  1. Contemporary and fully furnished very nice apartment; we had everything we wished for our stay of 10 days; very conveniently located downtown Montreal ; will definitely recommend it to my friends . 24 March 2014 - 11:00:06

We were created by the property owners at the entrance to the building. They provided a tour of the location and showed us around the flat. Our first and lasting impression was how trendy and comfortable the flat was. The location was prime for our jaunts around the city and the amenities were excellent. We certainly felt home away from home. The owners were prompt to reply to any questions we had and even offered suggestions for things to do around the city. We look forward to a future opportunity to stay within their property again. 28 November 2013 - 15:04:37

We had a great 10 day stay in Pedro and Zulema's one bedroom modern condo in May. Pedro was very helpful answering emails and arranging the reservation, payments etc, Zulema did a great job of showing around the condo and area, and keeping in touch with us by text when we were in Montreal. The condo is comfortable and beautifully decorated, we had everything we needed to cook light meals and do laundry. There is a rooftop area with a pool, large kitchen and BBQs which has spectacular views of the Montreal skyline. The view of the skyline from the condo is pretty nice too. The condo is close to the Lachine Canal and walking distance to the Bell Centre, Shopping on St Catherines, Atwater Market and Old Montreal. But note, you will have to do a fair amount of walking, the closest Metro station is near the Bell Centre. The area is being redeveloped so there is a lot of construction, we didnt mind that as we live in an area that went through a similar process. In fact, if we had a condo in Montreal, I'd want it to be in this area and just like this one :-) 26 May 2015 - 14:32:00

I spent 5 weeks in Montreal in this absolutely perfect apartment. The apartment is fully furnished, absolutely clean, and quiet. Pedro and Zulema are two very cordial persons who are very helpful. I hope that this apartment is available again when I visit Montreal next time! 04 June 2014 - 13:06:11

I stayed at this beautiful property for almost two months. I loved everything about it. It is centrally located, you can walk everywhere, the apartment itself is a gem. It reminded me of Mary Poppins' hat. Every time i needed something it was there: an apple peeler, a teapot with tea, washing powder, soap, shampoo...the owners thought of absolutely everything including spare batteries for the remote control, for just in case. This gorgeously decorated condo also has a swimming pool on the rooftop, with brand new deck chairs, 2 BBQ's, a pooltable and lounge room, and most importantly a view. This is perhaps the best feature of all. You can admire the sunset, the sunrise, the Montreal skyline during the day and at night it all shines before you like a Christmas tree. This apartment is a blend of New York with a twist of that special fabulous Montreal new industrial chic trend. It is located on the Lachine canal where you can enjoy morning walks or rollerblade for miles on end. Conveniently located between the Old Town and Downtown you're everywhere within a 20 min walk. There is a excellent supermarket up the street, a metro and a pharmacy. The apartment itself is very quiet and you can sleep without hearing anyone walk or talk over your head or outside. I would like to thank the owners for their hospitality and a perfect stay!! I strongly recommend this apartment for long or short stays. It has every amenity: a stove, an oven, a microwave, a washer and dryer, a dish washer, air conditioning, excellent water pressure in the shower and marvelously soft towels. Thank you Perdo and Zulema, I'll be back!!! Marina 21 June 2014 - 23:19:59

The property is in what seems to be a re-emergent area of new condos. There is a lot of construction in the area, but it was not disruptive to my stay. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk to the metro, I used the bicycle service (BIXY) while in Montreal. There are several stations nearby. There is a grocery store, pharmacy, and dry cleaners nearby easily within walking distance. Old Montreal is not really that far, but you need to take a taxi, bus, or bike to get there. The property is very modern and well furnished and the owners were very friendly and helpful. When I arrived I called them and they were there within 10 minutes. They also helped me get a BIXY key, so I could use the bicycle system in Montreal. I would recommend this property and owners to anyone considering a stay in Montreal. 07 August 2015 - 12:48:19

We spent one month in this lovely condo and enjoyed every day. It is well located to walk to Atwater Market, Sainte Catherine Street, and Old Montreal, all between 2-30 minutes. It is five minutes to rue Notre Dame where we found a number of nice cafes and restaurants such as Joe Beef, La Trattoria. Fifteen minutes takes you to the subway stop. Zulema and Pedro have thought of everything needed to make this feel like home. It was sparkly. clean, nicely furnished, the kitchen is well equipped for people like us who prefer to eat at home most of the time, the bath towels were high quality, and all the cleaning supplies were ample for our long stay. The balcony provides a nice view of the city skyline, especially at night and the neighbourhood was quiet. Our hosts regularly checked to see if we needed anything and we always felt they were there to assist us if needed. They gave us ideas of where to eat locally, the nearest grocery store ( five minute walk) and the nearest gyms. Plenty of maps and local information was provided as well. They are indeed the best hosts! Highly recommended. 07 June 2016 - 13:54:00

We loved our stay at Pedro's and Zulema's Montreal apartment! As soon as we arrived, Zulema walked with us all through the neighborhood, emphasizing landmarks (so we wouldn't get lost!) and pointing out everything we needed to know in the area, including the nearby grocery. Back at the apartment, Zulema made sure we knew how to use all of the appliances and the various remote controls. Just in case, each phone is labelled with their number, and Zulema encouraged us to call with any questions or problems. (We didn't need to, but it was nice to know that they were so easy to contact.) The real surprise, though, was the well-equipped apartment. Zulema and Pedro stocked it with everything we could possibly have needed: detergents, cleaning supplies, brooms and so on. Zulema joked that we weren't going to be cleaning during our vacation, but we had everything at hand from the first moment to take care of laundry, incidental spills and so on. The kitchen was amazing: all the utensils anyone could need, at least one of every pot or pan anyone could possibly want, and enough glasses, plates, bowls and so on to serve really nice meals, including wine and drinks glasses. There is even a handy footstool -- and reusable shopping bags in the coat closet, along with umbrellas! We couldn't have been more comfortable if we'd stocked the apartment ourselves. (And I don't think we could have done half as well. ) In keeping with that warm welcome, we found coffee pods and a variety of teas in one cupboard, and it was amazing to see the spice and herb rack, which meant we didn't have to fuss about buying those incidental items to make the evening meals we loved having at "home" after a long day of seeing Montreal. (Less grocery time! More Montreal time!) We are still marvelling at the thought and care that was put into welcoming us in every way. We were incredibly comfortable, and can't wait to return! Thank you, Pedro and Zulema, for making our stay so marvelous! 11 November 2015 - 15:34:08

During our 2 week stay we enjoyed every aspect of the apartment. Well equipped, from cooking to laundry and of course sleeping and relaxing. We really did feel at home and our hosts were very kind and attentive to all of our needs. We enjoyed our walks to old Montreal, downtown Montreal, canal walks and trips to the market. Also within walking distance trips to the MBAM for exhibits and music and Jazz at the local pub and more! We will definitely return. 29 September 2015 - 13:22:55

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful little apartment for two weeks and had a wonderful time. The apartment is very well-equipped, with comfortable furniture (great bed and sofa!), high-end appliances, nice linens, and everything you need to feel at home (first time we've been able to get Netflix outside the U.S.!). We cooked many meals in between sampling the superb Montreal restaurants (try Toque for French, Cafe Ferreira for Portuguese, Maestro for seafood...) and always had everything we needed. The location was great for us: it was an easy walk to the Atwater Market, which we love for daily food to cook at home and for some nice take-out meals. You can find a lot of nice restaurants on rue Notre Dame on the way (in Little Burgundy), and there's also an SAQ by the market to supply the wine for your meals. Walking to downtown is easy: straight up r. de la Montagne and there you are! Vieux Port isn't much farther, and you can rent bikes there to ride back to the Lachine Canal, which is just a block or so away from the apartment (you can also rent bikes closer to Atwater Market). The canal is wonderful for a long bike ride; we did the 22-mile loop out to the sculpture park and back, stopping for a picnic along the water (on the south side). At 65+, we didn't find it too difficult and enjoyed the beautiful sights along the way. You can even walk up to the Plateau for meals, and over to the big park (Mont Royal), where you can climb the "mountain" for a little more exercise. Zulema, who is sweet and considerate, gave us a full tour of the neighborhood, and Pedro found parking for us (paid but reasonable). Summertime is a great time to visit this city, since there are multiple festivals (3 on our last night, and we caught a little of each!) as well as concerts, plays, and other delights. But fall is beautiful, too, when the park's trees turn beautiful shades of orange and red. If it rains, getting around is easy in the underground, and a taxi from the Vieux Port to home is only $7CD. Can you tell we loved our stay here? We highly recommend both the city and this charming little apartment; thanks, Zulema and Pedro, for a great time! 18 June 2015 - 19:43:45

We spent 5 weeks in this condo and would highly recommend to anyone. It is a pristine, modern, and centrally located. All amenities we needed. The complex is friendly and the rooftop is a huge plus. We cooked out and dined up there often. As others have mentioned, the location is ideal to everything...we walked, biked, and metro to all. No car needed. Pedro and Zulema were amazing hosts. Spent so much time with us on arrival to give us lay of the land...so we were able to settle in very quickly. We plan to return next year. 04 September 2016 - 15:15:46

We have just completed our second stay at Pedro and Zulema's condo. It was a joy returning to such a beautifully equipped, spotless, apartment, and such a pleasure to realize that we could trust that our second experience would be as nice as the first -- which it fully was! Thank you, Pedro and Zulema, for another lovely experience in Montreal! 02 October 2016 - 13:18:00

Pedro and Zulema thought of everything we needed for our stay in Montreal. Felt like a second home. Amazing location and friendly people all around. Everything within walking distance for the most part. Subway isnt far if needed. We would definitely recommend this spot to our friendly. Our second home in Eastern Canada :) Having a washer and dryer in our suite was a nice luxury. All I can say is you wont be disappointed. 04 June 2015 - 09:12:38

I wrote a review yesterday, but just got a request again. Perfect location for me, the condo was perfectly equipped. Clean and modern. So comfortable! Next time I visit Montreal, I would DEFINITELY stay here again. Pedro and Zulema and Yulima (I'm sorry if I spelled your names wrong!) were super great hosts. They checked on me to make sure I was happy. Not only did I love the condo, I feel like I made some good friends in Montreal with them. 31 October 2016 - 23:01:00

I wanted a bicycle friendly vacation, with a European flair without the long flight. In Montreal you get the French flair with the language and rich food culture with an abundance of melting pot cultures. The bike paths are not practical for riding to tourist locations. The Mount Royal Park is not bike friendly, with its abundance of stairs and lack of bicycle racks. Riding to the Royal Mountain Park is dangerous unless escorted by a bike tour guide that will guide you along the new green back alley-ways. Much of the park has stairs, the paths are made with gravel and cobble stone which is not an optimum surface for riding with the hybrid rental bike. When riding the streets be ready: Montrealers like to use their horn, which is nerve wracking for bicyclists, and know that blinking green lights allow left hand turns, as a left arrows do in the States. I love Poutine: delicious French fries served with gravy and cheese curds. I feel good about climbing all the stairs in Montreal, after eating this delicious fattening food. At the Atwater market I found many delectable treats: cervise de la terre -delicious cherry tomatoes that grow in a paper like casing, calzones, cannolis. The Atwater market is a wonderful place to shop and bring back to an eat-in condo kitchen. I find VRBO a great way to live as the locals. You can find a comfortable condo with a kitchen for less than a comparable hotel room. I like not having to remember the "Do Not Disturb" signs on days I need to sleep in. Eating-in is not only less expensive but also gives a chance for a delicious eating experience from local foods bought and prepared by you. So I recommend a Montreal vacation: stay at a Condo, rent bikes and remember to stay healthy by taking the stairs with or without a bike but definitely after a plate of poutine. All of Montreal is bilingual and easily speak both languages, a great prerequisite for a European vacation soon to come for me. 16 September 2013 - 04:36:59

Zulema and Pedro, the owners, were wonderful! Very helpful, informative, and friendly - Zulema met us at the condo to orient us even though we arrived after 12:30 am! They came and helped us get our roku hmdi stick to work in the smart flat screen tv, and purchased grilling utensils and baking sheets for us to use while there. The condo was beautiful and very comfortable! We stayed in # 312, which is not the one shown here ( they have two condos) - ours had a separate bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed. It had a leather couch in the LR, and a nice size balcony with two patio chairs and a small table. The dining area had a round glass table with 4 chairs, and the kitchen was well equipped - we fixed all of our breakfasts, and several dinners while there. The condo bldg has a very nice roof top terrace with great city views, several sitting areas, two BBQ grills, and a pool - we enjoyed taking a drink up there to enjoy sunsets over the city. The location was great - a good grocery store, pharmacy, liquor store, and small bakery just about 4 blocks away. The Lachine Canal, with walking and biking paths, was just about three blocks away. A metro station was about a 6 block walk. We did not have a car, so walked or took the metro everywhere. Old Montreal was an easy 10 - 15 minute walk. We would definitely recommend this condo! And we would definitely choose to stay there again if we return to Montreal. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was construction going on a block away that started about 7:00 am, so woke us up earlier than we would have liked - no reflection on the condo or owners at all. The condo was actually very quiet, but could not completely block the pounding sounds. 06 July 2017 - 01:02:00

This is a well equipped, well-furnished, compact apartment. The owners are extremely friendly and always ready to be helpful. The building in which the flat is situated is relatively small, quiet, always clean, well maintained and easy of access. There is a lot of building work going on in this area of Montreal at the moment, but the apartment is so well insulated for sound that one is not disturbed by the resulting heavy traffic. Shopping is easy in the surrounding area, whether for food or many other services. Connections to the city centre/downtown are fairly good, although not of the best : two bus services with stops just outside the apartment both go to the same very busy metro station, Bonaventure, but strangely there is no bus connection to the nearer metro station, Lucien L'allier, which can only be reached on foot (or, of course, taxi) - a 12-15 minute walk. Both stations, however, are on the same line and deliver you quickly to the main central areas. Altogether, we who have stayed in a large number of apartments in Montreal would highly recommend this one as among the best we have had, with the bonus of outstandingly nice owners.
