This place is in a great location. You get the feel of what it is like to live in Paris. Every time we run into Paris residents in the states and tell them where we stayed they are impressed because it is not a normal tourist area. We found the restaurants in this area to be much more affordable than other areas of Paris. The food was exceptional but has a more family feel to it which was good again for the experience. We walked everywhere, the tower and the tourist area across the river. There is a food market that we went to about 3 or 4 blocks around the corner for cooking in the apartment. The apartment itself was great. Very secure and peaceful. You do not hear the city noise as it is in a center court yard. Controlled access from the street. Much better experience than staying in a hotel. I would stay here again. 26 January 2017 - 00:54:00

My daughter and I had a mini vacation of 2-1/2 days to Paris and the description and photos of studio were accurate. We saw all the sights, including a evening boat cruise on the Seine. We had great customer service. Very comfortable beds and very easy instructions on how everything in apt worked, which was very helpful. The manager very kindly let us leave our luggage in apt, as we weren't departing Paris until 8pm. I would definitely recommend this listing! 27 April 2017 - 14:28:00

The apartement was small, but that was not the main problem. The contact person failed to meet us at the agreed time at the apartement, and was rude when I called her. The apartement was not clean, and the refrigerator were so smelly that we could not use it even after washing it several times ourselves. The washing maschine did't work either. Since our first encounter with the contact person was not very pleseant , and we were only in Paris for a few days, we did't want to spend any more time on this, and therefore did't contact them again. On the positive side, the location was very good. We have been using HomeAway for many years, but this is the first time we were disapointed. 13 July 2015 - 17:42:07

Very satisfied with this suite. Although small, it had all of the amenities we required, except for the washing machine which broke down just before we arrived but Michelle offered to reimburse us if we needed to use the local laundromat. Strong wifi. A/C was ok but could be better. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Good communication with owner and property manager. Delicious, welcoming bottle of wine was a nice touch! We would stay here again. 21 July 2015 - 21:33:21

Very nice location. Always felt safe and a vibrant life surrounding the area even late in the evening but with the window closed you didn't have to hear anything. The unit is very small and the bed at times tight but We really enjoyed our stay. 09 September 2017 - 21:32:00

Awesome central location next to the Seine, Notre Dame, Saint Michelle, & Saint Germaine! I would easily repeat this location without any hesitation! Thanks Michelle! 24 October 2017 - 21:21:00

My niece and I ended our European vacation in Paris and stayed at Michelle's apartment in the Latin District. As far as a hostess goes, you could not ask for a kinder or more accommodating person than Michelle. She met us at the Starbucks (right around the corner) and showed us to our home for three nights. Waiting for us was a French bottle of wine, orange juice in the fridge, and fruit to snack on. She had tourist brochures and maps ready for us to browse through and left her cell and home number should we have any questions or concerns (with a woman traveling together with her teenage niece to a new country, it was nice to have a personal connection in Paris). A big plus with this listing was that Michelle had a phone line available in which we could make unlimited calls to our family and friends back in the United States for FREE. WiFi was available and the connection was speedy. (It felt so great to be "connected" to the rest of the world again!) The location of the apartment in the Latin District was outstanding. Right across the street was a bagel shop (which made my niece happy) and right around the corner was a crepe stand (which made me happy)...along with a Starbucks, pharmacy, and of course, nightlife right down the street. The accommodation itself was very neat and clean and although very small, quite functional. There was a dishwasher as well as a washing machine (brush up on your French for use with the controls! haha). The downside for me was that the bed was up a few stairs in a small loft area, but the climb was worth it because the bed was quite comfortable. There were also two narrow flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but even with our luggage and backpacks (and Michelle's help), there was no problem. The bathroom was neat and clean and spacious and Michelle even had some toiletries and necessities available for use. To sum it up, my niece and I had a great time in Paris and enjoyed our little apartment in the Latin District greatly...but most of all, we enjoyed meeting Michelle and visiting with her and appreciated all of her extra special touches to make our visit so successful. 13 July 2012 - 00:45:38

Michelle is what you would call a perfect host. A friend and I came from California and stayed at her place for five days. Michelle's hospitality began before we even arrived. She communicated back and forth with us in the weeks prior to our arrival and answered any questions we had about visiting Paris for the first time. She made sure she had our flight itineraries to ensure everything went smoothly with our travel. When we got to the apartment, Michelle was there herself to greet us and show us around the studio. Everything in the apartment is taken care of very well and looks just like the photos. Though the apartment is small, it has everything one would need to feel comfortable. The two of us never felt cramped. Michelle provided us with linens, towels, fresh fruit, juice, a bottle of wine, and even an espresso maker... (which was invaluable after late nights out and early tours in the morning). The apartment couldn't be more centrally located. A short 5-minute walk to the river Seine, we walked to all the major sights in Paris. Directly underneath the apartment is several lively cafes and the apartment is right next to the Metro station and right off Boulevard St Germain. Another 5 minutes away is a lively bar scene. On our last night, we had our favorite meal in Paris DIRECTLY under the apartment at Le Comptoir... which I highly recommend. OH. I almost forgot! Michelle provides a phone in the apartment that allows for FREE calling back and forth to the US. This was totally unexpected and a welcome surprise. SO useful. About halfway through our trip, Michelle called and checked up on us to see if there was anything else we needed from her. There wasn't. She thought of everything! 31 July 2012 - 17:46:03

Michelle was a nice hostess. She had greeted with big smile, guided well and kept ready a bottle of Wine, orange juice, water bottle, coffee, and fruits. This apartment is at the center of Latin District and a lot of tourist attractions are nearby. Even though the apartment size is small and it is very nice place to stay. 09 September 2012 - 23:12:15
  10. My husband and I were recently on our honeymoon and traveled throughout Europe for one month. Six of those days were spent in Paris in this little apartment. The apartment is quite small compared to American apartments, but the customer service, location and amenities were above and beyond any of the other apartments we stay in throughout our travels. Having free wifi, free local and international calls, a washer/dryer, k-cup coffee maker was so great! We loved that she left us a bottle of wine and it was perfect for the home cooked meal we made and dined in one night. The location of the apartment is perfect, perfect, perfect! We were so close to anything and everything we wanted to do and see. Staying here really gave us the "living like a Parisian" feel. Michelle has even taken the time to create a binder in the apartment full of local market, cafe, and restaurants suggestions with maps. Michelle was amazing and extremely quick to respond to our inquires and any questions that we had. She went so far as to call the local train company as we got an email that our train was to be under construction and she took it upon herself to call to confirm for us that all would be operating fine by the time we arrived. I just can't rave enough about the customer service that Michelle delivers, she really makes you feel welcome and comfortable to call her with any question or need (and trust me, we did). We would recommend staying at this apartment if you want good customer service, great amenities and great location. Thank you Michelle - we hope to return one day soon! 03 October 2012 - 22:44:44

Wonderful wonderful wonderful owner Michelle who graciously goes out of her way to accomodate to make sure everything is of easy access. From the very first of Michelle meeting us at the location arranged to giving us a verbal guide as to where easy access was to places till we stepped out to discover our own, to going through the apartment to enlighten us on the use of equipment, we were also greeted upon entrance to the apartment from our lovely gracious hostess a bottle of wine pastries and fruit, I only have praise and appreciation for Michelle and her apartment to forward on to anyone who reads this review,The apartment was impeccabliy clean, had every thing one required plus more, more than you would expect in a rental property, actually it was just like being in your own home Brilliant brilliant brilliant location in the heart of everything it is steps away from a metro station or bus stop that will take you anywhere you want to go,we loved the bus transport so easy to use, see more. There is not one cafe within 2 min walking distance we gave up counting them after 8, supermarket 1 block away, the wonderful patisserie that Michelle introduced me to Gerrad Mulot just around the corner a must do !! . Notre Dame, Lourve and Luxembourg Gardens all with in walking distance, plus more beautiful architectural buildings on the walk there. Would highly recommend Michelle's apartment, so much so, we will be going back Again Michelle, thank you so very very much Always Kind Regards Sue and Alan 11 January 2013 - 01:32:30

Michelle is the perfect host and we really enjoyed our stay in her studio. She was easy to work with before we got there and helped us with all our sightseeing needs. We had to call her with a question and she was so gracious and encouraged us to call again if we needed anything. The studio is in a perfect location to see Paris. The Saint Germain area is right next door as is the Latin Quarter and within walking distance of Notre Dame. Easy to get to all the other places of interest using the metro and the station is right around the corner. Lots of great restaurants and cafes close by to eat or simply grab a glass of wine and people watch. Thanks Michelle for sharing your wonderful studio with us. 29 July 2013 - 00:06:55

The location of the studio could not be better. Within walking distance of most sites, and metro is right there. It is a small, charming studio with everything you need. I stayed with my adult daughter, so there was plenty of room. Both the bed in the loft and the pull out are comfortable. Welcome package is a nice touch, as is the free international phone. Michelle was away, but her daughter met us and answered all questions. There is street noise when the windows are open. Loved hearing the evening noise--street musicians by cafes half block away. Wasn't as excited by early morning garbage trucks, etc! Just closed the windows. (We were also there mid week). 04 September 2013 - 01:23:14

This cute apartment is situated right in downtown Paris within perfect walking range of a huge variety of sights and amenities. Sure it is small, but you are in Paris! And the apartment comes with a small kitchen, sitting area, bathroom and even a laundry machine! So much better than a hotel, you feel that you are somehow, part of the community. Michelle was very accommodating with local information. 15 March 2014 - 05:07:42

My sister and I have been planning for a girl's trip with our daughters for several years. We could not have chosen a better place to stay than Michelle's apartment near Odeon. From the start of our planning, Michelle was extremely helpful and accommodating. We weren't sure if one of us would arrive a day earlier than the other and Michelle was willing to hold the apartment for an extra day while we were finalizing our plans. Michelle welcomed us to Paris and her apartment with fruit, wine and coffee. We were welcomed like guests! Her apartment is tiny, but that is expected in Paris. My husband and I visited Paris in 2010 and stayed in a very nice hotel that was tiny as well. Despite the size of the apartment, it is equipped with everything you could want during your visit. We went to the grocery store and cooked omelets one morning. We also bought a delicious quiche from Gerard Mullot and warmed it in the microwave for another delicious breakfast in Paris. What a joy to enjoy a delicious espresso each morning in our PJs! I plan to buy the same espresso machine for myself. The apartment is in the perfect location. Very walkable to Notre Dame, Cluny, Pantheon, St. Sulpice, Luxembourg Gardens. A bit further but still walkable to Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Tuileries, Bon Marche. When our feet were tired, we had very easy access to Metro, RER, and bus routes. The area around the apartment is great for wandering and looking at little shops. I was able to talk to my husband and family using the apartment phone. In addition, we were able to access email and internet with wifi in the apartment. One evening, we met Michelle near Eiffel Tower. She showed us a great location for photos and we chatted in a cafe. Michelle also gave us a recommendation for a street market near Place Monge. In the evenings, we heard the musician playing outside Le Comptoir. For one week, we felt like residents of Paris! Many thanks to Michelle for her hospitality and great apartment! If I have a chance to go back, I will be staying in the same apartment. 30 March 2014 - 18:13:10

What a great apartment! It is located in a great neighborhood, close to the metro station, amazing restaurants. Even though the apartment is very compact, it is well designed and functional. Michelle had stocked the apartment with water, coffee, a bottle of wine.. all nice touches on arrival while you try to get your bearing of the location. I will totally recommend this place. Will definitely stay here again. FYI... there is no elevator. 07 September 2014 - 17:45:47

My husband and I visited Paris and stayed in this darling apartment from March 18th through March 28th 2016. The owner Michelle made the arrangements very simple and was always very quick to answer our many questions. When we arrived in Paris, we were met by Susana (Michelle's colleague) at the apartment. Susana escorted us through the apartment and explained how everything functioned. There is also a very imformative booklet that provides instructions on how to operate everthing in the apartment, including the television, Nespresso coffee maker, washer/dryer, dishwasher and more. It also provides some wonderful recommendations on restaurants, and contact numbers for taxi service etc. The added hospitality of a lovely bottle of wine was a wonderful way to welcome us! The apartment is small, but it was perfectly suited to our needs and no smaller than many of the apartments in Paris. The bed (located in the loft above the kitchen) was very comfortable. My husband is 6'2" tall and prior to arrival, I had worried that it may be difficult for him to rest. That was not the case. We slept soundly & confortably in the loft bed. The neighborhood is quiet at night. There is a bar located a few doors down from the apartment. However, we never experienced any noise related to this bar. I can also report that as of March 28th - the bar that had been located directly below the apartment is still closed and has a "for-sale" sign on the door. There is the typical noise that is found from living in an apartment building with neighbors living close by. But this is to be expected. The location of Michelle's apartment could not be more perfect. Less than a block from the Metro, and a few short blocks to Pont Du Neuff Bridge. We found the metro system very easy to use and extremely convenient. However, we also did A LOT of walking during our visit. We wanted to soak in the city on foot as much as possible. Pre-dosing with some Aleve each day, was an enormous help as we are in our early 50's and expected to experience some aching joints! St. Germain was extraordinary and we highly recommend this apartment. It is conveniently located to many local wine bars, great restaurants, banks - ATM, velib bike stands, taxi stands and of course, the Metro. We will recommend this apartment to family and friends that are visiting Paris. Michelle and Susana are perfect hosts! Thank you very much! Marilyn & Brad 29 March 2016 - 15:33:49

The apartment is snug, but uses every inch well. Shower pressure was great after long days of walking, bed (& hide-a-bed) was comfy, and nice to have the washer available. We didn't even get to the front door before being greeted, as the cleaning person approached us outside even before we called that we had arrived. Metro station (Odeon) was less than 2 minutes, and restaurants and cafes are in every direction. Great 3 days...will remember this one for our next visit. 04 January 2018 - 04:44:00

The location was convenient, close to a metro entrance, tons of cafes, grocery store(3 stories!), 2 Starbucks right around the corner, many unique bookshops, and tons of other shops! The rental was cozy and comfortable when we came back for rests between exploring the beautiful city. My only suggestion is that the mattress and pillows are upgraded. The mattress is too firm, and there were only 3 flat pillows. For two people there should always be 4 pillows, and comfortable ones at that. Overall, my husband and I had a wonderful get away and we look forward to our next trip to visit Paris :) 10 October 2017 - 08:24:00

We are a couple in our 60s visiting Paris for the first time. Location: This apartment is the perfect location in so many ways...less than 50 metres from L'Odeon Metro station meant we were minutes to everywhere. But the location is so close to everything, we found we could walk to most of our intended destinations, which did include all the Paris "icons" such as Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Champs Elysees, Notre Dame and more. A taxi rank is also only 50 metres away and the Saint Germain market, patisserie, wine store and small supermarket were only 100 metres. The apartment is surrounded by many cafes, bars and restaurants - and from here you can also 'shop till you drop". Facilities: Michelle provides almost everything. Free telephone calls, free Internet/WiFi, television (but who watches when on holidays), washer/dryer, dishwasher, even some provisions such as toilet paper, soaps, coffee, tea and a complementary bottle of wine. The shower is wonderful. The only issues we encountered were a lack of hanging space for clothes and cupboards which were only reachable via a step ladder which is inconvenient. Other reviewers have highlighted this but you must be aware that the apartment is on the second floor and (as we are on an extended European holiday), we struggled with our luggage. Other reviewers have mentioned a noise issue from a bar downstairs - but we can report, that as of September 2015, the bar is closed and appears to have relocated further into the Latin Quarter. We slept with the window open every night and whilst there was the neighborhood noise from cafes etc, we had no issue at all. The apartment also comes with a sofa bed although we reckon that 4 people would find it a tight squeeze. The space is compact but Paris apartments are small and we spent most of our time out and about. In summary; the description of the apartment is accurate, the service provided by the owner is very good as is the email communication - we even spoke by phone beforehand which provided a good level of comfort as one is handing over the full payment prior to commencement. The price point is good value - we think Michelle could charge more after a 'refresh' of the apartment. 13 September 2015 - 15:01:50
