This was the perfect apartment in the perfect location....so easy with three metro stops a couple of blocks away; plenty of local shops mere blocks away; a 10-min walk from Notre Dame. Just so lovely-local host was so helpful and gracious....washer/dryer were fabulous, very quiet residence, just cannot say enough ! Will definitely keep in our minds for next Paris visit ! Would highly recommend for a lovely experience. 05 December 2015 - 21:29:58

Our family of 6 adults found this apartment comfortable, beautiful and in a great location. The beautifully decorated apartment met our needs. the kitchen is small, but is well equipped with everything you would need to cook a meal. We mostly ate breakfast in, and other meals out. The Bastille tube is right around the corner. Nice grocery store within min.s. We walked to Ille. St.Louis serval evenings to catch the beautiful view of the Seine, Notre Dame and Eiffel tower . We would definitely stay here again. 09 July 2016 - 17:27:58

Stellar stay! Five stars! The apartment, with its high ceilings and gorgeous decor takes you back to a Paris of yesteryear, and yet you are in the heart of EVERYTHING. We will return and return to this rental! 02 December 2015 - 15:40:29

We just arrived back from a two week stay in this lovely apartment. We were 6 people - 4 adults, and 2 children. The apartment is perfectly located. Definitely on the east side of the Marais and not in the heart, but you are within walking distance of everything in the Marais, close to wonderful bakeries and easy grocery shopping, an easy walk to the Seine, Notre Dame, Ile St. Louis and Ile de la Cite, Shakespeare and Company, and even the Louvre. And it was chilly while we were there - you could walk further in warm months! And, you are within seconds of the Bastille metro station which is on some of the best lines for getting around Paris. The apartment is very comfortable, roomy and well appointed. We never felt on top of each other at all. The apartment has great personality and is supremely well decorated, and makes you excited to come home in the evenings or lounge late in the mornings. The appliances all work very well. It is on the second floor and is quite accessible. The leasing management was responsive and thorough in advance of our arrival, helped us with our transportation arrangements, and were punctual and thoughtful at the arrival and departure. Our only wish was that the kitchen was a bit better equipped. We are not cooks by any stretch of the imagination, but with two kids under 10 we spent most evenings cooking dinner at home after long days out and about. The knifes were dull and there weren't basic things like cutting boards or nice touches like a cocktail shaker. It was also the first VRBO of many I have stayed in that did not leave the purchases of prior guests, so there was nothing in the cupboards but sugar and tea. Most homes have the spice purchases of previous guests at least. Lastly, I do wish the dining table had 6 chairs as it rents to 6 people, but we took two metal chairs off the patio and made due! All that said, we highly recommend this beautiful and well appointed home. We had a magical trip, and know that anyone else who stays here will do the same! 06 January 2015 - 02:07:02

Near two metro stops (1block from Bastille) close to bakeries restaurants, a short walk to the Seine, a few blocks to the Bastille market. A must!! 13 January 2017 - 18:46:22

The Lesdiguieres residence could not have been more perfect. The apartment is charming -- with the decor and balcony, we felt like we were definitely a part of Paris. The location is almost more than perfect -- a few steps to the Metro, a few steps to bakeries and stores, not very many steps to Notre Dame, steps from a taxi stand and bus stops, right in the middle of things. Off we went each morning to explore, and then we could come home and collapse before hitting the evening scene. It was like home -- not being confined to a bed in one room, as in a hotel. There were four of us and we had a ton of room. We could gather for breakfast around the nice table by the window. We could gather and plan in the living room. We had our own separate quarters for sleeping. We could look out at the city from the balcony and actually watched a huge, wild parade right from that balcony. We wanted for nothing. And let me add that Christiana is positively the best person in the world to work with, always prompt and helpful, and fun and nice besides. She made me feel good about this place from the moment I booked. And Janet was pretty darn good herself. We found the Marais, where we had not stayed before, to be delightful. Loved our experience. 28 July 2016 - 22:11:56

We have rented this apartment four times and will be back. The apartment is large and comfortable and the location can't be beat. It is less than a block to Bastille and a bit further to the Marais. The bakery on Cerisae has the best croissants and one day we got a baguette that was so hot from the oven I had to wrap my coat around it just to carry it home. Bus 86 or 87, across the street, will take you to the other side of the city and the market at Bastille is a fun place to shop. 10 July 2016 - 18:49:07

Four of us visited Paris in August. One of my friends found this gem on VRBO and it couldn't have been lovelier. The apartment was roomy and beautifully decorated. It was in a great location, a street away from a active road so traffic noises were not evident. Every morning we out to get fresh fruit and croissants to bring back home, eating while looking out the terrace to watch people in the other street. It was exactly what we wanted, a relaxing, comfortable home base from which to explore Paris. We will definitely come back! 07 November 2014 - 17:49:35

Our family of 5 stayed for a week in this lovely flat and found it to be exactly as shown. It was beautiful and gave us a true Parisian experience. Leading up to the trip, Christiana was extremely helpful and although she wasn't there during our stay, made sure that the woman who helped us, Janet, had all that we needed. She was always in touch via email. The location was very convenient and we often walked or took the metro everywhere. There are endless shops, patisseries, cafes, etc. Don't miss L'Atelier du Chocolat. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are modern and clean. The washer and dryer are a big perk as they are efficient and a decent size. The kitchen had all that we needed and we hated to leave. We will definitely stay here again when we come back. 05 May 2014 - 23:55:42

This was a wonderful apartment with everything needed for our family, son and wife and 10 year old twins. The location was perfect, accessible to all transportation, and stores. The welcoming was great and we really felt a home. We would recommend it to our friends and will definitely come and stay there again during an upcoming trip to Paris. The only things missing were cleaning supplies for the kitchen and bathrooms, sponge, wipes, dishwashing soap, etc...upon our arrival. Thank you 19 July 2013 - 13:32:45

My wife and I and two teenage children spent a week in this wonderful apartment. It was our first time finding a property through the VRBO website, but any trepidation was completely unfounded. From the early and pleasant communication with Christiana to arrival and check out with Janet, it was the perfect place to spend a week in Paris. The apartment was as it appears in the photographs: clean, well-furnished, and its size was very generous for a family of four. Six would be comfortably full. The beds had nice high thread count linens and down pillows. The kitchen is fully furnished, from cookware for the gas stove to little touches like a Krups nespresso coffee machine (with china including three different sizes of espresso/coffee mugs) and wicker breadbasket. The bathrooms were very clean and updated; the l'Occitane toiletries waiting in each bathroom were a nice touch. The clothes washer and dryer were handy on the latter part of the trip to both get away with packing less and avoid having to return with suitcases full of dirty laundry at the end of the trip. Location wise, the apartment is in easy (one and two blocks) distance to two metro stations, bringing you four metro lines. We enjoyed several fantastic bakeries within a five minute walk and had spectacular meals - including very nearby at Chez Margot and Cucina Napoletana, but there were countless others we wanted to try but ran out of time. Several grocery and wine stores are nearby, all listed in a handy binder with apartment and neighborhood details. Unrelated to the apartment, walk to Isle St Louis and get ice cream from Berthillon. Check out the twice-weekly open air market on the north end of place de la Bastille. Even if you've been to the Musee d'Orsay ten times, go again. The space, light and art are unparalleled. Get a bottle of wine and drink it down by the water on the tip of Isle St Louis or Isle de la Cite while the sun sets. If you're going to several museums, consider a Paris Museum Pass, which allows you unlimited access to most of the major museums and sites - it will likely end up being cheaper, and saves time waiting in line for tickets. Note under 18 are free for almost all museums. Finally, Christiana recommended Laurent Baudry for taxi transport to and from CDG - he was waiting when we arrived and departed, was efficient, polite, and his prices were reasonable. I would use him again. All in all, highly recommended. Thank you Christiana and Janet. 14 July 2013 - 21:22:41

We celebrated the holidays at this beautiful home and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is perfect with a "one-minute commute" to the metro. The neighborhood is very sweet and just steps away from the Bastille market; interesting shops and amazing falafel in the Marais; as well as art galleries near the Place des Vosges and in the Village of St. Paul. With the metro so close by, we easily mastered getting around the city and enjoyed walking over to the 5th and 6th. We truly felt like Parisians living in our own little neighborhood and not tourists caught in the hustle and bustle of the city. There were five people in our party and the apartment accommodated us perfectly. We enjoyed buying fresh meats, produce and flowers at the Bastille market and cooking in. The dining table officially seats four, but can handle a fifth. More than that would have to spill over to the small bistro table on the balcony. The beds were very comfortable and the master bedroom has a wall of closets for storage, which was a good thing. The bathrooms are updated and laid out such that three people (women) can get dressed at the same time. Another very good thing. :) Lastly, everyone we met was so welcoming and helpful. The Parisians have a real gentle way of living and I hope to learn from them...with lots of practice. Thank you Christiana and Janet for your excellent service before, during and after our stay! Till next time! -Ellen 13 March 2013 - 18:23:17

We loved our stay in this beautiful apartment so very close to the metro station of the Bastille. Within walking distance you are in centre of the Marais. We stayed here with 7 women for 10 days and the bed-,living, bathrooms were perfect. The kitchen was ok, but not big enough to make dinner for so many, space wise. Christiana and her collegue were very very helpful with any questions we had and information to give re. places to visit. I highly recommend this beautiful apartment. 02 February 2013 - 18:54:30

Wonderful welcome service. Beautiful property. A little more worn than in the photos but that was part of the apartment's charm. We loved the location in the 3rd arrondissement. I would recommend this place to any one of my friends. 30 January 2013 - 19:18:14

Our family of 5 (three teenaged girls) had a wonderful stay in this apartment last summer. I had never rented an apt online before and I consider myself to be fairly picky, so I was extremely nervous beforehand, but everything worked out perfectly. The apartment is just as attractive, spacious and well-kept as it appears in the photos. It truly felt like home. The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable, modern and clean. The location is excellent - close enough to everything yet in a slightly quieter, more residential, less touristy area. We enjoyed buying croissants at the local boulangeries and eating them on our terrace, then walking or heading just a couple of blocks over to the the Bastille metro stop to go anywhere in or around Paris. At night there were so many restaurants within walking distance to choose from. In the neighborhood we especially enjoyed the peaceful Place des Vosges park and the farmers market near the Bastille. Christiana and Janet were pleasant, communicative and flexible, and helped us with our travel arrangements. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris! 14 January 2013 - 14:47:00

Extremely comfortable, well-appointed, well located accomodations. I would highly recommend it. We were a multigenerational group -- two 10 year olds, two 50 year olds, and two seniors -- and had plenty of space. And, everything is so close -- the Metro, bakeries, markets, groceries. It felt like home, only better. 05 September 2012 - 17:11:37

What a beautiful apartment-just as well appointed as it appeared on the website. Would recommend to friends and family. Location was perfect-right in the center of the city. So glad we didn't go to a hotel-the spacious apartment allowed us (5) to gather and plan our days and nights. I was concerned because there weren't any reviews, so that is why I am writing this. It was really a beautiful Parisian apartment! The owner's agent was great, too. 05 April 2011 - 13:46:35
