Two bedroom, two bath apartment on a quiet street in Manhattan! The apartment was exactly as described in the listing - clean, well-equipped and perfect for our family trip. Close to multiple subway stops, restaurants, Madison Square Garden and all that the city offers. Meeting Mariano was a highlight as well! Looking forward to a return visit soon. 19 April 2017 - 02:07:00

I would stay in this apartment again, which is always the indicator to me of the quality and value of travel accommodations. The listing description was spot on with regard to location, layout, amenities. We found the apartment to be clean and perfect condition. Location is awesome, 1 block to subway that will take you uptown ( Broadway shows) and downtown and to any location you want to go. Street is quite and clean as there is no real through traffic. Having manager on site is great should you need anything. I would highly recommend this apartment. There are 3 flight of stairs to climb but well worth in when you arrive in your awesome clean apartment. 14 September 2016 - 15:24:09

From the get go we knew this would be a perfect rental. The owners communicated clearly and promptly and the building manager greeted us on arrival with charm and great positive energy, explanation of the workings of the apartment, heat, air conditioning etc. Served us chilled water, such a nice touch. The place was larger than we expected for a NYC rental with plenty of elbow room in the living, dining and sleeping spaces. Comfy beds. Nice sheets and towels. CLEAN! The kitchen was completely fitted out for a cook and even the knives were sharp! Big screen TV. Leather sofa and chair. Dining chairs for six. Laundry room with w/d INSIDE the apartment! The space is filled with light. Staged with nice decorative touches not ticky tacky personal objects and also a vase of fresh flowers!! One thing worth noting, and it didn't bother us but might other people. The building stairwell is a bit rickety and not suitable for anyone with limitations in leg strength or balance. It is a five story walk up "tenement" style building in which the apartments have been totally remodeled in a modern style. The building/stairs not so much. I have to say that the building manager, Mariano, made us feel particularly well cared for. He too is an architecture and art buff. The day we arrived he created a wonderful listing of all the noteworthy buildings in the neighborhood, a start to finish tour, including addresses and architects. He knew which shows were at each museum we visited and was super generous with his time. The location (proximity to Highline, Galleries, Train, Restaurants etc.) was ideal. FIT on the same block provided a non-stop fashion show and security guards round the clock. Generally an awesome spot. 09 November 2016 - 22:46:00

Five stars! This was a great place to stay. We so enjoyed the comfort of really being home away from home especially after being out all day. The apartment is spacious with lots of light and very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was fully equipped. Location is wonderful on a quiet street, yes in New York City. There is a Whole Foods two blocks away that provided our food essentials and take out. Two bedrooms and two baths allowed us to include our daughter who took the train into the city, for a couple of nights. There is even a washer/dryer in the apartment which made life easy. Mario Ros, the resident manager, was so helpful whenever we had questions and was a fountain of information re: the city. We would stay there again. The apartment accommodates four people. Good to know: there is no elevator. :) Worth the walk up. 30 December 2016 - 23:17:00

We very much enjoyed the ambience of the spacious apartment. Very good location and hardly any traffic and noice along the street. Special thanks to Mariano (property manager) for his kind help during our last hours in New York. 25 April 2017 - 06:06:00

My stay in this apartment was great. The area is well located in manhattan near good facilities and yet very quiet as there is a boom gate preventing vehicles to enter without permission, as it is within the Fashion Institute Campus. We were greeted by Mariano ( who has an apartment on a lower level the building ) on arrival .He was a font of knowledge of the area and helpful with setting us up once inside. The apartment itself is on the 4th floor. It is spacious, modern and well equipped. The kitchen has much in the way of appliances and utensils, both for cooking and eating. This apartment added value to our vacation. The only caveat is that there are 51 steps to the front door. However an Uber driver or taxi-cab driver would help with luggage (for a tip ) I would guess. 15 May 2017 - 01:00:00

This apartment is a great option for 4 people. It is really well kept, has lots of light, very clean and comfortable. Loved the area, close to Chelsea market, Eataly and other great places. Both Paule and Mariano were very helpful and attentive, really great hosts. Mariano is available for any question/ problem you may have. Only one negative point: it does NOT have an elevator so you do need to climb 3 flights of staris, which for checking in and out was quite a hussle. But loved the place! 23 May 2017 - 16:13:00

Just returned from our fabulous NYC holiday. We stayed in this fantastic apartment for 5 nights, 2 couples. Lots of room and all the home comforts you could need. Mariano is the perfect gentleman and a wondrfully interesting person, helpful but not intrusive. Would definitely stay again. Perfect location for all the sites, on a really quiet street for NY and close to local amenities. Owners quick with responses on any queries or questions. 29 May 2017 - 20:51:00

This was our second trip to the third story walk up apartment in the fashion district of Chelsea and this place is a clean, quiet tastefully appointed oasis in NYC. Close to the Highline, Eataly, Flower district, Chelsea Market, Flat Iron district and easy subway/bus connection. The street is tree lined and very safe even at night. Bedroom and bathrooms are a good size and very comfortable. The nightly rates are reasonable for four people and having a kitchen and large flat screen Tv is an added plus. The owner Paule, is very accommodating and kind with all communication. The manager of the building, Mariano, is a great host- very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely book again when we think of our next trip to NYC. Thank you. Deb. 06 June 2017 - 20:13:00

So much room for our party of three. Nice laundry room. Modern kitchen although we didn't cook. Comfy living room. And big windows. Creating an airy atmosphere. 10 June 2017 - 13:38:00

Well appointed, nice layout, quiet bedrooms and Mariano is gracious and welcoming. We considered the stairs as part of an exercise program! 29 June 2017 - 01:37:00

I would highly recommend this property. Our dealings with both the owner and the apartment caretaker, Mariano were both professional and welcoming making it a stress-free experience. Mariano is very passionate about New York and suggested many places to see whilst we were there. It was an added bonus for us, thanks Mariano. 22 November 2014 - 07:19:20

My family stayed in the apartment for the entire month of July. I have stayed in 4-star hotels that weren't as nice. Especially during the summer, this is a completely quiet and safe street. My son was attending precollege classes at FIT, located on the same street. The apt is well-appointed, the hosts (Paule and Mariano) are lovely and helpful as is the housekeeper, Dora. It's a 4 story walk-up so get ready for some exercise! Easily accessible to multiple subway lines; Chelsea Market, the High-line, Broadway and the Fashion District, of course! Loved every minute. Thanks Paule and Mariano! 08 August 2017 - 20:41:00

Entire experience was very good. The place was well kept and very comfortable, with two bathrooms and a full kitchen and living room it made for a very nice stay for two couples to share. Having the owners and caretaker/manager on site made for a very comfortable stay without any anxiety about waiting around for keys or checking out and giving keys back. Great for a family or group looking for a quiet, cool manhattan apartment to escape the noise of the city. Close to the Highline and other attractions, we walked into the Meat Packing district almost daily for meals and shopping. It's also located on a safe and quiet street. Made for a very pleasant fall stay. Not great for party groups as it's a small building this property might be best for couples and families. There are a few flights of stairs to navigate as well, so pack light - Leave room in your suitcase for all of the amazing fashion finds you'll collect in Manhattan! 25 October 2014 - 16:33:08

Absolutely great place, well located, well appointed, clean, everything you could want. Stayed five nights and enjoyed whole time. Good location to go almost everywhere. Easy for cabs or main subways. Two roomy bedrooms and to more than adequate baths. Friendly Manager. Would recommend to anyone except elderly or infirm, as stairs are steep. 10 May 2015 - 17:30:57

We're a family of four with two teenage boys who stayed in this apartment for one week over 4th of July. We'd been on a two week roadtrip prior to arriving in NYC so it was nice to finally stay in one place for more than one or two nights, and have a chance to do some laundry. The spacious apartment is right across the street from Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and next to their residence halls. The street is closed for traffic Monday-Friday 7 am-7 pm, which makes for a quiet place. There are FIT security guards patrolling the street at night, which makes for a safe place as well. The subway is right around the corner, as well as a small corner store that sells breakfast, sandwiches, and some basic groceries. The restaurants within a block away are so so, but if you don't mind walking 10-15 minutes there are several good ones around. We walked down 26th street towards 10th Avenue, and there my boys found basketball pick up games as well as a great Soccer field at Chelsea Park. The kids played there while my husband and I walked on the High Line, which was really too crowded to use for exercising. The apartment itself is in a 130 year old building that has been nicely renovated. We knew about the stairs up to the apartment and although we were a little out of breath once we got to the fourth floor, it wasn't too bad. The floors in the apartment itself are not level, which adds to its historic charm. However, my husband suffers from acid reflux and had to sleep turned around on the bed as the headboard of the bed was lower than the feet. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. In fact, the master bedroom is so big I wish they'd put a king size bed in there as well as a dresser, as it would have been nice to unpack our clothes. There was a built in closet in the master bedroom (not walk-in though), but there was no place to put underwear, socks, etc. The other bedroom did have a dresser. The bathrooms were decent size, but the shower curtain in the second bathroom was black from mold and mildew and did not smell good. The kitchen is comfortable for cooking and eating, although we mainly just had breakfast there. A toaster would have been nice to have, as it is time consuming to toast bread in the countertop oven. Also, cable on the TV was very basic, I think we only found 5 channels or so. It would have been nice to at least watch a show on USA, TNT, TBS, or Fox at night. Overall a great place to stay that'd be perfect with some minor upgrades. 14 July 2015 - 14:37:34

We have stayed at this apartment 3 times and loved it each time. If you want to be in mid town Manhatten it is perfect. Communication with the owners and manager is excellent. The apartment is in a safe area very close to the Fashion Institute of Technology which has its own security. The apartment is clean and has every amenity you could want. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms makes it ideal to share with friends. The subway is close by. It has heat pumps which are effective in the winter and summer and Wholefoods is not too far away. I cannot think of anything negative to say and highly recommend. We will be going back. 24 January 2018 - 03:31:00
