About listing

This 32m2 apartment is located in the famous golden triangle of Paris a stone throw from the Champs Elysees. it's a very chic and rare driveliterally a few steps away from "place des ternes" and its flower market. This beautifull and charming location is unique in the capital and its quiet surroundings are full of history. Artists in the 19th century were attracted by areas susch as this one and up until today, some still live there like in the old days. As a little tribute to those paintyers and sculptors, the statues exhibited in the apartment are original ! To all oceans lovers, here is a little anecdote: it is on this private drive that Commandant Cousteau (who was oscarised) used to spend all his winters, to work on his tv documentaries. The apartment was entirely refurbished and decored in april and may 2015, it is on the first floor of a charming "art deco" little building. It is luxurious and has been designed for comfort, peace and quiet relaxation after having walked through the streets of our capital. You will find a 1.60m large bed, large comfortables leather armchairs. The shower and the TV set are disproportionate. The WIFI is free, as well the access to english channels. There is also an automatic air conditionning. The kitchen is modern and full equiped (dis washer, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, micro wave...). the apartment is full of light (in the kitchen and in the bathroom) and a very large window opens into the cobble stone paved drive. You will find a bus line and a metropolitan station left outside, the drive and the Champs Elysees are 4 minutes walk away. The station " Etoile" leads to the major Paris touristic areas.

Just got back from a week in this apartment and I'm happy to say that among other things, the air conditioning worked very well even though the temperatures outside were rising into the 90's (this cannot be said of some of the other places in other cities that we have rented). Loic's apartment is a true studio (one might get a different impression from how it is described) but it is very well laid out, definitely enough space for two people, and the bed and large side chairs in front of the TV are very comfortable. There are large closets with both hanging space and shelves. The bathroom and kitchen are modern and the kitchen is equipped with basic cookware, dishes and flatware, but really nothing else (a little coffee and tea), so be aware that you will have to bring or buy hand soap and more toilet paper for the bathroom and anything else you might want in the kitchen. Decent sized mini fridge. Very good hot (very hot...)water with good water pressure, and everything is very clean. The little gated street feels safe and is quiet, despite busy street it is on. Loic is prompt to respond to emails and timely with a lot of good information, and Chlo was available to let me in and give a good tour and introduction to the apartment, as well as very quick to respond (bravo, Chlo!) when we had a problem with the big metal door to the street sticking shut in the heat (fortunately a rare problem). No English language TV channels at all, would have been nice for news, but if you can understand the French there are a couple of news channels, among others. This is an area I have never stayed in before and would not usually book in, but it was very easy to get to the No. 1 Metro line and to walk to a number of other places, and I would definitely come back here. Very pleasant experience! 22 June 2017 - 17:52:00

Met by Chloe very helpful explaining all, quiet building but close to Metro and Paris tourist classics. Comfortable, clean appt. TV with English channels, compact and modern facilities great shower. Restaurants , supermarkets and street market nearby Poncelet, check out chicken on corner. Convenient to airport transport 5-10 mins to bus from CDG/Orly and Metro. A vase would be nice as in summer many beautiful florists. Will stay here again. 28 July 2017 - 15:29:00

The place was as depicted on the web site. However, there were a few small details that were overlooked. Apparently, before a guest occupies the apartment no one checks to make sure everything is working properly in the apartment. We were unfortunate enough, that the TV did not work for 3 days, the stove was not reset, and the prior occupants must have smoked since there was cigar odor in the apartment the entire stay. Even small items, such as the toilette seat being attached to the bowl was overlooked. The response time for the TV not working was immediate but the TV did not work until several days later when my husband managed to fix it himself. In other words, the response time is great but fixing the problem was lacking. On the positive side. the place is very clean. The fridge and air conditioning work fantastic. The location is great as well as the neighborhood. It feels like you belong rather than just passing by. The restaurants were fantastic and having all the stores within walking distance was very convenient. The taxi stands were just across the street as well as the metro. Finally, we did enjoy the apartment and would recommend it. 16 July 2016 - 06:58:00

We were delighted to find this wonderful apartment in Champs Elysees neighborhood particularly since it was so close to the metro, easy to access from the CDG airport. A quiet place and a haven after long days spent with crowds eager to see Parisian sights. The apartment requires ability to walk up at least one narrow flight of stairs. We love to cook so the nearby open air vegetable, cheese, wine and meat markets were awesome. We were a bit challenged by the apartment's high tech stove top -- not intuitive at all and no directions anywhere! Even web searches were ineffective. So, our advice to the owner is to have a bit more explanation for those of us who will actually use the kitchen equipment! Perhaps a more detailed guide for how to use air conditioner, TV and kitchen equipment would be useful. The apartment was well furnished, lovely bedding and towels, tastefully decorated. Local restaurants and access to shopping areas were also terrific. We'd highly recommend this place for couples who want a great, romantic Parisian experience. DELIGHTFUL all around. 06 October 2015 - 15:01:40

Being our first visit to Paris, we were a little unsure of where to stay. It turned out that the Cocoon Apartment was ideal; close to a host of good restaurants, the metro across the road and the Arc de Trimphe and Champs-Elysees just around the corner. In fact we walked nearly everywhere around Paris and then found coming home to the Cocoon a delight. The apartment itself is exactly as per the photos - very well appointed and all you need for a short stay. Zohra was also extremely helpful in meeting us upon our arrival, taking us through the apartment and its workings and general advice on Paris. Highly recommend staying here. 01 December 2015 - 06:59:21

We had a fabulous stay in Loic's apartment. Best possible location, excellent, modern with everything you may need. Loic and Michelle were very helpful from the first enquiry and until the last minute. I hope we I'll come back to Paris and this beautiful apartment. 04 June 2016 - 06:08:14

This is a very well done modern studio apartment in the heart of Paris a couple of hundred meters from the Arc de Triomphe. Newer appliances (cook top stove, small refrigerator, dishwasher - no oven, but a microwave). It is well lit with a couple of skylights, and two large windows by the bed. Comfortable king bed, flatscreen TV, WIFI etc. Bathroom has a walk in shower (no tub) with a skylight above. It is a half a block from a metro station and about one block from a daily street market. It does have air conditioning, which is a plus for Paris summers, and not all that common. We have rented several different apartments in Paris over the years, and this is the nicest. We will absolutely stay here again. 02 May 2017 - 14:24:00

This was a beautiful apartment in a lovely part of Paris. It was exactly as advertised on a quiet street. The a/c worked well which was great because it was in the 80's and humid in Paris while we where there. Great bed and linens, lovely shower head too. It was so quiet we rarely heard a peep. We had our first dinner across the street at Le 4 Saisons. It serves food all day long and my husband had a great duck confit. Very charming! There is an ATM and Monoprix about 2 blocks away. The Arch of Triumphe is around the corner a few blocks and so lovely! We will stay here again for certain! 06 September 2017 - 14:46:00

Perfect location and a beautiful studio apartment. Quiet street, friendly neighborhood, near everything. Best accommodations while traveling in recent memory. Thanks Loic & Michele! 30 November 2017 - 14:12:00

We spent 5 nights in this beautiful apartment, it was a great size for two people with many restaurants outside our door . It was only a short work to the Arc de Truimph and Metro. I would recommend this apartment if you are looking for a stay in Paris . 26 September 2017 - 10:24:00

Loic's property was lovely. Michelle welcomed us and showed us where everything was and how things worked. Great location and so quiet in such a busy noisy city. Close to Big Bus stop, airport shuttle bus and local shops, markets and cafes. We chose to dine in mostly and cooking was easy too. For us "oldies" the stairs with luggage meant for careful as you go. It is a compact apartment but with everything you need. Comfy arm chairs, comfy bed and good shower. We would recommend it to other Aussies. 13 September 2017 - 06:20:00

The check in process was very easy. Chloe spoke English very well and explained everything. The apartment is very close to a metro stop and literally steps from all sorts of restaurants. Make sure you bring your own shampoo and soap including hand soap. We didn't bring any but the store was down the street so it was easy enough to buy some. The bed was comfy, internet was fast and air conditioning worked well! For those needing a car rental, there is a Sixt car rental within a 5 min walk. That was very convenient for our day trips out of Paris! We would definitely stay again! 16 August 2017 - 19:10:00

This was a great spot for our trip in Paris. Arrangements for accessing the rental were made well in advance with details for our upcoming stay. We were met at the gate upon arrival to instruct how to get in and use amenities of apartment. Everything was clean and perfect size for our stay (just my husband and me). We loved the location and found it close to everything we needed. Would definitely come back. The only comment we would request is for more clean towels to be available, but besides that would highly recommend to anyone! 18 September 2017 - 13:10:00

This apartment, while only one room, is spacious and comfortable. The finishes and furnishings are very contemporary, with a small beautiful kitchen area and the bathroom is magazine photo worthy! The owner was very responsive. The only thing missing were the very basic necessities such a paper towels, etc, in order to help keep the place as pristine as the owner obviously keeps it. The bed was very firm, but the sheets and pillows were just right! Unlike a hotel room, I do like to be able to "live in" rather than just sleep there and the kitchen was well stocked, even though there is no oven, there is a 4 burner cooktop and microwave and small refrigerator and dishwasher. Contrary to some of the previous reviews, there is english language TV stations, 233-240, you just have to search for them. The location was on a private, very quaint street, that is totally removed from the hustle and bustle of Rue Faubourg St. Honore right outside the entrance gate that has plenty of restaurants and stores. At the gate turn left and walk two blocks to the large Monoprix on Ternes which has a great selection of food and wine, the Maison du Pou across the street from Monoprix has top end gourmet take out food and the open air market is right there too. Going the other way- turning right outside the gate is a wine shop, chocolate shop, a tea shop and the organic food market that faces Rue Daru. All the best there is. The taxi stand is literally across the street. The metro is also across the street in the Ternes circle. An easy walk to Arc de Triumph, we walked to the Musee D'Orsay from the apartment, walked down Haussman to Printemps shopping area also, lovely strolling down St. Honore past the President's palace, and basically all over Paris within a mile or two, easy metro ride back. Closest station is on the 2 line, Ternes exit, or a few blocks to the Line 1 Charles DeGualle Etoile. Taxi to and from CDG is set 50euros if you walk to the taxi stand. Uber also easy to use, including your same app and cell phone info from the states, you do not need to change. This neighborhood has more local people, is just removed enough from the Champs area with all the tourists, and is not as crowed as the Marais gets by far. Highly recommend this apartment if size is not an issue - see the photos as accurate-safe neighborhood, lovely experience. 20 December 2017 - 20:13:00

This apartment was fantastic, much larger than in the photos and well equipped. It's in a quiet private street away from traffic so it is a peaceful stay all around. The hosts we very accommodating - we had an early flight and the host let us check in earlier than usual. Everything went very smoothly and we felt this was a safe haven after running around the city all day. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting. 06 October 2017 - 14:57:00

We came to Paris for a seven days vacation. We were welcomed by Michle who showed us around the appartment and gave us a few tips about the neighbourhood (market, stores and restaurants). The appartment is perfect for a couple or a single person. It is well equipped, recently renovated and very clean. It is located at the end of a private alley and thus it is extremely quiet. You can even sleep with opened windows. Being at a three minutes walking distance from Arc de Triomphe, you could say that you really are in the middle of the action. 16 October 2017 - 16:21:00
