We spent two weeks there and enjoyed all of it. Decor is very tasteful; it is equipped with every essential convenience. The small kitchen is appropriate for light meal preparation, and the Fregate and Empire Resaurants nearby are good dinner spots. There is bus service to everywhere in Paris across the street, and the Tuileries and Lourve are very convenient. Strolling along the Seine is one of the delights. The beautiful large interior courtyard provides quiet and a feeling of security. If and when we return to Paris, this would be our top choice. 23 August 2016 - 19:20:00

My husband and I, and our 30 year old daughter, were delighted with our 10- day stay in David's apartment in early May, 2016! We really cannot say enough good things about our experience. It began with David, and his sweet 6-year-old son greeting us at the apartment and explaining the few items that were not self-evident. (The combination washer-dryer was new to us and we appreciated David's clear instructions.) We cannot say enough good things about the apartment! First, it is just as nice as the photos indicate. No photo-shopping here - the apartment is exactly as advertised. The bedroom is large with a very spacious closet, the bathroom is modern and the living room and dining table were very comfortable. Our daughter slept on the couch in the living room and remarked about how comfortable it was. The kitchen is tiny by American standards but is a wonderful study in efficiency. We enjoyed breakfasts and occasional lunches at the apartment but took advantage of the fabulous dinner options Paris has to offer. The location of the apartment is PERFECT- half way between the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame right on the Seine - it seriously does not get any better than this. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. On a previous trip we stayed in the 8th arrondiissement and now realize how important location is to enjoying this wonderful city. Also, the apartment overlooks the interior courtyard and was very quiet. (An artist was selling a painting of the entry into the courtyard which we bought and are now enjoying. It is a wonderful reminder of our fabulous vacation.!) David was a very gracious and thoughtful host. He gave us his contact information and encouraged us to contact him if we had any questions during our stay. He provided helpful recommendations about local restaurants, supermarkets, etc. We decided to extend our stay and he was very accommodating of our request. Finally, he arranged for a driver to take us to the airport on the morning of our departure which was greatly appreciated. We were sad to leave, but are looking forward to staying in this delightful apartment during our next visit! 24 September 2016 - 01:50:00

Enjoyed my stay in this apartment with a friend of mine. It was very clean, small, but efficient. David and his wife were very caring and she met us when we arrived and showed us around to make sure we knew where everything was located. I don't know that four adults could stay here comfortably as there is one small bathroom and separate toilet. Also the ceiling in the living/2nd sleeping room is low so anyone that is tall might not fit. The couch in the living room opens to a bed and is not that easy to unmake and put back into place each day, so we just left it as is and sat on it. If there were two couples staying in the apt. it would be quite awkward in the evening as there is no other place to sit. But for two people it is fine. The best part about this apt. is the location and the charming courtyard located right down stairs. 07 October 2016 - 07:11:00

Even before we arrived here we had heard from David and had received great information on the arrondissement as well as tips for touring, shopping and eating out. We felt so welcome from the start. We had 3 amazing weeks here. This apartment is in a wonderful central location. Walking distance to many attractions and close to bus and subway although we didn't use them as we walked everywhere. David's wife met us and explained how all the appliances worked. There is also a detailed written package provided. Everything is here, you just need to walk in, unpack in the lovely walk in closet and enjoy Paris. If you wish to eat in, there is a well thought out tiny kitchen. If you want to eat out, there are all kinds of restaurants in the area at every price point. The apartment is spotlessly clean and a service comes in each week to change the bed and towels and clean, which I thought was a nice touch. We two were quite comfortable. Sadly we must leave here today, but hope to be back to Paris and this apartment again in the near future. 20 October 2016 - 06:04:00

This is a fantastic location from which to explore Paris. The apartment is comfortable and clean, and the courtyard is full of old world charm. The host graciously recommended good neighborhood restaurants and volunteered to make dinner and taxi reservations. Our experience was everything we could have hoped for and more. Two thumbs up! 26 May 2015 - 10:40:37

My daughter, son and I have just come back to Vancouver, Canada after two fabulous weeks in Paris. I wanted a comfortable, safe and centrally located apartment where we could sleep well at night. I can say we found it. Super location, we walked everywhere. The apartment has all conveniences of home and is kept very clean with maid service during your stay. We used the small kitchen and enjoyed some lovely meals. Stores can be found nearby. The kids appreciated the Wi-Fi and iPhone docking station. I really enjoyed stepping into the beautiful courtyard after a long day of walking and museums. You closed the main doors and you stepped into your little oasis in the middle of Paris...a block from the Louvre! The owner, David, was extremely attentive and replied to our queries within hours. He saw us off on the early morning of our departure and booked us a taxi. I wanted the kids to breathe history and culture and live a dream. All turned out perfectly. Thank you, David. I hope we'll see you soon! 24 August 2015 - 02:25:50

We travel extensively using apartments. This was by far the best place we've stayed in any country. Location was perfect. Apartment was updated and spotless in older building with peaceful courtyard. David and his wife were friendly and helpful and we wanted for nothing. Perfect in every way. I stayed with Beth also totally agree with her comments. We loved staying you place, It was in a great location and so easy to see the places we were visiting. Our surroundings and accommodations were delightful. We appreciate the care you took to help us and make. Us feel welcome. 20 April 2016 - 15:04:00

I'll start with the best feature of this apartment: the location. It is Rive Gauche on the Seine and an easy walk to the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and to start a nice walk from Jardin Tuileries to Arc de Triomphe. The 7th Arrondissement location is very convenient for shops, galleries, and restaurants. I highly recommend it and, should I return to Paris, would probably stay here again. You won't find a better value and location for the main sites and museums in Paris. Now, it's not perfect. Main issue I would identify will be for taller people. I stand right about 6 feet tall, and could touch my head to the ceiling in the bedroom when standing on my toes. I also banged my head in the doorway once or twice. It's also pretty cozy, and I think it would be a challenge for more than two people to stay, although children might be able to sleep in living room. All that said, I think it comes with the territory, given that it is an older historic building and ceilings just were not tall back in the day. It's a very nice, private setting, that may give you a taste of what it is like to be a Parisian, who lives in the many courtyards nestled behind the doors you see along the streets. The amenities are very good. It has a usable, although very small, kitchen with oven, dishwasher, microwave, and all the basic pots and utensils you might need. There is a small refrigerator, washer dryer, and Wi-Fi. The Water gets hot quickly and it's quiet, being well back from the street. I found it way more comfortable than a hotel room, as I could lounge around early in the morning, have a lazy breakfast and tea, without having to be presentable and go to a hotel dining room. You can cook simple meals to save money on dining, too. David , the owner, was very helpful with detailed instructions on how to operate everything, suggestions for local shopping and dining, and he even offered to call us a cab for our departure. 30 April 2016 - 17:46:00

Lovely, quiet and well appointed apartment across from the Louvre. Easy access from anywhere. After you walk off the busy street, you walk into a beautiful and very quiet courtyard. You cannot hear anything. The apartment is great. Nice size common area and large bedroom with a walk in closet. Lots of room to hang and store clothes. The bathroom is good size with lots of storage. Four people used this bathroom easily. We each had a shelf to store grooming items. You don't have to bring anything. All appliances were provided. Did not get to use kitchen to cook but if you want to cook, all items are there for you to use to cook meals. (We did not cook as there were too many good local restaurants and delis with outstanding food). There are two local food stores. So many tourist sites are within walking range and close to Metro and buses. Super helpful owner of apartment. David sent info on local restaurants, bakeries, ATM's, you name it he provided the info. He arranged our taxi to airport for us. Most accommodating. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place. I hope to come back and stay a month! Thank you David for providing a wonderful addition to our Paris experience. 01 June 2016 - 00:46:00

This apartment is well equipped with everything we needed. The location is perfect, I could not have been happier. There is easy access to everything as soon as you leave the building. We had a great time! David & his wife are great & very responsive. I highly recommend this apartment. 06 July 2016 - 06:56:00

My wife and I found the perfect place to stay in Paris with this very quiet, clean, well-appointed, and centrally located apartment. Our hosts, David and Sandrine, provided a nice, cozy, and restful retreat, a perfect place to explore all that Paris has to offer. Just across the street from the Louvre, and within easy walking distance to some of the best sites that Paris has to offer, this apartment was all that was described and more. The Musee d'Orsay is a few blocks down the street one way, while the great restaurants and cafes of St. Germain are just a few blocks in either direction. We could have stayed there forever if I didn't have to go back to work! We highly recommend this place for a single or couple, though the couch can be pulled out to accommodate another individual. One of the best things about the place is that the owners made us feel welcome every step of the way. David was great about putting together a compendium of information on how to access their wifi, use the various appliances, and identify some of the best cafes in the area to eat. His wife Sandrine ensured that we knew where everything was and made some great recommendations of places to visit and eat. She even met us near the Louvre when we weren't sure where to go when we got out of the Metro. David was always available by email if I needed anything (since my phone was out, I couldn't call him). The place was very clean. They have a nice little refrigerator for keeping some things cold like wine and cheese, but most of the time, we were out and about, eating at cafes both near and far. They have all the modern conveniences, including a microwave, dishwasher, and TV (the last two we never used). Some of the nearby restaurants that we enjoyed include the oldest known cafe in Paris, Le Procope, an interesting and well-known place for steak and frites, Relais de l'Entrecte Saint-Germain, and a good place to have a nice dinner that is right across the street from Relais, Le Petite Zinc. We were able to walk to places like Le Jardin du Luxembourg and Rue Cler. We recommend getting an all-inclusive Paris Pass, Museum Pass, and Transportation Pass. Get aboard The Big Bus and tour the city on the first day, then walk around and take the metro, train, or bus to see and do as much as possible. You won't be disappointed. And this place is the perfect launching pad for doing it all. Merci David and Sandrine for providing us with a wonderful place in Paris! 22 September 2016 - 22:45:00

I wish that everyone could have the opportunity to stay in such a wonderful place in Paris at least once in their lifetime. It was magical; the quiet and beautiful Parisian courtyard inside the door; a magnificent view of the Louvre and the sounds of a busy Paris street awaited- just outside. My husband and I were truly charmed beyond words and the owner was fantastic! My only regret- I left my heart in Paris and I would like to have it back 25 September 2016 - 07:16:00

This well-appointed and well-maintained one bedroom apartment on the left bank of the Seine is an excellent value. It is clean, comfortable and quiet (on the inside courtyard of a Quai Voltaire building), conveniently located directly across from the Louvre and two blocks from the Musee D'Orsay. Although small, the kitchen area has everything you'd need to eat in, there is a comfortable couch, table and TV in the sitting room, and the bedroom is large with a very comfortable large bed that has a firm mattress. The bathroom is clean and well-appointed, though the ceilings are low so if you're tall you'll have to duck to get into the separate toilet area. The apartment has baseboard heating that kept us toasty as the November days got cooler. The apartment has several windows but no cross ventilation, so it might get very warm in the summer as it doesn't appear to be air conditioned. There is a Metro stop across the bridge at the Louvre, and the shops, restaurants and bakeries of St Germain are only a few blocks away within easy walking distance. David our host was very accommodating and answered all of our questions with many helpful suggestions. My wife and I highly recommend this apartment and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris. 12 November 2016 - 22:38:00

We (3 people) recently spent 5 nights in this charming apartment, located in a very central location - directly across the river from the Louvre, a couple of blocks from the Musee d'Orsay, near St. Germain, a few blocks from Monoprix grocery store, and has bus and RER stops nearby. The pictures accurately represent the apartment, which has many useful amenities, i.e., stove, oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, refrigerator, fan, clothes drying rack, electric towel rack, tv, free wifi). Although it is small, we were quite comfortable in it and found it to be very clean and quiet. Although it was quite warm during our visit, we opened the windows and used a rotating fan to keep both rooms cooler and we were just fine. I think other reviews have noted the low ceiling, but that is just due to the building's construction. My son, who is 5'11", did have to duck his head to be under the shower head, but it was not a big deal. David and his wife were very gracious and answered all of our questions, prior to and during our trip. They were very fast to respond to any questions we had about the apartment, during our stay. We appreciated all of their Paris recommendations and tips! We would try to stay in this apartment during future Paris visits and would not hesitate to recommend staying at this apartment to any of our friends. Thanks to David and his wife for helping to make our Paris trip so wonderful! 12 July 2017 - 00:02:00

This apartment was perfect for my daughter and myself for 5 days in Paris. Centrally located on the left bank just across from the Louvre and down the street from the Musee d'Orsay, we could easily be first in line at many of the popular attractions. The apartment is clean, efficient, and stocked with enough kitchen and bath supplies to make you feel at home and not in a hotel. David's directions and communication with us prior to our arrival was prompt and clear and he met us at the apartment at the agreed time. His tour of the apartment and advice on local shops was very helpful. The internet worked perfectly. We especially enjoyed looking out of the windows at the pleasant, quiet, courtyard. At night with the windows open it was quiet and the fans kept us cool. David has done a great job making his guests comfortable and equipped with all they need including electrical adapters and a printer. Given the location this apartment is a terrific value!! 21 July 2016 - 01:28:00

My husband and I rented this apartment from David for almost three weeks. The location is fantastic - very central, across from the Louvre and 5 minutes from the D'Orsay Musee, on the Seine, yet very safe, secure and quiet and overlooking a lovely courtyard. What I loved was that the apartment had everything we needed: separate bedroom with a huge walk-in closet, living room/kitchen, washer-drier for clothes, stove, microwave, toaster, fridge, tv, internet with free wifi, even dishwasher and TWO coffee machines (regular and Nespresso). I like not having to be forced to go out for every meal and my morning coffee, so this was ideal as lovely grocery shopping was available with several blocks. The apartment was kept very clean by the twice a week housekeeping service. a lovely bottle of wine and cookies awaited us upon arrival, where David promptly met with my husband to give him the keys and other information. David was very helpful when I left too, arranging for a taxi to the airport for me (something hotels usually do so I was a bit at a loss to do myself) and the housekeeper arrived early and helped me get my luggage to the street (I gave her a small tip as i don't think this was her responsibility but she did it gladly.) Our deposit was returned immediately upon our departure. All for half the price of a small hotel room! In summary, a great experience and I highly recommend this apartment, and hope to stay there again. 26 October 2014 - 15:13:09

David and his wife were wonderful hosts, answering all of questions/emails promptly and providing a lot of helpful information for our stay. They kept providing this service during our stay, booking a cab for our departure, recommending restaurants, etc. The rental is exactly as described but the location was even better than I thought it would be. We walked everywhere. The Louvre was the view from our courtyard door yet the courtyard was quiet for being in the centre of Paris. The sofa bed was perfectly comfortable for two very picky girls and our queen bed was a dream. David left wine and snacks for our arrival. The facilities and shower were wonderful. The walk in closet was lovely to have. Having laundry was a bonus and the wireless was better than what we have at home. This is a great rental apartment in the heart of Paris. Central to everything. The Louvre, Orsay, Notre Dame, etc. It's small but 4 of us managed very well and comfortably. There is one flight of stairs but it is small and easily managed. We felt very safe walking everywhere and in the courtyard and apartment. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you David! You made our very first VRBO experience a great one! 19 June 2015 - 21:23:02

The bedroom is larger than the front room and kitchen, and the TV is not arranged for viewing from the bed, which is large and flat and comfortable. There is a large sofa bed that we used for TV watching. Perfect, quiet location for walking to art district, museums, the Seine. Maid service is fine and helpful. There is no phone for local or emergency calls, so bring a cheap French phone from an Orange store. Overall, a top place to stay, especially if you like the food at local cafes. 11 October 2015 - 13:33:49

We were very pleased with this apartment. It is centrally located to all of the landmarks we were interested in seeing. We walked everywhere from the apartment. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, a quiet location, and very comfortable. David and his wife were very responsive to all of our needs. On our next visit to Paris, we will definitely try to rent from them again! Thank you David for providing us with a wonderful experience on our first trip to Paris. 14 June 2016 - 23:48:07
