We were 5 adults and 2 kids staying at this 3-bedroom apartment which is hard to come by in Beijing. We loved the location which was close to an underground station and in walking distance to lots of restaurants, a nice western bar and supermarket which should cater the needs of westerners. There is a large supermarket (Carrefour) 2 to 3 km east of the apartment, a large shopping mall 20 minutes walking and an excellent hotpot place 10 minutes walking. We didn't like the upkeep of the apartment. For example, the wallpaper in some rooms was peeled off, the shower head was loose in one of the bathrooms. Also the apartment was dirty upon arrival, in particular the kitchen as the counter-top was sticky, the rooms were dusty; and some of the sheets had blood stains. It seems that nobody has ever cleaned under the beds and furniture in ages even though the apartment was serviced everyday. Also, we had to remind the property manager to tell the cleaners to make the beds, and clean the rooms. However, some days the beds were not made. One last thing, there was a renters guide book in which it stated that you have to pay extra to watch TV. We don't watch TV anyway but this is a heads-up for other travelers. We were expecting an apartment in a better condition for the price we were paying. 20 June 2016 - 16:56:00
