Thanks so much for a wonderful Christmas stay! Beautiful house and great hosts! I would recommend this place for easy access to Montreal and everything it has to offer. Thanks for a great vacation! 30 December 2016 - 17:38:00

Lauren and Mitch were great hosts! They responded quickly to texts and emails and resolved any issues that arose. The old Victorian can be a little drafty, so they've set up space heaters in each room. I recommend bringing house shoes to wear around the apartment on those extra cold mornings. We loved being in Westmount! The neighborhoods and parks are lovely! We got around without a car, just a stroller for the kiddos, but parking is included if needed. We plan to stay here again the next time we are in Montreal! 26 October 2016 - 13:26:00

Montreal is a wonderful city and this property is a great place to stay in Montreal. First and foremost, the unit is very clean. The kitchen has up-to-date cabinetry and modern appliances that are in good working order. The dining room is large with plenty of room to spread out and the living room looks out onto a lovely street. The bedrooms (one on the main level, one upstairs in loft style) are comfortable and there are 2 full bathrooms with well-functioning plumbing. This property is located on a lovely residential street in Westmount, one of the region's nicest neighborhoods. Shops and restaurants, many of them high-end, are an easy walk away. The Atwater metro station is only a 5-7 minute walk away -- a terrific plus for this property. One thing to keep in mind: parking regulations in Westmount are complex. The owner can provide you with a permit for evening and night parking, but not for during the day. So, if you plan to bring a car, it's best to familiarize yourself with your parking options. 28 September 2016 - 01:17:00

This unit has everything that's needed for an enjoyable experience in Montreal. It's located within three blocks of a variety of food establishments (recommend Chez Nick for sandwiches and excellent "diner" food), a post office, Fed Ex, boutiques and galleries as well as the entrance to the metro (it would take about 10 minutes to get to the train itself). The bus stop is on the corner - block. About a mile away - very pleasant walk is another shopping area called Victoria Village. In addition there are several small children's parks and one larger one all in walking distance. It's a 20 minute walk to the Muse de Beaux Artes and downtown. For the intrepid walkers, an hour's hike with some hills to Old Town and all up steep hills - actually the mountain - to Mont Royale. The hosts kept their distance but were very helpful and accessible when needed. They live in the upper unit but we didn't hear a thing - not even the brand new baby! It's a very quiet street and the home is well insulated, which helps with cooling as well. Only fans, if anything, were needed downstairs and the upstairs bedroom has an AC. It is a steep staircase to the upper bedroom but it's spacious. The downstairs bedroom is small with no closet but a small rack for hanging and a few drawers. The kitchen was well equipped but lacked serving and mixing bowls but we made do. It's sparsely decorated and could use some warm touches to make it homier and the living room furniture could be more comfortable. The dining room is large. Everything was clean. The appliances are relatively new. The entrance, which is on the side of the building is unattractive and needs refurbishing but the owners are aware and plan on doing some work on it. All in all, a wonderful place and we would highly recommend it! 02 August 2016 - 22:55:00

The home was beautiful, beds comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed . We took advantage of the subway which is a short distance away. The Westmount area is a great place to stay. 30 June 2016 - 00:26:38

Plenty of space for 4 people! The property is centrally located and easy to get to amenities. The upstairs bedroom was large and ready to go. However, the second bedroom on the main floor did not have anywhere to put our clothes or suitcase (no closet, dresser, hooks). Coat hooks in the entry would also be helpful. Would recommend to others. 25 March 2016 - 17:24:00

The description of the property was very accurate. We found the property very clean and well maintained, so close to everything. Lauren and Mitch were very easy to contact and prompt at responding with any concerns we had. Downtown Montreal is a short taxi fare away. We toured the city on a double decker tour bus and took a boat ride down the St. Lawrence river. Lots of beautiful restaurants to eat at and pubs to have a beer! We would certainly recommend this property to our family and friends! 21 September 2015 - 16:34:51

Beautiful old Victorian home with lots of room and space to relax in, after a day of taking in the city. Fantastic location. Walking distance to the downtown core or the N.D.G. area. You've got Greene Ave. at your doorstep with great shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this place if your thinking of visiting Montreal. 01 July 2017 - 13:12:00

This place is definitely well located, on one side close to Mt Royal, on the other side close to Westmount shops, and with a direct access to Montreal city Center. The appartment offers lot of space in a typical Westmount small house (compared to the many "castles" uphill) with trendy furnitures. Now at the date we arrived we where faced with a very serious leak at an end of the main bedroom, and there were carpenter in the front part of the house doing their job (with saw, hammer and other noisy tools..) starting at eight in the morning. Ok, all this may happen but no warning message from the owner before our stay, not even the beginning of appologies after... Also the list small "issues" that were reported we we arrived or a bit later were dealt with, politely by the owner, but in a "take it or leave it" mode, so left unfixed. Since I am not quite happy with this experience I must add also, that one is asked to enter the house throught the side door, unfortunately this way is realy ugly looking, with rusty unclean metalic stairs, and dripping air conditionning pipe spilling water all over the outside carpet. 24 August 2015 - 09:25:25

A fair priced, clean, comfortable adequate stay, with a nice kitchen & good coffee. We were looking for a safe place to share expenses, have a place to park near to city. There are some things to be aware of: verify the door code is correct, ours was incorrect. Upstairs room has no door, downstairs room very small with no place for two large pieces of luggage. Parking is free, but rules are strict, landlord must know 24 hrs in advance you are staying with a vehicle, to have an overnight parking permit there upon arrival. A safe neighbourhood, near to groceries. We had a difficult time with all the construction, otherwise near to downtown. 29 July 2017 - 15:15:00

Our family of four (me, wife, two young adult sons) stayed for 9 days and had a great time. Very clean and perfect location within easy walk of shops and Metro. Owners live in the top 1-1/2 story, but you would never know - even with a young child it was very quiet, except for some early morning construction on a neighboring house - but that wasn't any fault of the place or the owner's - just timing. Owner's were helpful with check-in/check-out and very accommodating with times based on our flights. If you made me answer "What could be improved?" or "What should a prospective renter be aware of?" Improved - bath towels were plush and adequate number - but there were no hand towels or washcloths. Not a big deal for us, but might be for some. Be aware of - The modern furniture in the living area is beautiful, however it is not designed to accommodate more than a couple of adults to comfortably watch TV. Not an issue for us - in June we had great weather and spent every day and a lot of the night out. Only really noticed this when we spent one night in and watched last game of Stanley Cup finals. Just something to keep in mind if it is bad weather or you are the home body type. That's really just trying to find things - we would definitely rent again. 30 June 2017 - 21:34:00

This is a lovely Victorian home in a quiet, residential area. Fantastic shopping street with restaurants is just across the road. Bus to anywhere you'd like to go is just outside your door and subway is a close walk. Property works for 4, but better for 3 (second bedroom is a squeeze for 2 ppl). Living room furniture could be updated to get the place a little cozier if you'd like to stay in and watch movies. Kitchen is great and master bedroom is lovely with lots of space. Parking can be a little tricky, so check in with Lauren about specifics. She provides overnight parking passes which is helpful. Lauren is a lovely host and gets back to you quickly. Overall a great stay! 10 August 2017 - 23:31:00

This is a great location from which to explore Montreal- walking distance from downtown attractions, but in a quiet, leafy neighborhood near a Metro stop. House is comfortable, squeaky clean, kitchen well stocked with essentials. We had a problem with the washing machine and owner was there promptly to fix it. If you bring a car, street parking can be a problem - we finally found a municipal parking garage a few blocks away (near the Metro), where you can park all day for ~ $16. Unfortunately, this was not until after we got a $50 parking ticket...Also, house is billed as "air conditioned", but it's just a single small window unit in one of the bedrooms. However, there are fans and we were quite comfortable (weather cooperated). Overall, we had a great stay. 28 August 2017 - 21:29:00

We loved staying in the house while on our trip to Montreal. The location is fantastic, close to the Atwater station and only a 30 minute walk to downtown. There are some great places to eat nearby, along with a market to stock the refrigerator. The house has two bedrooms with two full baths, a nice kitchen, a very nice dining room and sitting room. It was clean, well managed, and had the modern convenience of a strong wifi signal. It was a pleasure working with Lauren who was receptive to our needs and answered our questions promptly. Highly recommend this property. 05 September 2017 - 02:08:00

We spent several days in Montreal doing some charity work and needed more than a hotel would offer us. This lovely home was perfect for our needs. It has been completely updated inside while still retaining it's vintage charm. Has a nice modern kitchen with a laundry room connected. We didn't have need of the appliances except the microwave and Keurig, but they were in good working order. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked with fluffy towels. Living/dining areas are spacious. The bedrooms were perfect for our needs. The downstairs bedroom is privately tucked in the back of the house. The upstairs bedroom is at the top of the staircase and is more of a loft style, but still quite private. The bed is very comfortable and we slept well. There is plenty of storage for clothing, etc. and a flat screen tv mounted on a wall. The house is perfectly situated on a quiet street just a short walk away from several great restaurants, a grocery store, drug store and a Starbucks if you need it. There is also a metro entrance about 2 blocks away. The parking was never an issue for us and we were able to park in front of the house all the times we really needed to do so. We only had 2 *complaints* if you can even call them that - 1) the lamp in the living area needed to be plugged in to turn it on as we couldn't find an obvious switch for it. 2) the window air conditioning unit in the upstairs bedroom had wide gaps on either side of the unit and on the two cold, rainy days it made the room temperature quite chilly. Because of the nature of our visit, we were pretty exhausted each day, so it didn't deter our sleep. But not much would have. These two small issues are not enough to warrant a less than 5 for our rating because we so thoroughly enjoyed everything else about the house. We plan to rent this property again when we return next year. Thanks so much to Lauren for a lovely stay! 17 September 2017 - 03:41:00

We enjoyed staying at your home. The location and space were great . The lighting in the living room and master bedroom could be improved. And the living room furniture did not feel inviting for four people to visit in there. The couch was particularly uncomfortable. 16 October 2017 - 20:20:00

This home is close to all that you need and only a short taxi fare away from downtown Montreal. Great restaurants and shops only a few steps away. Very safe neighbourhood and lovely to go walking through. Any concerns we had were answered promptly by Lauren or Mitch. We would recommend this property to family and friends and would love to stay here again! 21 September 2015 - 14:40:52
