About listing

Located in the popular, historical Marigny Triangle district, charming “Burgundy Cottage” is the guest quarters behind our home with a private entrance through the central courtyard. Built in 1830, it is comfortably furnished and can sleep six. The bedroom has a queen size bed, the loft (reachable by wrought iron spiral staircase) has 2 twin beds, and the high vaulted ceiling living area has a day bed with a pull-out trundle. There are two full baths, a washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, TV with roku and high speed Internet access. We also have adjustable central heat and air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep you comfortable. Enjoy a cocktail in the courtyard or on your own back porch. The hustle and bustle of the French Quarter and its attractions are just blocks away to the left. To the right, enjoy nightlife on trendy Frenchman Street with its jazz clubs, bars and restaurants, a popular destination for locals on Mardi Gras. There is plenty of street parking, but all main attractions are within walking distance. For the first time visitor to NOLA, you can’t pick two more accommodating hosts than the Sinclairs. We’ll give you the inside information on the best places to eat, drink, watch parades and enjoy the festivities. It’s not all Bourbon Street by a long shot. New Orleans is much more than one neighborhood or one street. That’s why we love it here! Come spend your time in New Orleans with us, in the middle of it all. Please note: We have 2 large friendly dogs. We are licensed by the City of New Orleans. NO UNAUTHORIZED GUESTS LATE NIGHT OR OVERNIGHT.

Owners were very nice and helpful. House was well kept and had all the essentials. Lots of space and plenty of beds. Walking distance to the Quarter. I will definitely rent here again. 17 November 2016 - 12:54:00

The location and price were great...we loved the rental, and really enjoyed visiting with the owners in the courtyard. Carolyn even parallel-parked for me! The house is full of quirky art and was super clean. It was only a short walk to Frenchmen and the French Quarter. We would definitely stay there again! 14 November 2016 - 19:41:00

Close to the action but far enough to enjoy quiet. Just a few blocks from Burban Street you can walk or attempt to drive. The cottage itself is tucked back behind the owners home, very cute and cozy. The loft is nice, but the stairway could be an issue for some. The owners were exceptionally nice and approachable. The cottage was clean and fully stocked with everything you could need. Would definatly stay again. 08 October 2016 - 13:34:00

This cottage was great. Cheaper than paying for a hotel and more space. Also no extra charge for parking. Street parking is available near the cottage. We did a lot of walking. Everything we wanted to see was close enough to walk (or take the public transit streetcars) so you never have to drive. The cottage was nice and quiet. Din and Carolyn are very nice and helpful with recommendations and directions. They are quick to respond with any questions you have before you arrive. I prefer Frenchmen Street. It's not as loud and crazy as Bourbon St. Frenchmen St. has many bars with great live music. We heard a great band at Bamboula's. There is a cool open air art market all lit up at night near Frenchmen St. We took a cemetery tour - a good way to learn about the history of New Orleans. Felix's was my favorite restaurant but everywhere we ate was good. 20 July 2016 - 02:29:16

The location of this place was amazing. We could walk to and around the French quarter while also being able to walk to the Jazz clubs on Frenchman street. Din and Carolyn were so welcoming and helpful with suggestions of things to do and see there. The actual place was clean and had everything you would need while traveling. They also have the cutest dog and cat that would sometimes hang out on the back patio. I would definitely recommend staying here! 26 October 2017 - 16:19:00

This is the place to be to be away from the hustle and bustle of the , yet close enough to walk to. Adorable guest cottage in the back of the Owners' home. Cottage is equipped with everything you would need. Carolyn and Vin graciously allowed us to bring our fur babies. Planning a winter trip, hopefully back yard of cottage will be usable (hint, hint) Would love to let pups out there. Wonderful NOLA experience away from typical hotels and B&B's. 13 July 2016 - 15:14:42

What a great location; close to Frenchmen St but in a very quiet neighborhood. Nice cottage; lots of room and clean. There is a courtyard and a back porch for sitting on, however I would say it would be more comfortable if it was cleaned up. 05 November 2017 - 22:06:00
