We had a great time. The only recommendation would be a better functioning tv in the living area and warmer blankets. Due to the convenience of this property , cleanliness and kindness of the owners we would recommend this property. 01 January 2017 - 22:28:00

The apartment was great, exactly as described. Everything was clean and fresh and new! Beds were super comfy. The two bathrooms were great for seven of us getting ready every morning. Henry was super nice and accommodating. He picked us up at LaGuardia and took us on a wonderful night tour on our way to the apartment. Everything was perfect in every way. Just can't say how good it was to have a comfortable and safe place to stay. I would recommend it to anybody. My only regret is not meeting Ruth. We just didn't make a connection. We talked on the phone and she's very sweet and helpful. Our visit to New York City was everything we hoped for. Thank you both. 27 September 2016 - 21:19:00

Ruth was very nice. She helped us with all of our questions. She got us a front row parking spot in front of the apartment. The apartment had nice mattresses on all of the beds. The flat screen TV was very nice. The apartment is in a great location. The bus stop is on the corner, but we did flag a bus down right in front of apartment. Its only about a 15 min ride to downtown NY. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to visit NY. 17 April 2017 - 12:15:00

The apartment was spacious and it was a luxury to have a full kitchen and two full bathrooms. Everything we could have needed was there. Ruth was very helpful and quick to respond during the booking process as well as providing information preparing for our arrival. Henry met us for check in and helped find a parking spot right out front. We felt like we were the only ones in the building and street noise was far less than anticipated. The shuttle bus service was truly just outside the door and often arrived as we were walking out the door. The commute was quick. There was always a return bus waiting for us in the city and dropped us just a short walk from the house (we felt reasonably safe even later at night). The beds were memory foam and quite comfortable after a long day of sight seeing. This property delivered what it promised, owners are vested and are only a text/call away if needed. Would definitely stay again. 22 April 2017 - 01:59:00

"Chicken buses" run all the time and pick up just outside the apartment. Ruth was awesome and very accommodating. The apartment is spacious. It accommodated our party of 5 well. Transport from the airport was arranged by Ruth, cost $75. 17 May 2017 - 12:48:00

We had the opportunity to stay here for a long weekend to celebrate my sons and nieces 16th BDay on a trip from Canada. The apartment is exactly as advertised, and more than enough room for 5 of us with two bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything we needed was provided, and the grocery/pharmacy was a very easy walk. We also walked to a local Mexican restaurant one night - there are many casual places to eat neaby. The "chicken" bus made it very easy to get in and out of Manhattan - often the bus drivers saw us walking to the stop and would pull over and pick us up.....and often dropped us off right at our intersection at night instead of the stop. $3.25 to get into the city and felt very safe even when we travelled later at night. The only downfall was traffic - it could be a quick and easy or a longer commute into Midtown (15-40 min). The bus lets you off right near Times Square and the Subway, so very easy to get around (outside of horrific New York traffic - always leave yourself lots of time). We used Uber twice - be aware of the NJ surcharge! As well, fly in to Newark - LaGuardia was a 90 minute commute to the apartment due again to traffic/construction which is always happening. Ruth and Henry were very communicative and always available to answer a text or email, our only small issue was getting the TV to work, but we were hardly at the apartment anyway. Ruth often answered my questions within a few minutes! She also arranged for her driver Manny to pick us up at LaG, and I am so glad we took this option as drivers in NYC are very aggressive and it was more relaxing having someone else drive us after our long day of flights. Manny gave us a quick overview of the area, showed us where to catch/how to navigate the buses, and even made a little detour so we could get a few pictures with the skyline in the background. All in all, if you don't mind using the convenient busses to get into Manhattan and want to save money to enjoy all that NYC has to offer, I would recommend staying here in New Jersey. 23 May 2017 - 19:18:00

Our big family (7 persons) came to live by Ruth 5 nights. The apartment was very good quality-price ratio: big rooms, 2 bathrooms and very good piece of equipments. The Public transportatation was very easy and flexible, just jumped to Paterson, so called chicken bus. There are some big supermarkets near by where you can by all needed. We felt us comfortable and safe in New Jersey. With help of Ruth everything went without problems. She arranged also our transportation from and back to airport. There is also very fast wi-fi. Thank you! 20 June 2017 - 00:48:00

We just got back from staying 5 nights at Ruth and Henry's place and we had an excellent time. Communication with Ruth before the trip was excellent and she answered any questions I had. She also sent a packet of information on transportation and grocery shopping tips so we were comfortable upon arrival. We paid extra for transportation to and from LaGuardia and Henry was our driver both ways. He told us so much about what to expect and tips on navigating the city on the way to the unit. Knowing our kids were theater lovers and there for the first time, he even drove us through the theater district and Times Square so they were excited right from the beginning. Henry showed us around the unit and made sure we knew how to operate the TV. Ruth came by a little later to make sure all was well. The unit was perfect for our family. We gave the kids the master bedroom which had a king bed, and a single day bed, with a pull out trundle underneath. There was plenty of space to pull the trundle into the room and all three had their own bed for the duration. The master also had its own bathroom with shower stall so they were all set. The other bedroom had a queen bed and plenty of space for luggage. Henry hand made the adorable shutters to the windows which let light in yet provided privacy. In between the bedrooms was the kitchen/living space which was a great space to relax in after a long day of walking. Kitchen was stocked with an abundance of all you would need for mealtime. There was another large bathroom with spa tub and shower off the main room. All was extremely clean and comfortable. Transportation into NYC was a breeze. You take these little "chicken buses" which officially pick you up one block away, but may times we just flagged them down in front of the building. The buses cost $3/person/trip and drop you off right in Times Square by the Port Authority Terminal. They run 24 hours and come very frequently, we barely had to wait. On the return trip you get dropped off a few blocks away across the freeway but there is an overpass with sidewalks and we never felt unsafe. Once we arrived in Times Square we walked to every thing in Midtown and Central Park and easily took the subway to lower Manhattan. My family enjoyed having a place away from the busyness of the city to start the day off with breakfast around the table and then come back to at the end of a long day. We would definitely stay here again. 09 July 2017 - 01:29:00

Ruth is a great communicator she sent bus info other forms of transportation info, locations to all the amenities in the area the apartment was clean, quiet and just perfect for us her driver Manny was unbelievable he took us through the city showed us some of the landmarks on the way to the apartment explained how to use the "chicken" buses 3.00 one way through the tunnel they take you to the Port Authority which is right off Times Square so easy to use. Don't wait until rush hour to go in as you will be on the bus for an hour and a half so plan accordingly we had a great time ! Thanks Henry and Ruth !!! 17 July 2017 - 22:28:00

Ruth was extremely responsive to all of our requests and was so very helpful when we arrived as she helped us figure out parking. She took the time to help us understand how to get in and out of the city so we could make the most of our time in the city. I would definitely stay here again. Great location and price for a large family wanting to visit NYC. 14 August 2017 - 14:21:00

There is no washer or dryer thus it would have been better if the towel and sheet could be given as dry-cleaned. 17 August 2017 - 21:46:00

Before arriving, I was a bit apprehensive about where we were locating - but NOT AT ALL after our first day. We were 2 middle-age women visiting NYC in March. Ruth and her son met us and helped to locate a parking spot - as there is only street parking. (Be kind and remember to leave the parking permit when you leave.) At first we were a block away - then moved to our street when a space opened. After acclimating, we had no concerns parking farther from the apartment when we couldn't find a spot close by. Ruth then showed us our accommodations and patiently spent time showing us where and how to get the bus into Manhattan. They run every 10 minutes or so - keeping us from trying to drive in the city, park in the city, or take taxis (which worried us). We became instant "Pros" at it - it was so easy.... and economical. Then there was the apartment. Dcor was lovely. Beds were very comfortable. Large, walk-in closet. Kitchen was extra large & equipped with anything you might need. Bathroom was large and cleverly outfitted. The refrigerated was stocked with food for breakfast to get us going + other helpful items. (See before you shop.) We had no disruption/noise from the neighbors - QUIET! If I had known then what I know now.... there would have been no concerns. People often say they'd like to come back again. WE MEAN IT! After finding a lovely, spacious place to stay with such easy access to Manhattan, we look forward to the next time we find a reason to visit the "Big Apple". We'll stay in either this or one of Ruth's other properties. (She has a large house which we'd like to rent and bring our extended family.) WHAT A FIND! 13 July 2015 - 00:56:21

This apartment was a bit better than described because of the attention to details. It is in a very convenient location-easy and quick travel to NYC and other cool places. The owner provides you with very helpful tips on where to go and how to get there. The apartment itself is clean and cute. I loved that they give you a code you can remember so there is no key. The beds are comfortable too. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again! 05 December 2017 - 10:41:00
