Your next visit to Berlin will be comfortable, modern and luxurious? Then you enjoy the stay in Domaquaree with an elegant spacious 2-room apartment with French balconies in both rooms, underfloor heating throughout the apartment. Including a TV, blue ray player, CD, DVD. From the spacious double bed 2x2,20 meters (kingsize) you look at the moon. The floor in the apartment is made of dark brown oak wood and the apartments interior is designed with unique lightartobjects. Very safe area, security company 24hours. Only 5 minutes walk and you are in front of the TV tower in Alexanderplatz, the Rotes Rathaus, the Hackescher Markt, Hackesche courts, the State Opera, the Gendarmenmarkt, Konzerthaus and the Prince's palace. 10 minutes walk and you are at the Friedrichstrasse, Checkpoint Charlie, the Hotel Adlon, the Deutsches Theater, the Brandenburg Gate, the Jewish Synagogue, the creative arts center of Prenzlauer Berg, the Komische Oper, the German Reichstag. Approx. It is 15 minutes walk to Potsdamer Platz, the Victory Column, Tiergarten and the main railway station. By S-Bahn is only 10 minutes to the Zoo station of the former center of West Berlin with the Berlin Zoo and the Memorial Church. Directly in front of the house is a pier from which you can explore the capital on the waterways (tickets directly at the wharf). On your floor, you have access to the courtyard garden and another fountain. You are in the inner city and do have a peaceful sleep with no traffic nuisance, since no road is in front of or beside the house. The building is waterfront(river) but there is no direct riverview from the windows. The house is fully integrated into a pedestrian zone. The building has an underground car park which you can use for an additional fee. There is a pool, wellness spa and fitness center in the building which you can use for an extra fee. Restaurants, coffee shops and shopping centre are just 3minutes away. This apartment is designed for 2 people but a third person can sleep on the couch/sofa (not convertible) in the livingroom (only convenient for a short stay). Earlier check in or late check out possible depending on schedule and for extra fee (until 3 hours half daily rate, more than 3 hours full daily rate). There is an additional city tax of 5% for tourists which needs to be paid cash at arrival. To avoid this tax please bring a contract/letter from your company as proof that you visit for business purpose.

    Located in the Mitte, city center, across from Museum Island this is a very well kept and nicely furnished 1 bedroom apartment. It is convenient to walk to all major bus, tram, and Ubahn routes as well as being around the block from the Radisson Blu so that taxis are also readily available. Because Berlin is so spread out, it is very important to have access to public transportation, and this place provides this as well as being a comfortable retreat after a long day of sight seeing. 28 August 2014 - 09:30:03

    Das Apartment ist gross, mit hohen Decken und sehr speziellen und schne Beleuchtungen. Grosse moderne Kche mit einem schnen Wohnzimmer inklusive Konzertflgel und grossem 3D Flachbildschirm TV. Grosses Bett und einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank, fr jede Frau ein Traum! Bad ist gross, modern und hat sogar eine Waschmaschine. Unser Gastgeber Thomas ist ein junger,netter und sehr zuvorkommender Typ. Hat uns in jeder Situation gute Tipps gegeben, Restaurants vorgeschlagen und uns die Stadt Berlin auf der Karte gezeigt und erklrt. Egal was anstand, Thomas kann dir in jeder Situation weiterhelfen und hat berall gute Kontakte in Berlin. Wenn wir nocheinmal nach Berlin gehen, dann sofort wieder zu ihm!     We spent the entire month of October in Berlin and having a place to call home was essential. We moved out twice for a few days and Tom was very helpful in storing our bags and returning them to the apartment. This apartment is attractively appointed with modern design and has all of the appliances and accessories for a pleasant stay and good wi-fi. It looks out over a covered promenade that is filled with restaurants and shops. There is a great deal of high-spirited activity at night but if the windows are closed the noise is greatly reduced. It is a lot of fun to watch the goings-on. It was chilly and rainy for part of the month and the heated floors were nice. Rooms are spacious and the double sinks in the bathroom were great. There are a lot of towels and hangers, a hairdryer and a dishwasher and washer/drier. The building was very accessible, well lit and secure and we felt safe in the neighborhood at night. The location could not have been better with every type of transportation available--tram, bus, S Bahn, U Bahn and cabs all within 1-2 blocks. The Haupt Bahnhof for long distance travel is two stops away. Within a very short walking distance are wonderful restaurants of all types. In the Hackescher Markt area there is Kaiser super market, an apothecary, K-Mart-type store, small nice shops and an ATM. The Galeria Department Store at Alexander Platz (a large, festive square with lots of activity and music) has a gorgeous food emporium and other eating areas. Great for take-out meals. Sight-seeing is remarkable from this location. Do take the river cruise that starts right by the apartment to see the city from a different perspective. Museum Island is right across the Spree river and walking down the famous Unter Den Linden takes you to and through historic areas and to the Brandenburg Tur. Everything is so accessible by public transportation. You needn't show your pass but if you are caught on a train without it there is a steep fine. If using a day pass you must validate your ticket prior to boarding by inserting it into a machine on the platform. Tom was a most congenial, accommodating host. He met us upon arrival, responded immediately to texts/email/calls and went out of his way to insure that everything was going well.     The location, less than a block from the Spree River and close to many forms of public transportation, museums, historic buildings, parks, cafes, and grocery stores is ideal. This thoughtfully designed, elegantly appointed, clean, high-ceiling, first-floor apartment has a well-furnished kitchen and is totally sound proof when windows are closed--no noise from neighbors. Like nearly all Berlin buildings it has no air conditioning, and Berlin had the hottest summer on record when we were there so we had to leave windows open at nights and were sometimes bothered by the chatter from the cafes below that the apartment's windows overlook. The cafes offered a range of good dinner options and are in a courtyard between two 8-story buildings. The courtyard has a high glass ceiling, is open on both ends, and is filled with medium-sized trees. Our host--who we enjoyed getting to know--immediately bought a new vacuum when we complained about the one in the apartment not being powerful enough (maid service is available but we chose to do our own cleaning). The dining table seats only two; there is a baby grand piano in the apartment. We would highly recommend this apartment to friends who value comfort, convenience, elegance, and security above a nice daytime view. 04 September 2015 - 18:15:12

    The apartment is located on a pedestrian walkway in an upscale building. There building is situated behind the Blue Radisson Hotel and next to the Spree River. The apartment is located on the first floor and overlooks a popular courtyard. It has large windows that can open like doors, which is great for people watching. Tom met us at the apartment and gave us the tour, and provided many tips on restaurants, shopping and tourist sites. The apartment was well-maintained and nicely-equipped. It has a large living area and was very comfortable. It has everything the listing advertised. The one thing it did not have was air conditioning, which apparently, most apartments don't. It apartment is centrally located and is close to many point of interest. Nice restaurants, grocery stores, an ATM, shopping and many tourist destinations are located close by. We walked many places but taxis, bicycles and street trains are also close. All in all the apartment was a great value, and we would highly recommend this apartment to friends and family.   7. It is a very nice luxurious and new apartment with all the amenities you might need to feel like you are home. It is like a home away from home. The location is perfect as you have public transportations, supermarkets, restaurants etc. literally on your door step. Also Hackescher Markt and Alexander Platz (shops, bars, and restaurants) are only a 2 minute walk away. Even though you are in the center of Berlin the apartment is very quiet and I had great and peaceful nights of sleep. Also I felt very safe as the area is very good and the building security was also very good. Tom was great. You will have a friend in Berlin to help you with whatever you need.   8. The apartment is perfectly located on a pedestrian walkway, and easy accessible from the road if you take a taxi. The location is VERY close to any kind of shopping that you desire to do and restaurants of every type are around. Right outside the building you have a great view the Berliner Dome. Some of the amenities that the host advertises are 100% correct. I was amazed to see the room that was available to use in this apartment. Was great to have new furniture with a giant TV, and a blu-ray player with 3-D glasses! The windows in the apartment are floor to ceiling and they even can open like a door or even hinge open to let the top come down. The wardrobes in the master bedroom are a good enough to house all the belongings that you bring and may buy. Also I traveled with a toddler who the host provided a high quality cot for my son to sleep in. The apartment was quite nice and very clean upon arrival and I am very satisfied with value for the money. My host was gracious enough even take my wife and I downtown and help us meet up with a tour group! My host showed me how to use everything in my apartment such as the dishwasher and clothes washer, oven, stove.. etc.. We enjoyed how easy it was to get a hold of our host and nothing was every too much trouble if we asked. If we mentioned that anything was not up for our expectations our host made sure to quickly satisfy our requests.     I was in Berlin for 9 days for a mix of work and fun. This apartment was perfect for the stay. It is spacious and comfortable, with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The location cannot be beat, right next to the Berliner Dom, Alexanderplatz, and in minutes take a stroll down the famous Unter den Linden street to the Brandenburg Tor. Tom was a great host and he gave us the full tour of the apartment and all the restaurants in the area. The kitchen is stocked with every appliance you would need during your stay!     The location of the apartment is extremely convenient: a Kaiser grocery store is located within a two minute walking distance; public transportation take you from the corner of the street directly to Alexander Platz were you find restaurants, a large department store: Galeria Kaufhof (shops, fine grocery department, cafeteria), a mall: Alexa (shops and supermarket), and access to trains and subways going in all directions. We recommend purchasing a weekly pass for unlimited transportation through the city - the system is extensive and very efficient. The apartment itself is very comfortable with large rooms, comfortable furniture, a modern bathroom and a well equipped kitchen. The building is very quiet, clean and secured, in a touristic and safe area; the entrance is off a pedestrian street with little traffic, the large windows open on the second floor over a covered alley populated with restaurants terraces. We rented this apartment for two weeks in July, when the temperatures remained above average on most days; nevertheless, the rooms stayed fresh during the day, and at night we were able to sleep with all windows opened. The conversations from the restaurants below are drowned by the sound of the fountain from 10am to 8pm, and the table service is over at midnight; only once did we experience loud conversations late in the night. When windows are closed, we could not hear any sound from outside. Despite the fact that Tom was very busy with the setting up of his own vernissage, he was always prompt to keep in touch when we asked for his help, and his responses were kind and helpful. We certainly would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to friends, and would return to this place for a further exploration of Berlin. 01 August 2014 - 13:52:14

    The apartment is in a very convenient location with supermarkets and good cafes/restaurants both on the river and close by near the station. You are within walking distance of most of the major attractions of Berlin. The apartment itself is spacious and well equipped with everything you might need. Tom was very friendly and helpful and provided us with a high chair and cot for our baby.     We were met by Tom upon arrival and he provided us a very detailed description of the apartment and the surrounding area. He is an excellent property manager of an excellent property. We were very happy with our choice the central location was easy to get to from airport. It was easy to walk or use public transportation to all the important sites the city has to offer. The apartment was very clean. The bed was comfortable we used the kitchen several times and it worked out very well.     This was a last minute rental as our Airbnb in Berlin fell through. We loved Berlin and a large part of it was staying in this high ceilinged, spacious, beautiful home for 6 days. What a find! The property is located just across the bridge from Museum Island. It's a modern apt/office building in a modern part of Berlin near the river, with many restaurants, coffee shops and public transport tram and the station at Hackescher Markt very closeby. The apt is as described and the construction/furnishing/decor is of very high quality, new, and clean. The in-floor heating was amazing! Tom was very helpful, working with us, answering our questions promptly and giving very meticulous instructions for our arrival and departure.     Apartment is in this modern building on the river Spree opposite the Berliner Dom. We were able to walk everywhere and Tom was helpful in getting us settled. What was not clear until we arrived is that the apartment is on the first floor in the rear facing an office building 15 meters away with three different restaurants fifteen feet below that close at 11. There is no view of what is shown in the picture associated with this apartment until we got outside of the building. With the lights on it was a bit like a fish bowl with floor to ceiling windows making the inside of the apartment clearly visible from below and for three stories opposite unless you closed the curtains. We were in Berlin in March so could close the windows which were soundproof. In the summer, with no air conditioning, this could be a problem. Second big issue was the advertised price. We were required to pay the amount in full when we agreed to take the apartment and, with taxes, a hefty cleaning charge and a 700 euro key deposit it was twice what we had expected from the writeup. So 700 euros (about 1/3 the amount) of our money was tied up for ten weeks for one week of use. Living in North America, we got dinged twice by Visa for the key charge. We left the apartment on March 31 and the credit appeared on our statement on April 8th. Tom needs to change this arrangement to make it more buyer friendly. It is our worst deposit experience in many years of VBRO usage. On this trip, for instance, we stayed also in Prague where the deposit was 15%, the rest payable in cash or credit on arrival. In Paris, it is 50% with the same payment system. There were no additional key or security deposits or cleaning charges. All three places we are staying about a week and were comparable on a quality scale. While the apartment was very tidy, it could have been cleaner, especially given the hefty cleaning charge. We are travelling with a car and Tom was very helpful arranging a discount for parking located safely in the building which we appreciated. He was also very helpful directing us to websites for cultural events and tickets. His communication was prompt and addressed our questions as they arose. 11 April 2017 - 09:25:00

Comfortable, clean, great location with plenty of sights nearby and easy access to transportation, recommend highly.     After spending 4 days in Berlin staying in this apartment, I returned home and re-read the other reviews. I second all the good things mentioned: Tom's availability and willingness to share information, the condition of the apartment, the excellent location for touring, options for eating out, close market and coffee shops etc. Since we were only in town for a short time, we also appreciated the close access to the City Circle "hop on, hop off" bus to give us a quick overview of the city and also steps away to the canal tour boats. We ate at Emma's Restaurant in the courtyard our last night in town and had a nice meal, great salad and schnitzel. In addition to the other review comments about the apartment, the bathroom is huge by European standards and includes a spacious vanity area with double sinks! If you are coming to the apartment via Taxi, give the Radisson Blu as your destination, drivers will know where to drop you off and you are a half block from the apartment.     We spent 2 weeks in this apartment and were blown away by the location. You are within walking distance to an amazing collection of museums, concert halls, restaurants, shopping, sights, etc. You also had outstanding access to U-bahn, S-bahn, and Tram to get anywhere else you wanted to go. There is a great grocery store, Kaufland, that is 5 minutes walk. There is a great gym called SuperFit that is 20 minutes walk but has all the equipment you could imagine (15 Euro for a day pass). Alexanderplatz is 10 minutes walk and has tons of shopping, restaurants, bars. The apartment its clean and spacious. Double sink in the bathroom and one of the best shower/tubs we have ever used in Europe; the shower head was high, powerful and the glass shield was larger than most. The unit had a very functional kitchen including dishwasher. There is also a wash machine and drying rack. The internet worked well for the most part. The more devices you use, the slower it goes. Tom was an excellent manager with a great explanation of the apartment and how to use everything. He was very responsive to questions or issues; we found the kitchen cookware subpar and he replaced it the next day. As with many apartments in Europe there is no A/C but given that it was October that was not an issue as the windows are huge and open like doors if you want fresh air.     Tom, the owner, is friendly and helpful. The apartment is well-equipped with cooking utensils, a large TV & DVD combo, and a baby grand piano! Everything worked perfectly. When the triple-paned windows are closed, the apartment is remarkably quiet. To be candid, we were in Berlin to experience Berlin--not to stay at home. So the principal thing we were searching for was location. We simply could not have been more pleased. Much of what we wanted to see was within easy walking distance, and everything else was easily accessible using convenient, prompt, cheap public transport--just steps away.
