everything is on your front door here, as others have said. It was great to be able to cook simple meals like spaghetti bolognaise on the odd evening when we were all too tired to go back out for dinner! Berlin is an amazing city - so multi-layered and vibrant and interesting - we absolutely fell for it, and are planning a return trip in the summer months. We will definitely be staying here again! 18 December 2013 - 19:28:04

It's difficult to know what to add to the many positive remarks--with which I completely agree--already recorded, but here's a brief shot: My wife and I stayed here for two+ weeks over Christmas and New Year's, 2013-14. As a result, I recommend this flat without reservation as one of the best combinations of price, charm, location, services, facililties, condition, neighborhood, cleanliness, and quiet in Berlin. Placed mid-way between a U-Bahn and an S-Bahn station; 1890s masonry construction with some walls 18" thick; taxi stand 100 meters from the front door; quite near the Ku'Damm, one of the most elegant/interesting streets in the city. Generous, lovely hostess/owner [prosecco and chocolate provided for New Years]. What's not to like? Rent this place; you will love it. 10 January 2014 - 19:58:54

We were not disappointed by the glowing reviews. The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated, spotless, with very comfortable beds & linens and towels. I was most impressed by the little touches - coffee and sugar and spices in the kitchen, transit maps and city guides and personal recommendations to nearby restaurants. Susanne was easy to reach and happily answered all our questions (laundromat around the corner, local market schedule, heads up re Sunday closings). This was a great home base in a lively neigbourhood with both S-bahn and U-bahn stations nearby and made our stay in Berlin extra special. 01 April 2014 - 21:11:37

This is a great place for a family to stay while in Berlin. Only 1/2 block off the Ku'Dam with a multitude of transportation and shopping options. Apartment is very pleasant, clean and spacious and landlord, Susanne, is a pleasure to deal with. As a bonus, there's a great playground right next door that my 6 year old grandaughter visited every day! Having to pay in cash for our stay was a bit inconvenient but all the other positives outweighed this one issue for me. 29 June 2014 - 21:36:41

This is a very nice apartment. We visited Berlin with our family for 7 days (2 adults, 2 older teen-agers (18 and 16) and 2 younger girls (both 12 )). The apartment is located in a quiet street near the Ku'Dam. We found a couple of nice restaurants near the apartment (suggestions of the owner Susanne). There is a supermarket nearby and also the bus and metro are in walking distance. The apartment is big enough for 6 people with 2 nice bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We liked the big table in the kitchen for having the breakfast. Everything was very clean and organized (we even had 4 sets of keys). Susanne was always available for questions and good suggestions. A little tip; if you want to visit the dome of the Reichstag you can administrate in advance on the internet, this saves a lot of waiting time. It is a very nice attraction ! 26 September 2014 - 20:07:02

We stayed at Susanne's lovely apartment for the first two days of our week long Germany trip. The apartment is very nice. There was plenty of room for us to spread out with our two sons. The location was convenient to get to any where in Berlin, and there were a lot of restaurants and bakeries to choose from. If we visit Berlin again, we will definitely check to see if the apartment is available. 05 July 2015 - 16:53:48

This apartment was better than we expected. It was large, roomy, airy and extremely comfortable. Only 3 of us stayed in the apartment. The location was perfect for our visit to our cousins who live in Spandau and also to the center of Berlin. The neighborhood was a true Berliner neighborhood which we enjoyed away from the busyness of Mitte. We hoped on one bus and arrived down in the midst of KuDam. Susanne was charming and explained all to us. There are many pamphlets and books for one to review. 12 August 2015 - 17:18:51

Susanne's apartment is awesome! It is spacious, clean, open and airy, decorated with great, whimsical taste. It was just what we needed after long days of sightseeing in this wonderful city, from the perfectly appointed kitchen with everything you need, to comfortable bedrooms and a lovely living room. The bathrooms have great showers and even a towel warmer in one of them! Considering how close it is to the Ku'Damm, it is remarkably quiet at night. Susanne is close by and ready to answer any questions you have about the apartment or Berlin. I would highly recommend this apartment for your stay in Berlin. 17 September 2015 - 01:23:44

The apartment is HUGE. It's light-filled, immaculate, quiet and well decorated. Lovely linens on the bed, which is quite comfortable. Just a few steps from supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants. While not close to tourist attractions, it's only a few blocks to the Hanensee S-bahn station, so it was very easy to get any place in Berlin, including the train station, quite quickly. Susanne has provided everything you need for a wonderful stay--maps, guidebooks, restaurant recommendations, board games, a well stocked kitchen, even umbrellas and a shopping bag. This is a wonderful choice. 09 November 2017 - 18:04:00

During Easter holiday we stayed here to reunion of families two from Japan one from Dresden and three from London. Appartment is big enough in size and each room has big in size as well so very easy to accomodate big number of people without any stress. On top of that ceiling are hgh enough which gives us very comfortable. Very close to airpot yet also convenient to all major attractives within Berlin by bus and U-S-Barn. Around the appartment supermarket, Banks, variety of restaurnts are within walking distance. We really enjoyed to stay at. 28 April 2014 - 09:15:41
