We spent a week at this lovely apartment in St. Germain. It was exactly as described in the listing. Muriel paid attention to the all the details and provided information very quickly. The location is convenient for metro, buses and a taxi stand. Raspail market provided some fresh produce and treats. Would recommend this apartment for anyone staying in Paris. 24 March 2015 - 17:38:25

I have rented in Paris each year for about 10 years. This is my favorite in terms of the whole enchilada. Good value, clean and comfortable for 2 people, wifi worked great, terrific location with everything you need outside within 4 minutes. We cooked in a few times, everything we needed was there. The bathroom has only a shower, no bath, but a decent one. Sometimes I have had hassles with extra charges, etc. but none of that with this one. I conclude that it is not a mistake that it has so many strong reviews. She's earned them. 10 April 2015 - 13:08:25

We, a family of 3, just came back from an unforgettable week long vacation from Paris. Muriel's apartment was definitely a big part of our parisienne life experience. Every thing that other reviewers wrote is accurate from location to Muriel's prompt response to all concerns. To our family, the best thing was to come back to, tired from our walking and sight seeings, our "home" instead to a hotel room. Our only regret is the fact that we could stay there for only 1 week. Muriel thank you for sharing your home with our family! 11 April 2015 - 14:01:46

We stayed nearly 3 weeks and felt very comfortable here. First, the apartment - it's exactly as shown in the photos. Very clean, light and airy and large enough for 2 people. The bed is very comfortable and when the French doors are closed, it's very quiet for sleeping. During the day, we often had all the doors open to enjoy the breeze and it was great to step out onto the balcony and check out the street below. It was very convenient to have a washer/dryer in the apartment, although it took a little to get used to from American machines! We cooked a few meals and found everything we needed. Now, the location - I would have difficulty finding a more perfect area of Paris to stay in. The apartment is on one of the most coveted residential streets, rue du cherche-midi and you have EVERYTHING you need and more within a few blocks. Poilane, the famous bakery is a 5 minute walk away! Le Bon Marche is one block away along with Le Grand Epicerie which is the most beautiful and amazing food store ever. We had so much fun shopping here. There are pharmacies, boulangeries, restaurants, chocolatiers (several!), florists and more within 2-3 blocks. And there's an Angelina's (a favorite) on rue de bac which is just a few blocks away. The Metro is also 2-3 blocks away. A wonderful restaurant is also in the next block, L'Epi Dupin where we had a lunch and a dinner - amazing food and reasonable prices. With all of this, it was not overly busy like in the areas up near Boulevard Saint-Germain but you are only a 10 minute walk away. I highly recommend this apartment and the price is very reasonable. You won't be disappointed! Thank you to the owner, Muriel who communicated with me from the very beginning and made for an easy rental experience. 16 October 2014 - 15:05:46
  5. The owner and the manager were courteous and provided good customer service. Within easy reach of most of Paris. Fine tea shop, fish monger and butcher just a few doors down from the apartment. Bakery which won the 2015 best baguette award and Poilane are both a few minutes walk. Raspail street market nearby 3 days a week. We would enjoy staying here again. 21 May 2015 - 19:55:23

We rented the apartment for the month of June, arriving via CDG we took the RER to Gare du Nord, and transferred to the M4 to Saint-Placide. From there we walked West down the street between the HSBC and LHorizon Restaurant one block and turned right. There are 3 metro lines and many bus routes in the area which makes it very easy to get around Paris. We were met by JP who checked us in and gave us the run down. We had changed the meeting time several times but he was very flexible and helpful. The apartment is a great base from which to operate with all the conveniences that you need. The first thing you should do is read the welcome letter from Muriel as there is important information to guide you. Some appliances are different to operate but there are manuals in English and French to guide you. We bought food from the Bon Marche (which also has some USA brands) and the Carrefour further down the street. We enjoyed many happy hours with wine, cheese, pate and baguettes. One excellent cold veggie drink for lunch we discovered was Alvalle Gazpacho that hit the spot on a hot day. 27 June 2015 - 20:04:41

Comfortable bed, excellent internet, some English TV, well stocked kitchen and an elevator for the 4th floor. Location easy to get around and close to the Metro (San Placide) District 6 is central to the sights. We would definitely go back and would recommend highly!!! 02 October 2015 - 08:22:32

We had a fabulous week at this lovely apartment. It was in easy walking distance to a number of very lovely restaurants. A few blocks away is the Metro, so you are quite close to navigating Paris very easily. The apartment was cozy and quiet, just a block away from a lovely Marketplace where you could buy anything. And a lovely grocery store very close. The apartment has all the information that you would need to know about the area and how to navigate the apartment. Bed was very comfortable, I wold recommend this place without any reservations. 15 October 2015 - 19:57:36

My husband and I stayed here for one week in early April. The apartment is just as pictured with sleek modern kitchen, comfortable living room, and small balcony off of the bedroom where we could get some wonderful photos of meandering Paris streets and classic rooftops. As we circled down the spiral stairway towards the foyer the one morning we heard someone playing "L'amour est un oiseau rebele..." from Carmen on the piano. It was like something out of a movie. The apartment is ideally located; we walked nearly everywhere - to Le Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Musee Rodin and other places. The Metro station is also close by which will take you in a jiffy to whatever site you are after. Steps away are three wonderful eating places with friendly staff: Le Rousseau, Le Nimrod, and Epi Dupin. There are plenty of shops as well in this neighborhood for whatever suits your fancy, be it baguettes, boots, or bonbons. I would not hesitate to return to this apartment, and hope one day that we will. 14 April 2013 - 20:16:42

This apartment was perfect for our month-long stay in Paris. It was close to two Metro lines with great restaurants, shops and bakeries right outside our front door. We were just a block away from Au Bon Marche and within easy walking distance to museums and markets. The apartment was clean, safe and quiet...and well-appointed with everything we needed for our stay. I have already recommended it to friends planning a visit to Paris! 04 April 2016 - 13:09:21
  11. A fantastic base for your stay in Paris. Clean, secure, well equiped and comfortable. A typical Parisian building - but with a lift to the front door - in a typical Parisian street with bistros and brasseries (make sure you book a table at L'Epi Dupin), boulangeries and patisseries all downstairs and a fantastic regular food market just down the street and Bon Marche just around the corner. Several Metro stations within minutes walk, but you'll be surprised where you can reach (and what you'll 'see on the way) by walking. Noise? We slept soundly every night in a very comfy bed. The service provided by Muriel and her team was excellent and everything went smoothly. A small note: it has the biggest shower in any apartment in Europe we've stayed in. 29 May 2016 - 08:40:39

We loved our month long stay at Muriel's apartment. All the previous reviews are very accurate. The apartment is well furnished, clean, and comfortable. It is ideally located. You can walk to many places. If you chose not to walk, there are 3 metro lines and 11 bus routes nearby. We highly recommend taking the time to learn the bus system, as we found it far superior to using the metro. We would the happy to rent this apartment again! It was wonderful! 05 May 2014 - 21:46:42

We love the Cherche-Midi apartment. The pictures are great and a true reflection of the property. It lacks nothing to make it a wonderful home away from home. The entire process of inquiring and booking the property was very professional and expeditious. Upon arrival, the agent that met us at the apartment was very professional as well. Thank you Muriel for the delicious box of chocolate and the warm card that was placed by the fireplace. This property is in a great location, close to the metro, churches, museums, shops, and supermarket name it and its within walking distance. The apartment was extremely clean in all areas, with great linen and comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well equipped, I found it very easy to cook some fairly gourmet meals during our Christmas stay. This is a wonderful apartment in Paris and it helped us have a memorable holiday. I would absolutely recommend Muriel's services or the Cherche-Midi St Germain apartment to anyone thinking of staying in Paris. We hope to be able to return to Paris soon and stay at the Cherche-Midi or have the opportunity to visit any other of your incredible properties. Merci. 31 January 2011 - 19:08:48

This is a very nice apartment in a great location. It is very close to fun street markets, and there are several metro stops close by. It is not air conditioned, and it did get quite warm a few days during our stay. The website photos are exactly what the apartment looks like. It is nice to have a little extra room to spread out, and also the washer/dryer is helpful. 04 July 2011 - 19:35:03
  16. This is a wonderful place to stay, we'd recommend it highly for 2 people who want to see all the great things in Paris, then come "home" and eat and drink near to the apartment - it's even better than the pics show, the windows in the lounge and bedroom make it light & airy. The location is fantastic; Metro is nearby, but it's so central we strolled everywhere, and enjoyed seeing the real Parisian shops and buildings There are so many good things in the Cherche-Midi and the streets of it - restaurants (L'Epi - you must book, and La Martlotte are excellent) and there are more further up the street There is a fresh fruit shop across the street, a fresh bread shop around the corner, and the Harrods of Paris, Le Bonne Marche, is only 5 mins away, and a Carrefour supermarket further up the same street - that's as well as 2 Brasseries nearby, and a very French little bar (quiet) across the road. It was wonderful to come back to such a beautiful apartment, after an enjoyable day sight-seeing, and relax with a drink, have a shower, then stroll to a nearby restaurant for a meal - heaven on earth for us - there's even a Nicholas wine shop next door but one, in case you run out ! The apartment is also very well equipped with a large Sony TV, DVDs, CD player, all of which looked pretty new, and there was wi-fi access as well. The owner, Muriel, is v efficient, and easy to work with, and all the booking and payment process and refund of deposit went v smoothly, no hassles whatsoever. This really was a wonderful place to stay, thanks. 12 July 2011 - 11:40:04

We stayed in Muriel's apartment for 9 nights and loved living like a Parisian. The apartment is just as nice as the pictures show and was extremely clean and well maintained. The bed is really comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The location is excellent, we loved being one block away from the Bon Marche and their amazing food floor. We bought a few meals here to take home! From the apartment you can walk to the Louvre however the best way to get around is the Velib bikes. There is a station around the corner and we used them every day to cover many miles around central Paris. (You need to sign up online to use the bikes, the roadside machines don't seem to accept foreign credit cards) We would not hesitate to recommend Muriel's apartment to anyone wishing to spend time in Paris and we hope to back again one day. Merci Muriel! 11 September 2011 - 19:29:23

We stayed in the apartment for 5 nights and due to location and the Metro we were able to visit most of the major sights in Paris and Versailles. The shopping nearby is excellent and we would definitely stay in it again. 26 October 2016 - 15:52:37

My wife and I stayed for 6 1/2 weeks and had a fantastic time. We had visited in Paris three times before but had only stayed in hotels. We wanted to get a feel for living in Paris - the apartment was a perfect way to do that. The apartment has everything you need for cooking and entertainment. The WIFI worked well and the TV is quite nice - we mostly watched news on France 24 (English) and BBC to keep up with the outside world. Ben from Roussel's Apartments met us the first day and gave us a tour of the apartment. He was very personable and speaks excellent english. The clothes washer worked well though the dryer function is not what Americans are used to (the dryer is not vented to the outside and works more like the way a dishwasher heat dries your dishes). You will need to hang your clothes in doorways to dry. We did not learn until the last week that there were spare linens and towels in plastic boxes under the bed (HINT: read the apartment information folder under the TV front to back early into your stay). There was easy Metro access to everywhere we wanted to go. We bought NAVIGO Dcouverte cards at the Tabac across the street - 5 euros one time for the card + 21 euros per week for unlimited Metro, RER (from CDG and ORY), Bus and some trains ( Fontainebleau , Versailles ). I used the Ulmon Pro (no adds) map app on our US smartphones with the downloaded Paris area map. The phone GPS will locate you on the map wherever you are with no need for wifi or a data connection and does not need a european smart phone account. We went to the farmers market on Boulevard Raspail every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday for fresh fruit, greens and the occasional roto chicken. Walks to take: Canal Saint Martin from Metro Stalingrad to Metro Bastille. The Promenade Plante (elevated park / walkway - used to be a train line ) from Metro Bastille to JARDIN DE REUILLY -PAUL PERNIN ( Metro Montgallet ) Museums not to miss (in addition to Louvre, D'Orsay, l'Orangerie, Pompidou): Muse Marmottan Monet, Memorial des Martyrs de la Deportation, Muse de Cluny, Muse Gustave Moreau, Muse Rodin, Muse Picasso Paris, Musee national des Monuments Francais. Do not miss the 11:00 Sunday Mass at Saint-Sulpice every Sunday - the organ is magnificent! To sum it all up, we had a wonderful time in Paris; and Muriels apartment was a great home base. We plan to be back for another month in this apartment next year! 08 August 2016 - 22:55:08

My family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights in July. The location is ideal, with plenty of restaurants and stores within a two block radius, and a short walk to most major Parisian sights. The apartment is well stocked, including an easy to use washer/dryer. We loved the long French windows that opened fully to let the breeze and the sounds of the street in while we were awake, but closed firmly and kept the apartment quite quiet at night. I would recommend this rental to other families. 29 July 2016 - 17:17:19
