After booking our flight tickets to New York the search for a comfortable and top located hotel could begin. But after looking on booking.com i was so dissapointed about the small size rooms and conditions they had to offer. There had to be an alternative for that, i thought.. That's where my first experience with homeaway started. When we saw the pictures and description of Peter's appartment we were blowned away. And just like some other people we had this same feeling; 'this has to be good to be true'. After sending an e-mail for further details i got a call from Peter. This felt so reliable that our decision was made. Peter was quick and responsive to all of my questions and gave me all the information that i needed to know about the property. When we arrived we were welcomed by the front desk staff. They where always friendly and informative. However, after getting into the appartment we first looked at each other and thought 'WOW'. Everything was as less as described and better then any of the pictures. We had all the comfort that we needed for having an unforgettable (10 day) stay. This is definitly one of the best locations New York has to offer with a fantastic view over Times Square with easy access to all the highlights. I often remind me of just staring true the window and being amazed about 'the city that never sleeps'. Don't hesitate as i did but just book now! I would like to thank Peter for this unforgettable experience! And we look forward to coming back to this place. 20 November 2011 - 17:04:21

WOW, This apartment is just as pictured and listed! I couldn't be more pleased. Location and amenities were unbelievable. Clean, comfortable and spacious for 4 ladies. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was so nice and hospitable. You will be missing out if you don't look into renting this apartment. In 4 years of using VRBO I have never had a better experience. Can't say enough positive things about this experience. I will definately be back! 05 December 2011 - 19:07:37

This is an excellent location, w/ a nice clean and updated one bedroom condo, with great views, and a fully furnished kitchen. the door and desk people are very helpful, even the neighbors are friendly. It is almost too good to share this info because you want to keep it for yourself. 19 December 2011 - 01:19:15

My husband and I have utilized VRBO for several years, traveling throughout the US, Canada and Europe. This was the best condo we have stayed in so far for Manhatten. Pete was very quick to respond to the process and was extremely accommodating. The apartment was immaculate and was better than the photos represented. This apartment is located in an area great for first timers to Manhatten, as you have have everything available when you walk out the front door. Restaurant Row, the Theatre district and Rockefeller Center are steps away. It's also great base for those returning to visit sights not yet seen. We took a jazz cruise the first night to set the mood for the trip. A glass of champagne while listening to a three piece jazz band and watching the sunset over the NY skyline was quite romantic. One of the great things about this condo is that the location is exciting in that you have a birds eye view of all the action going on in Times Square, with the serenity and quietness of the condo. The bed is extremely comfortable...like sleeping on a cloud with exquisite linens. The bath has a great soaking tub and a rainfall shower head. It's difficult to say what we loved best, so we'll just have to return to this apartment to figure it out! 21 April 2012 - 16:26:37

My wife and I just got back from our first trip to NYC and we are so glad that we chose this condo. If you're just visiting the city I recommend staying in Times Square because of it's central location. There's a subway stop on almost every corner allowing you to be anywhere in the city within a few minutes. And if you choose to stay in Times Square there's no better place than this! This was also our first time to use VRBO and we were hesitant, but Peter and his son made the whole process extremely easy. Peter is a great guy, he'll help you with anything you need, and he's very easy to get a hold of. He answered all of our questions, provided us with helpful numbers and recommendations on where to go. He truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The condo itself is awesome! It's immaculate, well decorated, has all the amenities you might need (iron, washer/dryer, full kitchen, storage space, wifi, etc). The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. And if you're concerned about noise from the streets below, no worries because the windows are almost sound proof. You'll hear the occasional siren from passing firetrucks/ambulances but you won't hear much street noise. The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows is great (the building also offers a rooftop observatory where you can catch a birds eye view of Times Square). Also, the doormen are really nice and helpful. They gave us several restaurant recommendations and helped us navigate the city. I can promise you that you will not be dissatisfied with this rental. Do not waste your money on a hotel when you can rent a place like this. Peter is great (even the doormen confirmed told us how great he is), he'll make your trip easy and worry free. My wife and I will be back to NYC eventually and you can bet we'll be staying right here. 09 June 2012 - 15:47:30
  6. This was our first family trip into New York. We are a family of 4 with two late teenage boys. From initial contact to final follow up Peter has been nothing buy prompt, courteous and helpful. The concierage team was also amazing and professional. The apartment was simply the perfect location and offered all the amenities of home so it was wonderful to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing or shopping. It was very close to all tour buses stops and the subways, blocks from Hell's Kitchen where they have some great restaraunts and Fifth Avenue where the shopping is simply amazing. We were concern that it would be noisy because of its location but we didn't notice any of the noise filtering up. Everything was clean and immaculate when we checked in and everything was in good working order. The only regret we had was not staying longer. We definitely would be back and we would consider this as our New York home away from home. 15 July 2012 - 19:10:58

This apartment is perfect for vacationing in New York City. Its right in Times Square! Everything you read about in Peters listing is exactly what you will find when you get there. He is very friendly and helpful in all aspects-from rental info to sending info on what to do in the city and he even calls and checks and makes sure everything is going well while you are there. And he makes it clear that he is available for any questions or problems. We had absolutely no complaints everything was even better that we hoped for. This is the perfect location for exploring New York. The subway is close and convenient. The doormen are friendly and helpful. This was a dream vacation for me and my 2 adult children one we will remember forever. I hope to stay here again and definitely recommend it to anyone considering it. 17 July 2012 - 15:05:33

I dont know where to begin. My wife and daughter and I spent 6 days in this condo and it was as comfortable as our home. The condo is meticulously described by the owners and everything stated is factual and spot-on in their descriptions. HOWEVER, when you get there and live it, there is a whole new level.. This condo is actually IN the M&M Building. As stated in other comments, the unit is soundproof. No street noise, and whats even better, no unit noise from other residents like in Hotel rooms. Heart of Times Square, everything is accessible. Fantastic restaurants - of every type - within 1 block. The list of accoutrements is amazing: [1] Granite/stainless kitchen and washer and dryer (Bosch and Subzero), [2] room darkening curtains so the light from Times Square is blocked out when its time to sleep, [3] satellite TV in the living room and the bedroom, [4] clean furniture and bed, [5] clean BEDDING, multiple sets, [6] 15 towels with 3 sizes so you dont have to do laundry every day, [6] glasses and silverware that look brand new and arent all etched up and dented, [7] a quality coffee pot with a timer to start every day properly (!), [8] a showerhead that I am buying to replace every showerhead in our 4 bathrooms at home because it was that good, [8] a gym quality workout facility with weights and dumbbells and many treadmills, ellipticals and bikes, [9] a pool table in the rec room downstairs, [10] doormen that were very helpful and friendly, [11] VERY helpful owners a comprehensive set of directions and to dos sent before the trip even began. In fact, it was so intuitive that the Owner even accounted for the fact that my wife would mess up the remote controls, and had previously provided in the directions a what to do if the TV isnt working section, [12] CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, my wife is a neat freak and she felt very comfortable. Then there are the little little things salt and pepper shakers, wine glasses, a corkscrew, sugar, a toaster you do not have to think of anything it is all there, exactly where you would expect it to be The only thing that pissed me off was that we didnt stay for 2 weeks. Next year, in this condo, for certain 03 September 2012 - 21:35:56

When I came across this place, I instantly loved it. Upon arrival- Peter's place really blew our minds away. High end appliances, beautiful decor and the views..well the views are AMAZING! We stayed for 2 nights and the housing accommodations were definitely the high light of our trip. When we return to NYC we would love to stay in this place again and would recommend it to any of our friends and family. Stephen/Peter are very easy to get in touch with and everything went smoothly, so that was an extra bonus. 05 September 2012 - 22:53:47

From the owner's helpful attitude, to its' location where you can take advantage of the action in the city, to the great staff that greet you in the building and finally, to a wonderfully equipped condo.... This place is perfect! We were there during the week leading up to and after the Thanksgiving Parade, so all of the area was teaming with folks. But, when we got back to our little 'home'... we felt we had escaped into our own respite. Subway is close by, Tkts booth a block away, and wonderful little spots to eat (away from the big guys on Broadway!). You are walking distance to everything in Mid-Town... We recommend this gem to anyone wanting to be a part of it all, as the song says! 29 November 2012 - 18:25:22

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo in the heart of NYC. The location is amazing, the condo is beautiful, and Peter & Stephen are fantastic to work with from start to finish. I can't possibly say enough great things about our stay and will without question be back for future visits. 03 April 2013 - 20:04:08

Everything was superb! Right in the heart of Time Square. Walking distance to Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park, Grand Central Station and other stops. New and high end apartment building with friendly concierge and door men. High end amenities in the apartment with a million dollar view of Time Square! I highly recommend it. 26 June 2013 - 06:26:18

First, the host. Stephen is SUPER easy to work with and made this so easy. That alone is uncommon. Second, the place. It's simply amazing. If I could live in NYC, it's a building I would consider. I found myself doing rough calculations in my head of how much I'd have to offer my host to just buy it and its contents as a package deal and wondering what connections I have for a good job in NYC to pay the mortgage. The apartment is a complete home with everything you need. It's brilliantly decorated, it's got a giant soaker tub, it's got some great views and all of the furnishings are high-quality. This is not a rental where the owner has taken their older stuff and jammed it in there. This is the kind of place you'd like to invite a girl over to whom you were trying to charm. And, it's in the price range of the nearby hotels but you get so much more here. I could write pages about the amenities and the softness of the bedding and so much more. But, you should really stop reading now and book this place before someone else snakes it from you (maybe me). (Possible) Trivia: I believe there's a low-magnitude celebrity that lives on the floor who greeted me with a warm smile as they entered their own apartment. I couldn't tell for sure if it was who I think it was and this person's fanbase is limited to a certain genre (not an A-Lister except within that genre). I had only small two problems with my stay, one which Stephen pledged to look into and one which is really my fault. (A review with all gushing and no negatives seems like a shill) The first is that the housekeeper is a little eager. Checkout was 1100 and I had pounding on my door at 1045 when I was still in the shower. 1100 means 1100. Stephen says he'll talk to her. I certainly let her know what I thought about it. The second is actually MY FAULT for not planning ahead: There's no place to store your luggage after you check out. I checked out at 1100 and my train wasn't until 2300. So, I ended up pulling a wheelie around behind me for half the day until I found a place to securely park it. That's not Stephen's fault. That's a building rule placed on the doormen. I suspect if there weren't new guests coming in that night, Stephen would have let me stash it. But, there were, and that's not anything that's his problem. But, when you check out, have a luggage plan of some sort. 17 October 2013 - 03:29:58

Just got back from our vacation last night. Everything was fantastic. My wife and I had a great vacation and the place exceeded our expectations. We did not have any issues at all. The guys at the front desk were great, and answered any questions that we had. What a wonderful condo in a great location. Thanks for allowing us to use it. We are already talking about coming back for a week next spring. 17 June 2014 - 22:27:38

Myself, my husband and my 2 adult grandchildren stayed in this beautiful apartment for 2 weeks in December. It was so comfortable and clean. We all slept very well. The location is superb. We walked to Central Park, Top of the Rock, down to the harbour to do an afternoon cruise, Grand Central Station and Bryant Park for ice skating plus just walking around was exciting. We also saw 4 Broadway shows all within walking distance. You are so close to Times Square. We took advantage of the full kitchen as there was a good supermarket only 5 minutes walk from the apartment. It was great to come back and relax after being out most of the day. Peter and Stephen were great to deal with and they gave us an early check in as our plane arrived at 6.55 a.m. That was a huge bonus. I would highly recommend this apartment. 08 January 2015 - 03:42:49

We had a great time and the location was perfect for the many attractions in the area! Peter and Stephen provided us with information on restaurants and things to do which was very helpful! We would definitely recommend this condo! This trip was a 21st Birthday celebration for our daughter and we had 4 females in this unit with plenty of room and space! 06 November 2017 - 17:45:00

From the location to the views to the floorplan and amenities, this is THE place to stay when visiting NYC. Peter is an owner who cares for his apartment and also takes excellent care of those who are lucky enough to stay there. Check in was very easy, and the owner provided tons of information on local restaurants, groceries, etc. Floor to ceiling windows in both the bedroom and living room offer an amazing view of Times Square, as does the view from the building's rooftop observatory. The apartment is larger than we expected, the open floor plan makes it feel very spacious. The full kitchen has top of the line appliances and is stocked with all dishes, cookware and glassware you could possibly need. There was plenty of seating with the sofa and two chairs and the sofa bed was very comfortable. Traveling with two teenage girls made bathroom amenities a priority and we were well pleased. Large contemporary sink but still plenty of counter space, a shower-head I'd like to have here at home and a deep soaking tub. The wifi was fast, both TVs were great, it was nice to have one in the bedroom too. The bedroom was small but plenty of room for all our things, which of course accumulated as the week went on, and plenty of closet and drawer space. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also a plus. We were somewhat concerned about potential noise but found the apartment to be very well insulated and there were black out drapes to block light when we went to bed. The lounge on the 4th floor was nice with a pool table and virtual golf but we didn't spend any time there, too much to do in the city. Peter went out of his way to make it possible for us to stay in the apartment and we are so grateful. It was everything we expected and so much more. We would definitely stay here again and hope to be able to so soon! 26 March 2016 - 21:09:59

This was our first time staying at this condo but it wont be our last. We only had to get an Uber once when visiting the Freedom Tower because everything else was only a walk away. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Stephen and Peter were great to work with and always available when I had a question. 07 December 2017 - 11:52:00

Spent 9 nights just before New Years. GREAT location and accommodations.VERY close to restaurants and theaters. We have stayed at many NYC hotels and 3 other VRBO-Homeaway places, and this beat them all. Just don't try to book when we want to return next year!! 03 January 2018 - 00:38:00
