The apartment was immaculate and well finished. I highly recommend staying here. Lots of coffee shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Crazy close to the subway and overall a very easy and accessible location. Two thumbs up! 02 October 2015 - 15:04:00

This is a good apartment for a small family or several couples. Conveniently located and comfortable. Amenities good, and easy to operate in. Metro close by, as were multiple good restaurants. Owner very attentive. Very steep stairs to access. We occasionally had cigarette smoke smell in bedroom and bathroom, I believe from downstairs occupants or those smoking in back area of apartment complex. 28 March 2016 - 14:56:00

Beautiful, super clean apartment centrally located. There is a secure garage on the corner of St Hubert and Ontario and the weekend rate was $9 per night. We basically parked the car and either walked or took short taxi rides to and from dinner. Beds were very comfortable and the apartment is exactly as shown on VRBO. Neighbors downstairs certainly like to whoop it up and spent Saturday and Sunday nights on their patio below. That being said, we slept soundly after closing the windows, putting on the A/C and turning on the fans provided in each room. Highly recommend as a great home away from home!!!!! 10 July 2016 - 23:04:00

We loved our stay at this very clean, wonderfully located apartment! There was plenty of room for our family of five - even a desk for our college student to use for studying!! We did not cook at the apartment but the kitchen was very well appointed. It also had a washer and dryer which was a nice surprise and did get some use. The stairs to the front door are steep but they are sturdy with a good hand rail. The steep front steps seem to be the norm for this hilly area. The apartment is very close to a park, grocery and numerous restaurants. We highly recommend this apartment when visiting Montreal!! 01 August 2016 - 00:09:57

We were on a whirlwind trip of Canada with a 12 year-old boy and 18 year-old girl. Logistically this can be a challenging combination, especially for longer stays. But we had no problems hereeach had their own bedroom. The biggest problem was finding a place to park the van; decoding the complicated combinations of parking signs can be a challenge for out-of-towners. But Lamberts property manager found us one that didnt require us to move the van the entire time we were there. We walked everywhere, even to old town Montreal. Even though there is only one air conditioning unit located at one end of the apartment and we were there on some relatively warm days, we didnt have any problems sleeping at nightthe A/C unit managed to cool the entire apartment, with a little help from the provided floor fans. And yes there was one night where the downstairs neighbors were a bit noisy, but only until around 11PM. 24 August 2016 - 15:48:00
  6. If you are looking to explore beautiful Montreal, this apartment is the perfect place to serve as a cozy home base. We spent the Christmas holiday here with our three boys ages 7, 9 and 11. By day, we were out and about taking the Metro all over town to visit museums, markets, and various historic sites. At night, we snuggled in and made delicious meals, played card games, and watched some Canadian hockey. We found the kitchen to be well equipped, the entire apartment was sparkling clean and having access to a full size clothes washer and dryer was very handy for our family of five. We also enjoyed the close proximity to a market right down the street. Lambert was very attentive and quick to respond to any question we had prior to and throughout our stay. Thank you, Lambert, for sharing your beautiful apartment with us! 06 January 2014 - 14:58:01

The apartment was great for a group of couples spending the weekend in Montreal. The pictures accurately reflect the space as it's well laid out and very clean and the amenities were all as described. We were able to walk pretty much anywhere we hoped to go as there were plenty of restaurants, bars and lounges nearby, and for the longer distances we took the subway or a taxi. The only reason I give this apartment a 4/5 is because of the noise on Friday night until about 4:30am. It is obvious that there are students that live in the flat below and this could be quite frustrating if you had children who were trying to sleep (it was hard enough for adults). That said, when we told Lambert about the situation, he offered to speak to the people below - by this point, however, it was the next day and the party was over. Lambert was very attentive and responded very quickly to all of my inquiries. Many thanks. 10 September 2014 - 19:24:59
  8. The apartment is fantastic! So close to the Metro station and with many shops, pubs, and diners within a 5 minute walk. I would stay here again, no question 17 November 2014 - 03:04:00

Our group of 5 had a lovely 4-day stay in the apartment mid-May. The contemporary decor is lovely and is exactly as pictured in the photos. The location is very good...within walking distance (or easy walk to public transportation) of pretty much everything that you'll want to see. We had a car and were able to find overnight free street parking within a few blocks. As commented on by another visitor, the front steps are very steep and there are at least 10 of them so keep that in mind if you are older or impaired. The beds were comfortable and there was enough lighting in general (I would have liked a little more in the bathroom). The bathroom could be better equipped...there was only one hand towel (the numerous bath towels did the job though), the sink, while lovely to look at was difficult to use since the medicine cabinet stuck out almost as far as the sink did, making face washing and tooth brushing difficult, and the bathtub/shower is a big step up with no grab bar for shorties like us. It was great having a washer/dryer in the apartment so that we could dry the bath towels since there really weren't any racks in the bathroom to do this. We also suggest a step stool in the kitchen since the cabinets are pretty high for shorter people. Lambert was very attentive in getting us some paper towels, dish towels, and dish soap when we requested it. The appliances all worked well and the living room/kitchen area provided a nice gathering area for our group. Thanks for a great stay! 17 June 2016 - 19:45:00

Six girlfriends rented this apartment in Montreal for a long weekend away. We couldn't say enough good things about the apartment; it's spacious, plenty of sleeping space, central to many attractions. It was amazing value for the 6 of us, and well worth it! The owner was also extremely helpful; we arrived around 9PM and of course couldn't figure out how to unlock the door. We called the owner's cellphone and he answered on the first try, gave instructions, and we were in in no time! Overall, we have no complaints about our rental and would 100% recommend to friends or family traveling to Montreal. 06 July 2017 - 12:59:00

My wife and I and another couple rented this apartment for 4 days during the Montreal Jazz Festival. It was perfect. Close to everything ... the festival, the Metro, an IGA supermarket, long-term parking, St. Denis .... home to dozens of pubs, restaurants. The apartment was quiet, comfortable and spacious. Nicely decorated, well appointed. All the comforts and amenities of home. Nothing was overlooked. If it's available for next years's festival, I'd rent it again. 10 July 2017 - 12:01:00

My husband and two grown children stayed at the place for 3 nights. It was very clean and well kept. Within walking distance of everything! Loved it. 23 July 2017 - 18:52:00

The property is in a great spot close to Rue St. Denis. It sleeps 4 comfortably and more if necessary. All the appliances are there. Parking can be accommodated nearby in the guarded underground lot at the Grande Biblioteque on Berri street 2 blocks away. The front steps are steep but if you are young, its no problem. A/C is supported by fans if needed in the heart of the summer and works out allright. Unlocking the tricky front door was no issue for us one we learned the simple trick. A drip style coffee maker would enhance the experience as would more washcloths. There is only one bathroom but our party of 4 had no problem with it. All in all a great value and a great central location. 27 July 2017 - 20:47:00

We stayed with 5 people and the apartment was great - enough room for all, really clean; location was perfect. Loved it! 30 July 2017 - 02:06:00
  16. We loved the apartment and its location! We walked everywhere! We hope to return the apartment next time we visit Montreal. We had to unplug the modem a number of times throughout the week to maintain wifi connection, but once we figured out the problem, it was fine. 29 August 2017 - 22:46:00

The apartment is exactly as described and pictured on this site. It is in an amazing location, with a grocery store on the corner, coffee shops a block away, nearby inexpensive parking, a brief walk to two Metro stops, and very close to two parks. We had coffee at St. Louis Square, crepes at La Bulle au Carre, and great dinners on Rue Saint-Denis -- all within walking distance! This was a terrific place to stay for all our exploring of Montreal, from Old Port to Marche Jean-Talon, and everything in between. The apartment itself was clean and beautiful and well equipped. It was terrific for our family of 4, and I could see that it could house a few more very comfortably. It was so nice to be able to eat "at home" when we wanted to, wash clothes so there wouldn't be so many when we left, and just have a nice place to relax in the afternoons. The renovations are modern but keep the authenticity of the age of the building with exposed brick and hardwoods. Lambert was perfect to work with. Being a first time VRBO user, I was a little nervous. But he was very easy to contact and was informative and helpful. He told me when he would send me information and did so exactly as planned. And the few questions I asked through email, he answered very promptly. If we come back, we would absolutely stay here again! 27 July 2014 - 12:44:42

This apartment was very nice for our stay. It is worth mentioning that there are VERY steep steps outside this apartment that you must use to get in and out. Also, the apartment is in the middle of a steep hill (which is not uncommon for Montreal) but again, worth mentioning. These were not deal breakers for us but I feel like it is worth mentioning if you have younger kids (we had to keep bringing our stroller up and down each day) or cannot do stairs well. The metro stations were nearby, not just around the corner (about 2-3 blocks) away. However, the metro is very convenient and easy to use. The apartment was very clean and had plenty of linens and towels and a full size washer and dryer, which was great. 18 August 2014 - 20:04:49

5 adults stayed in Lambert's apartment for 5 nights in July and had a great time! The apartment is quite comfortable (although you do need to leave the A/C on during the day and keep the fans running to keep the apartment cool, but if you do that, it works great!). Wonderful location! 2-3 blocks from 2 different Metro stations, one of which is a main hub so we never had to transfer trains. The stairs outside are VERY steep but fun once you get used to them. It was great to be able to have breakfast and snacks in the apartment and room to spread out and spend time together. There is a nearby grocery store inside the mall (a little odd for Americans but we quickly got used to it). Read the journal left by previous guests, there's lots of great tips about the neighborhood. We had a problem getting into the apartment because I couldn't figure out how to open the door, but when I got ahold of Lambert, he explained it! You have to hold down the push latch and pull the door toward you while turning the key to the left, then push the whole door in. I would certainly recommend it and stay again if I am ever in Montreal! 31 July 2015 - 23:52:59

Excellent location for travel in and around Montreal and in particular access to Berri UQAM metro (only a couple of minutes walk) for the F1 Grand Prix. Access to the apartment to and from the airport couldn't be easier with the bus station literally around the corner. Apartment exactly as described, clean and well appointed. Both owner and housekeeper easily contactable if needed and extremely helpful to our needs. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Montreal and at Lambert's apartment. 12 June 2014 - 20:04:56
