About listing

Enjoy a vacation away from it all ! Feel renewed and reenergized by the amazing nature that surrounds you. Our house has views of the water on one side and the beauty of the mountains on the other. After a hike or a bike , enjoy a dip in the lagoon, followed by a long hot shower in our outdoor shower. Then it's time for a sunset walk at the beach before dinner. Our house has 3 bedrooms, The master bedroom has a king bed as does a smaller guest bedroom (which is just big enough for a king size bed and a dresser) and a third with a bunk bed and an extra twin bed. There is also a sleeping loft (with a full size bed) over the living room. This has magical views of the mountains and the lagoon. There is a fully equipped kitchen with two dining areas as well as an outdoor table and chairs. Our property is in the private gated community of Seadrift only 30 minutes from the golden gate bridge. Feel away from it all without being too far away. PLEASE NOTE**THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Unfortunately, this beach house is not the right choice if your group is planning a gathering beyond the stated guest limit of 8. The neighborhood of Seadrift does not appreciate large or noisy gatherings. As mentioned, this is the PERFECT place for a LOW-KEY, relaxing beach get-away.

My family of six spent a fabulous Memorial Day weekend at this lovely home. It was perfect for us! The location was great. The lagoon is pretty and quiet, and the private flat street was perfect for biking, scootering and walking the dog. Yet only a quick ride to the beach and town. The layout of the house also worked well for us. The living space is large and comfortable, the master is big, and the kids room with a bunk and twin is very nice too. All the kids loved the loft, and our oldest child opted to sleep there rather than the small guest room with the king. The house is very nicely decorated and well equipped. What I loved most about the house was the feeling that I was staying at a friend's house rather than some generic rental. The personal touches of pictures, books, etc, really makes it feel like a home. I highly recommend this home, and will definitely stay here the next time I go to Stinson. 31 May 2013 - 14:16:54

The house was as described in the AD. It was clean and well stocked with kitchen items, towels, linens and reading material. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us, we had two parents, one adult child and three teens and a little guy of ten years old. The kids played on the ping pong table ( they loved it so much, we bought one as soon as we got home) and rode bikes all over the area. We felt they were safe because of the gated community and the beach was just far enough away. The lagoon was the best part because of the ease to get in the water all the kids played safely and learned to paddle board. We spend two different days in SF exploring and we had dinner one night in Stinson beach. We would recommend renting gear from "Donny" he delivered our boards, gave us instructions and picked up the boards for us too. His shop can be found in town at the local gym. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and getting back to us about questions we had once we arrived at the property. The only suggestions I would make are; we needed more pillows (due to my Husbands back issues, we should have asked about that) we ran out of toilet paper and paper towels ( the in town market is well appointed but extremely pricey) and the Master bed was uncomfortable. The rest of the house was very comfortable and there are many areas to relax and rest. The home had internet for the teens and it was easy to connect. We highly recommend this house and we know you will have a great stay. 22 July 2013 - 18:59:26

The house was beautiful, the kitchen and grill perfect for these foodies. The ping pong gave me just about all the exercise I could stand. The kayak provided a delightful paddle in the lagoon. The full moon, sound of the ocean waves, and spring calling of the birds filled our senses with memorable sounds and images. I have never felt so relaxed, this house is simply luxurious and easy to enjoy. 25 April 2014 - 03:22:19

This is a very nice house for a stay at Stinson Beach. It is clean and well-maintained and nicely decorated. The kitchen is wonderful. We have stayed in many vacation rentals in the past and we always make a point of bringing muffin tins, bread pans, extra kitchen towels, etc, because rentals normally have minimal kitchens. This kitchen is fantastic -- best I've seen. It's a fun place to stay, as well. It sits on a lagoon (boating and swimming) and is walking distance from the seashore. There are lots of beautiful hiking trails nearby. I love that it is dog-friendly and there is a Ping-Pong table in the garage. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and relatives. The property description was accurate and the owner was very helpful in answering questions. 11 July 2014 - 01:38:21

This was an ideal rental for our family of 6 coming back to a beautiful location that includes a lagoon in front of the house for swimming and boating, a protected wildlife lagoon behind the house and a 10 minute walk to Stinson Beach. The house is beautifully appointed, comfortable and has all of the amenities you could need including a washer/dryer. The listing was described accurately, but it is good to know ahead of time that one of the bedrooms is just large enough to hold a Queen bed..could be seen as very small or as my daughter saw itas cozy. There was a rubber boat to paddle around in the lagoon but we also rented a canoe from a place that delivered it to the beach and picked it up the next day when we were leaving. We recommend that renters stop in Mill Valley at Safeway or Whole Foods to stock up as there is one store in town and the prices are high and the stock is limited. The owner was accessible by email and has left a manual providing information to help handle any situations that might arise. Our family had a wonderful time and loved the house. 27 August 2014 - 01:46:09

The second time we stayed here was as agreeable as the first. The house is maintained well and offers an unusual degree of comfort, light and spaciousness. Still great for kids! 28 August 2015 - 00:39:33

My adult family of 6 recently stayed at this lovely 'beach house'. Light and airy, with a warm and open layout - the house exudes charm! Both inside and out, the house is tastefully decorated and very well maintained. As reviewed by others this is a perfect family house with all the bells and whistles for kids. It offers numerous sleeping options. (some quite cozy) The master is large and tastefully decorated facing the lagoon. The extra 1/2 bath was an added convenience. This home's ideal location is perfect for bike riding, walking, bird watching and has reasonably close access to beach. Having stayed at Stinson numerous times there is always something magical with each visit. This stay was no exception. The owner is friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend this house you won't be disappointed! 29 October 2015 - 20:58:57

Clean, quiet, comfortable, beautiful beach house. Our family of seven adults had plenty of room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the comforts of home plus wonderful amenities including the spectacular deck overlooking the lagoon. Just a short walk from Stinson Beach. Many wonderful hiking trails are close by as well. Alison was very helpful and welcoming. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable and relaxing vacation destination. 19 November 2015 - 00:15:23

We had a wonderful time at 163 Dipsea for a long weekend. We could not have been happier with the property. It was fully equipped for cooking, family, and fun times. The location was awesome and the scenery was spectacular. I would highly recommend paddle boarding on the lagoon, biking around the Seadrift community, and dog walks on the beach. We will definitely be back soon! 18 July 2016 - 04:29:04

Lovely location, beautiful house, like a home away from home but on the water and close to the beach. 15 November 2013 - 21:24:06

The description of the house was entirely accurate. In fact, it was even nicer and bigger than it appeared to be from the photos. It was clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful and communicative and we would whole-heartedly recommend this property. Stinson Beach is a beautiful little town with a few cute restaurants and lots of outdoor activities -- boogie boarding, surfing, hiking, beach walks, etc. 09 December 2013 - 05:40:53

We loved our stay at this beautiful home on the Stinson lagoon -- the house has a great layout with lots of space, yet it feels so warm and cozy because of the furnishings and decor. It made us feel right at home! The location is great, with fantastic views on both sides and quite close to the beach access. Clearly the owners are dog lovers, and our ability to bring our dog made it so much more fun. They have a dog bed, crate, and even treats and toys for your furry friend! Hard to find a place that you would actually want to stay, that also allows dogs. Thanks you! We hope to stay again. 05 November 2016 - 03:22:00

Any chance we get, we love to head up to Stinson for a quick weekend or a longer stay... it is such a nice place to unwind, relax, and have some great family times (dogs included). Staying at Seadrift is a huge treat, the house accommodates all of us adults, kids, and dogs. There is something for everyone - ranging from activities like paddle boarding, kayaking, biking, walking on the beach to reading on the deck to cooking amazing family dinners. We can't wait to get back to Stinson!! 18 October 2016 - 01:05:00

My family has stayed in this house twice now, and it is great. The main room is open and airy and full of comfortable places to sit or lie, reading, chatting, playing games. The kitchen is well-equipped (except could use some non-stick pans...) and opens onto both dining area and living areas. Back deck and lagoon access both good, and we made good use of the kayak. The location in Sea Drift is really nice, tucked between the internal lagoon and Bolinas lagoon and an easy walk or bike ride to the beach. 18 August 2015 - 00:58:49

We spent three nights at this wonderful home in mid October and had a fantastic time. The home itself was quite spacious and well appointed with everything we needed for a nice and relaxing stay. Our kids loved sleeping in the loft above the entry way as it was there own little escape and kind of like a nightly campout. The location on the lagoon couldn't have been more beautiful and peaceful--we ended up renting paddle boards (Donny at Stinson Beach Surf & Kayak will actually deliver them and pick them up when you are done) and went up and down the lagoon with the kids. We had never paddle boarded before and it was just a blast. At the end of the day thought, our favorite part was being so close to the beach. We went on numerous walks with the kids and the dog and could have stayed at the beach forever! The owner, Allison, was easy to deal with (all via email) and we certainly plan on returning again soon. 06 November 2015 - 17:19:00

We love our trips to Stinson and the Seadrift community, especially this Dipsea Road rental! We couldn't ask for a better vacation rental for our family and our dogs. The home is great and full of all things needed for a smooth and easy vacation - fully stocked kitchen, linens, outdoor gear, and more. We absolutely love our family vacations in Stinson and will be back soon! 10 April 2017 - 21:06:00

We loved every minute of our weekend here. So much to do: paddle boarding in inlet or lagoon; walking the beach; surfing, biking, taking long walks, tennis..... We had people from ages 14 to 85 and everyone loved it. Allison was so responsive and helpful. Highly recommended. 30 October 2017 - 23:35:00

The house is a very peaceful sanctuary, nicely styled, with warm sun streaming in from the windows overlooking the water. There is a varied library for reading, and sitting on the window seat/bed in the afternoon sun, overlooking the water, is an ideal napping space. A good house for thinking, creating, relaxing, and writing. 30 November 2016 - 14:40:00
