An amazing location for exploring Paris! The Wall Street Journal in January, 2014 calls our neighbourhood (the 6th) the 'Creme de la Creme' and now the most expensive address in Paris with a rustic vibe that evokes the feel of an 18th century neighbourhood with 21st century amenities and has been the stomping grounds for Europe's intellectual & artistic elite for the last 100 years. Enjoy this beautifully renovated, bright, two bedroom, two bathroom (each with shower, sink + toilet) apartment. Elegantly furnished and appointed- all brand new high end furniture & appliances. I can't express how perfect this apartment was for our visit to Paris. The layout of the apartment is smart and spacious. The furniture and features are top-notch. The three gorgeous windows are charming and the bedroom air-conditioners were plenty strong enough for our August visit. The showers featured upgraded shower heads and the water pressure was great. I can't recommend Jane's apartment enough. 18 August 2017 - 14:50:00

My wife and I recently spent ten nights at Jane's property. It was by far the best of many stays in Paris over the past thirty years. The apartment is extremely well appointed and spacious. It is so comfortable that there is a great temptation just to sit down and read a book or listen to good music and forget about the outside world. The area is brilliant with many great bars and restaurants in Rue des Canettes and the surrounding alley ways. The location is central to and within walking distance of most of Paris' central attractions. If you do not want to walk, a taxi rank, multiple bus routes and a metro are within a few minutes of the front door. A huge plus is that, although Rue des Canettes really buzzes to the wee hours, the bedrooms area at the back of the apartment and are very quiet. The "meeting and greeting", undertaken by Roland, was performed very efficiently and graciously. It was much appreciated after 30+ hours of continuous air travel. The apartment was perfect for the two of us and would suit a family of four where two children did not mind sharing a double bed. In our view it would be a bit "squeezy" for four adults. 13 September 2017 - 15:19:00

This is an exceptional property...exceptional in its attributes...2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lots of closet space, and well equipped kitchen; its cleaniness, and its location...a vibrant area with lots of excellent restaurants. I highly recommend this appartment. This was my second time at this place and am excited for my next visit. 10 October 2017 - 20:37:00

Apartment was beautiful. Love the decorating. My kind of style. The lighting was magnificent. The apartment was very quiet; never heard anything during the night 13 October 2017 - 19:59:00

This was our first trip "on our own" to Paris. The couple with whom we traveled had never been to France before so it was very special for them, but equally so for my husband and myself. The apartment did not disappoint -- we were afraid the description was too good to be true, but not so. We especially loved the living room where we shared breakfast (croissants of course!) and planned our day (walking off those croissants!). We unwound at the end of the day sharing our stories and reflections of Paris with the windows open listening to the sounds of the city . It is located in a lively neighborhood with shops and restaurants close at hand. We had shared several conversations and e-mails with Jane before we left home so we felt we knew about the apartment and the surrounding area. Thank you, Jane. Roland, too, was great. He gave us some recommendations of restaurants and was helpful with the workings of the apartment. We had a fabulous time, and are still glowing from our two-week stay in Paris. 31 October 2017 - 12:28:00

My husband, 15- year old daughter and I just returned from a week in Paris staying at this gorgeous apartment. Two bedrooms and two baths, each with their own separate air conditioning units made for a very comfortable stay. The weather was very hot and humid so to return to a well-cooled apartment after a day of walking all over the city was a welcome reprieve! The small street this apartment is on is alive with restaurants and bars, ice cream shop. It is lively at night but with the sound-proof windows closed you would never know it. Washer and dryer both worked very well which made it easy to pack lightly and be able to wash clothes as needed. Roland, the caretaker/greeter in Paris was very helpful and friendly and available by phone any time we had a question. He was kind enough to have purchased some beverages and snacks for us to enjoy upon our arrival. It was our 20th wedding anniversary on our arrival day and he also had bought a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, on behalf of my husband, so they'd be there when we arrived. Nothing was lacking in this lovely apartment and we would highly recommend it to anyone. We would buy it and live there if we could! The one drawback is that the lift/elevator is up one flight of stairs so if you have heavy luggage, it's a little tough to bring it up and down the curved stairs. If you pack lightly and plan on doing laundry, this wouldn't be an issue though. 27 July 2013 - 18:26:26

We are a family of four with 2 kids ages 9 and 5 and stayed for eight night end of July/early August. This apartment was perfect for our family. The kids were able to share the second bedroom although if they were teenagers this would have been a challenge. There is a sofa sleeper in the family room, however. The apartment was recently remodeled and is up to date and beautiful. The bedrooms face an interior courtyard which was great because it was very quiet. The street-side can be loud with the windows open as it is a very active neighborhood. Bedrooms were also air conditioned which was very refreshing after a long day and the warm weather. Sheila was a pleasure to interact with during the rental process and Roland met us at the apartment upon our arrival to walk us through the apartment and and give us some pointers on the neighborhood - including the location of a great wine shop and a boulangerie in the neighborhood. There are many nice restaurants in the neighborhood and many sights are an easy walk from the apartment. Metro is also conveniently close. We loved the apartment, the street and the neighborhood. There was plenty of space for our young family. Can't wait to return. 07 September 2013 - 19:15:25

My husband and I were very lucky to find this apt on short notice due to a cancelation. It could not be more well done. It is in a vibrant neighborhood in the Saint Germain with lots of shops and restaurants at it's doorstep. The apartment itself is pristine. Beautiful artwork, high end finishes and everything so well thoughtout by the owner. Spotlessly clean, comfortable to come home to after a busy day and a great place to have your own lovely dinner with wonderful cheeses, wine and bread bought nearby. Other reviewers gave great details so I will just say...Book It! 13 May 2015 - 18:35:33

We just came back from a shortened week at this property. The owner was wonderful in setting the reservation. We had a car service meet us and then give us access to the property while the property manager was on vacation. The apartment itself is on a bustling smaller pedestrian style street with shops and restaurants. The apartment is on the 3rd floor which puts it a bit higher and there are new windows. We had no issues with noise. The interior is furnished beautifully with high end kitchen and bathrooms. The property manager returned from vacation and took the time to stop by and meet us which was very nice as well. Start to finish we had a great experience here. 17 November 2015 - 20:19:53

We recently stayed a week here, 2 adult couples, first time in Paris. The location is wonderful, we walked almost everywhere we needed to go, from Eiffel Tower to Sacre Couer (well back from Sacre Couer) to the Latin Quarter to the Marais to the Louvre. The neighborhood is great for shopping (for those into that), but filled with small cafes and restaurants and bakeries and markets. Lively but no problem with noise. The apartment is very spacious, having 2 baths and a washer / dryer made travel much easier. Roland was a delight, and the car service he recommended was a great idea for travellers loaded with baggage. We enjoyed walking each morning to the bakery and coming back for coffee and croissants, and having the space just to hang out if we wanted. 29 February 2016 - 18:36:02

My husband and I are awaiting the taxi to take us to the train station and I have a few moments to reflect. On behalf of all 4 of us that enjoyed your apartment, thank you for the lovely experience! This was a very special trip, my son became engaged to a wonderful lady and we spent an amazing evening Parisian style with our future inlaws. Truly precious memories. We were enchanted by the apartment, it was beautifully appointed and we were very comfortable, we had everything we needed and the neighborhood is fantastic! Thank you to Roland for making my son and his fiance's arrival so welcoming as we came later, and for making our departure so easy. Thank you, and I can only dream that we may return someday. 26 May 2016 - 17:25:38

We spent 2 weeks at this wonderful apartment in Paris in June 2016. It is tastefully decorated with exceptional art. It is spacious, well equipped, well kept and clean with two bathrooms. The street is busy and noisy...we were there when Euro 2016 was on but the bedrooms are quiet as they are located at the back of the unit. The street is fun with lots of good restaurants, cafes wine bars and bars within a 2 block radius. It is centrally located and walking distance to numerous attractions...Louvre, d'Orsay, Notre Dame etc. The host there is very helpful, friendly and delightful to chat with. We thoroughly enjoyed this place and look forward to a return visit. 02 July 2016 - 20:09:28

We (family of 4, two teenagers) stayed in this fantastic apartment in August for five days. It is perfectly situated to walk to the Seine, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and to access all of the cafes and shopping in the St. Germain area. Also near the Metro and a cab stand if you are venturing further away. It was a huge help to have a washing machine and dryer, as well as the ability to keep a few things in the fridge and make a cup of coffee. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, with renovated kitchen and bathrooms. At the same time, it feels old world. Truly the best of both. Jane (the owner) and Roland (the manager) were charming, responsive, and shared a lot of information about the area with us. I would not hesitate for five seconds to book this apartment again. In fact, I can't wait to return... 18 October 2016 - 21:42:54

Our family recently traveled to Paris and stayed in this delightful, perfectly situated, and perfectly appointed apartment. We were 5 people initially with my older son and girlfriend only there for a few days so we had plenty of room. What I love besides location was that the description of the apartment was spot on. And the owner was terrific to work with as well her manager who spent over an hour with us acquainting us with not only with the apartment but the neighborhood (always need to know where the nearest boulangerie is located). I recommend this apartment and this neighborhood to anyone wanting to try out living in a fun, bustling neighborhood. Can't wait to go back. 11 April 2016 - 19:41:34

The reviews we read before booking this apartment were absolutely correct. The apartment is beautiful, thoughtfully laid out, spacious, and extremely comfortable. It is located very near a variety of restaurants, metro and bus stops, grocery stores, and an incredible bakery (Gerard Mulot). The owner was responsive and very helpful, and the apartment manager, Roland, met us upon arrival and explained the operation of everything in the apartment. We give it a very enthusiastic five stars! 20 December 2017 - 16:27:00

This is the most comfortable and well appointed apartment in which I have stayed in Paris. The lounge room provides comfortable sofas and enough chairs for visitors. The kitchen is really well equipped and functional and the bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely. As well as those essentials the apartment has a lovely feel and the owner has entrusted guests with a beautifully decorated space and many great books to choose to read. This apartment is in the centre of St Germain, close to the market and Gerard Mulot for fabulous bread. It is a few steps from Boulevard St Germain where you are immediately in the centre of the arrondissement with everything that it has to offer. I hope to be able to return again to this delightful apartment. 04 January 2018 - 15:35:00

It was a pleasure to stay in this wonderful apartment. Excellent on site liaison with a warm welcome and easy and helpful departure. Super quiet street just moments from superb transport links, shopping and neighbourhood highlights. Thoroughly recommend this property. 06 January 2018 - 17:31:00
We had a wonderful 2 week stay in this apartment. After some initial small problems after a long flight (multiple keypads to enter building, stairs to reach very small elevator, tricky front door), we grew to feel very happy in the apartment. It is very well appointed and comfortable, with 2 sofas and multiple chairs. The internet works well. The beds are comfortable. Although the second bedroom is really only big enough for a bed, it worked out okay for two adults (who weren't a couple) who didn't mind being closed in, as it is more like an alcove. There is plenty of closet space. We enjoyed having English language TV stations to keep up with the news. The location can't be beat. You have dozens of great restaurants and bars nearby, and all of the tourist places to visit you could want. I imagine the noise from the rowdy bars on the narrow street can be a problem at times, but the bedrooms are in the back and quieter. We only had one night where there was a loud group outside that woke us up in the middle of the night. Overall, thumbs up! 27 January 2018 - 23:33:00
