Andreas apartment is wonderful. It added immeasurably to our trip. Airy, light-filled, beautifully furnished, full of fascinating objects and books, it was always a pleasure to come back to and difficult to leave. The kitchen is well-equipped; everything is clean and clear. You can have coffee and read on the lovely rooftop terrace. At night its so quiet youd think you were in the country. It's a great location: an easy RER trip from the airport and a block or two to the metro. The neighborhood is comfortable, lively, free of tourists, with excellent boulangerie, butcher, cheese & produce vendors just around the corner. We were met on arrival by Marie-Christine who handles the rentals for Andrea; she was super-helpful, kind and responsive when we had a problem with the Internet. Cant recommend it highly enough. We couldnt have been happier and look forward to returning. Thank you Andrea and Marie-Christine! 31 May 2016 - 19:16:00

The other reviews of the apartment were right -- it is perfectly situated and perfectly managed and perfectly delightful. It is large, light and airy. My husband and I spent two weeks there in October and would happily stay there again. The kitchen was well-appointed and big enough for the two of us to cook together and the entire apartment was very comfortable and very clean. The loft and terrace are wonderful bonus spaces and the extremely high ceilings contribute to the open feel of the apartment. Marie-Christine accommodated our early arrival and couldn't have been more charming. She recommended Musee Marmottan Monet, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire trip. (If you're a fan of Impressionism, don't miss it.) We loved the residential quality of the 14th arrondissement, with Tuesday and Friday markets a block from the apartment and the pedestrian shopping street (rue Daguerre) just a block away as well. The Denfert-Rochereau metro stop is a four-minute walk, with several metro lines to get you into the center quickly and easily, and direct access to the airport on the RER B. All in all, we couldn't have been more pleased with the apartment. 23 October 2016 - 18:49:00

I was fortunate to stay an entire month in Paris and this apartment was the perfect place. With its high ceilings and sunlit floor to ceiling windows it is gorgeous. And the rooftop terrace offers wonderful city views. It has everything you need if you wish to make a temporary home in Paris. Also, the neighborhood of Montparnasse is a wonderful Parisian neighborhood with cafes, restaurants, and shopping. This is where Hemingway, and later Sartre, Beauvoir all stayed during their Paris time. Sartre and Beauvoir are buried in the Cemetery nearby. I recommend picking up a copy of A Movable Feast at Shakespeare and Company bookstore. It's the perfect Paris and Montparnasse reading. The neighborhood is also very quick by metro or bus to the main tourist attractions in Paris. If you do decide to participate in the bike share, there is a station around the corner. In addition, Marie-Christine and Andrea are wonderful hosts. Marie-Christine is readily available for any questions you may have. I hope to come back to Paris next year and when I do, I will definitely stay here again. 28 May 2017 - 11:48:00

This is a beautiful apartment -- quiet, nicely furnished and full of light. It is quite spacious, by Paris standards, with small front and back balconies and a large terrace that opens off of the mezzanine. Ideal for a couple, there is also room for guests in the fold-out bed on the open mezzanine above the living/ dining room, but it might feel a bit cramped for a long-term stay with more than two people. Also, because of the high huge windows, the mezzanine can get rather hot and stuffy if the weather is sunny and warm, so not ideal for sleeping. The kitchen is a pretty good size and it is quite well-equipped, and there is wonderful food shopping on nearby rue Daguerre. Also there are good restaurants in the neighbourhood, and the place is very well situated in terms of public transport (metro, RER). 05 July 2012 - 15:20:59

My husband and I have stayed in this apartment 3 times this past year so that should attest to how much we like it! We like being away from the more touristy areas of Paris, but yet be in the middle of a neighborhood and Parisian street life and this apartment suits all these needs. It opens onto a lovely private courtyard where you can look out your front balcony window and see children playing soccer or on their skateboards, neighbors going out for a stroll or to the nearby rue Daguerre, just steps away, for their daily shopping. Two Monoprix supermarkets are just steps away and are open late. They have everything from eggs to fresh fruits and vegetables to wine and liquor. However, the charming rue Daguerre is truly Parisian shopping at its best! You can buy fresh cheese, fruits and veggies from the green grocer, chacuterie, a wine store, boulangerie for those fresh morning baguettes. Countless restaurants within a stone's throw, in fact, if you arrive tired and hungry, you need walk no further than your front gate, turn either left or right, and there are places to eat. The apartment itself is a pleasure, tastefully furnished with a mixture of contemporary and traditional, as well as antiques and lovely paintings by the owner which cover the walls---a visual feast! The kitchen is large and has a back door with small balcony with lovely view of the rooftops below----great to open kitchen door and French doors in the living room for nice cross breezes in warm weather! Large refrigerator and dishwasher, plenty of counter space. Bedroom is in the back, very quiet, with its own window for nice breezes. Very comfortable bed with nightlights for bedtime reading. Large screen TV in living room along with a great selection of CD's for every musical taste from Edith Piaf to Elvis!! Upstairs is another room with sofabed which could accommodate another couple or a child or two. Off this upstairs room is a real treat----a large, plant and flower-filled terrace----perfect for morning coffee or an aperatif in the evening. All in all, this place is just a little piece of Heaven! 05 January 2014 - 18:59:53

We have been coming to Paris for many many years and have rented many great apartments. This is the best apartment we have found and the one we will rent for our future trips. It is in a wonderful Parisian neighborhood, with beautiful tree lined streets with all the shops, cafes and restaurants you could want. The apartment itself is very light, airy, spacious & comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and a fabulous rooftop garden terrace, perfect for dinner with friends under the Parisian sky at night. Maris-Christine with whom we made all the arrangements for the apartment and who meet us upon arrival could not have been more charming and easy to deal with. All in all a fabulous apartment to stay in and perhaps feel a little like a true Parisian for a week or two. 29 July 2015 - 14:43:29

My husband and I spent a week in this apt and hated to leave. We immediately felt at home as the location was what we were hoping for. It is beautifully appointed and the balconies and rooftop garden with a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower are the icing on the cake. One block away is a great street market where we purchased fresh food every day as we cooked in a few times. Wonderful restaurants and cafes for people watching are a block away It is a short ride in the metro to Versailles, the Louvre and other must see's. The building is very safe and the people in the area couldn't have been nicer. If you are looking for the real Paris this is for you. We hope to go back again - for at least a month!! 03 June 2014 - 03:07:43
