This property was adorable, clean, very well stocked and close to Magazine Street which is full of fun restaurants and shops. We easily used public transportation to get around. Laura was very prompt and helpful with all of our needs. The beds are very cozy and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed a few pleasant evenings outside on the patio grilling out. For a family of five we had plenty of room to spread out comfortably. 16 July 2015 - 01:31:28

We booked this apartment for a stay over Mardi Gras 2016 along with a second house for a large family get together. The apartment was perfect for a true New Orleans experience. We were within walking distance of parades, restaurants and shops along Magazine St. and within a short drive of everything else we needed for a long weekend of festivities. The weather was wonderful and we were able to enjoy the back patio quite a bit but, as expected, most of our time was spent walking and watching parades and people. The apartment was cozy and furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and had no issues at all. We were fully satisfied with our stay here and we look forward to booking again in the future. 22 February 2016 - 18:48:00

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Laura's! Even before we arrived, she helped us by sharing a wealth of information to assist us in preparing for our time in New Orleans. That sense of consideration was felt throughout our stay with all the details carefully considered & provided for - like umbrellas which we needed during a downpour Sunday morning as we headed out to celebrate the resurrection. Being in her New Orleans neighborhood added to our experience and being a block from Magazine Street gave us easy walking distance access to fun exploring. We're grateful to Laura & her folks who welcomed us and extended warmth whenever we saw them. Definitely recommend a stay at Laura's! Some of the places we recommend: Loretta's Pralines - pecan filled beignets! - in the French Market and the Gumbo Shop - chicken andoullie - Wakin' Bakin' (Banks Street) 30 March 2016 - 16:19:00

We arrived to a clean and adorable 2 BR with many special touches (such as fresh fruit, wine, bottled water, a variety of local brewery brews to try and even small personal hygiene incidentals that we may have forgotten to bring along ) that immediately gave us a feeling of 'HOME". There were plenty of amenities that we didn't expect with this experience. We were greeted by the owner in passing with smiles, welcome wishes and over-the-top southern hospitality. Laura was extremely attentive to any and all possible need that we may have had. Thank you for such a great experience. We will be back!!! 03 June 2016 - 14:15:00

Having been a fairly regular visitor to the New Orleans area over the last 22 years, me and my family were very impressed not only with this lovely and very clean two bedroom apartment but also with Ms Laura who was a gracious host full of southern charm. The location was also perfect being just one block from Magazine St as well as a short drive (or Uber) ride to the French Quarter. This will definitely be our first choice if available on our next trip to New Orleans ! 01 July 2016 - 14:52:00

The house is a two floor house with a bedroom, bathroom and a seating area with tv in the second floor. A bedroom with tv and bathroom in the frist floor. Everything you need is at the house. 1 block away from Magazine Street and 5 blocks from St. Charles Ave. Ms Gordon was not in town, but she was always making sure that we had everything we need and always available to answer questions and give advice of places and activities to do. Ill definetly try to come back 31 July 2016 - 13:09:00

Fabulous location in the heart of uptown and everything magazine street has to offer. The owner Laura was above and beyond accommodating to us before we arrived, and even after we left(we forgot our laundry, lol.) We had everything we needed and even some nice welcoming drinks in the fridge. The apartment was great, especially when traveling with multiple people. The two living areas on both floors let's everyone have their own space and a bonus two bathrooms. We truly enjoyed our mini vacation and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend to others. Thank you Laura, we truly enjoyed your place! 29 September 2016 - 16:32:00

We were in town for a family wedding, and this apartment couldn't have been better. The neighborhood is quiet and within easy walking distance from shops, restaurants and the St Charles streetcar. The back patio was a relaxing place to hang out with morning coffee or after a busy day. The two floors, each with it's own bathroom and sitting area gave our family space and privacy within the apartment. Prior to our visit Laura emailed many suggestions of things to do and see. While we were there she was always just a text away for any questions. Great place to stay! 22 October 2016 - 12:52:50

Laura Gordon was an excellent person to rent from. She was so helpful! I received a nice welcoming email a couple of days prior to our arrival. She suggested some nice touristy things to do and gave us additional information about stores etc. It was a very nice touch to leave us a bottle of wine as we were celebrating my daughter's graduation from Tulane. She was responsive and helpful. She was available when I had a question. Thank you Laura for providing a clean, nice place to stay for the 5 nights that we were in New Orleans. It was convenient and the garden area was surrounded by flowers and trees. Beth 04 June 2017 - 01:47:00

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment (6 of us). We parked our cars when we arrived and did not start them again to we left. The bus line was just a few blocks away and the walk was picturesque. Laura was great from the initial contact until we said goodbye . She was prompt to reply to emails and gave us great suggestions for places to visit and restaurants. I would highly recommend this property! 30 May 2015 - 22:02:09

We are a family of 5 and stayed for 6 nights. There was plenty of room for us to spread out! We cooked breakfast and dinner on some days as well as going out to eat at restaurants close by on Magazine Street and in the French Quarter. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and we even grilled fish in the backyard. Two bathrooms and a washer and dryer was a huge plus for our family. Parking was not a problem and there was always a spot open near the house. Very clean and everything we needed to enjoy our week. 15 August 2015 - 18:13:16

We were 2 couples for 4 nights enjoying New Orleans. Being able to stay in the Garden District was wonderful. Nice walks to wonderful restaurants and scenery then just a quick bus/trolley or taxi/uber ride into the French Quarter really was ideal! Laura was very easy going and helpful with local restaurants and coffee shops. There was everything one could use and need and a very clean home! We truly had a great time and made lots of memories! I recommend this location. 27 August 2015 - 20:45:35

Another couple joined my wife and I for a few nights in New Orleans. The house was fine with everything we needed although we were out and about most of the time. The beds were com portable and quiet. Finding close parking could be a challenge but the stay was all we needed. 07 October 2015 - 14:06:46

We had a lovely few days at Laura's home. It was our first visit to New Orleans so didn't quite know what to expect. The location was good, considering we chose not to have a car. Just a short walk from Magazine Street, and with the street car running frequently just another block or two over. It was nice and near bus stop 11 for the City Sightseeing bus too! (Which I can also recommend) Would recommend this to anyone. Thanks again Laura. 27 October 2015 - 18:45:02

I stayed here over Christmas with my son and daughter-in-law, and we all agreed that we would be willing to stay here again. The unit has a bedroom, bathroom, sitting room, kitchen and laundry area downstairs and a bedroom, bathroom and sitting room upstairs. The kitchen is very small but adequate and the fridge was stocked with lots of supplies, including coffee, beer, eggs, cheese, bacon, fresh fruit, and butter. The unit is part of an old house, so it's a bit creaky, there's a big step up into the house and also at the start of the steep stairs, so not ideal for someone with mobility issues. Old houses in New Orleans don't have insulation, so when the weather turned cold, the heat was effective upstairs but not so much downstairs. Both beds were very comfy. I enjoyed the claw foot bathtub. Everything was clean and in working order. The unit is 1 block from Magazine Street with its shops and restaurants. District Donuts and a deli are 1 1/2 blocks away, there's also a great crepes and coffee place a block farther on. I had a little too much fun in the shops! Jackson Ave. is also 1 block away; we had tasty sandwiches and beer at Turkey and the Wolf. We used Lyft to get to the French Quarter and WWII Museum. The rides were inexpensive and always showed up within just a few minutes. Checking in was super easy and the owner contacted me several times before and during the visit to make sure we had all the info and things we needed. 01 January 2018 - 15:17:00

Beautiful accommodations and backyard. We had a crawfish boil that would rival any restaurant. Laura was a wonderful host. 13 March 2017 - 15:15:00

Laura was a an excellent host, she had great suggestions for things to do, places to dine. The apartment was clean with very comfortable beds, fridge was stocked with cold beer and a bottle of wine upon arrival. The local neighborhood was fun and had some great choices for drinking and dining within walking distance. Breakfast at District (divine bruleed cinnamon rolls) was just a block away. It was an inexpensive uber/lyft ride to the French Quarter or even better out to Treo and Tana in mid city for hand crafted cocktails and out of this world small plate dining. The street car is an easy walk from the apartment. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay there again. 15 April 2017 - 00:06:00
