We just spent a week in London. It's a wonderful city, full of noise and action. This little apartment was the perfect place to relax after a busy day. It's bright and sunny and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We get really tired of restaurant food when we travel, so it was great having the grocery store just down the street and the well-equipped kitchen. 18 July 2009 - 01:20:34

It was very reassuring to be met by Natalia at the Reception of Chelsea Cloisters. Very clean and tidy, very well equiped and comfortable. Wonderful view from flat window over the London roof tops. The location is excellent. 5min walk to South Kensington Tube and 10min to Sloane Square Tube. Three different buses, No 11, No 19 and No 22 available from Kings Road, 5min walk away, all going to the main West End destinations. An Oyster card is a must. Supermarket right next door (Sainsbury's). Endless restaurants and pubs all within easy walk. Still so much to see and do, we'll definately be booking again. 21 October 2009 - 18:00:09

Jackie, thank you so much for helping to make my time in London so enjoyable. This was my first visit to London and I loved it. It is a busy, chaotic, amazing city and the flat was just perfect! This was also my first time booking an apartment for vacation and the experience was just wonderful. From beginning to end you could not have been more responsive and helpful. As a single woman, feeling safe in my surroundings is very important and the flat, the building and the neighborhood around it provided me with that. I felt perfectly comfortable walking around the neighborhood, no matter the time of day or night. The directions from Heathrow to the flat were spot on and the short walk to either the South Kensington and Sloane Square tube stations put me on the perfect lines (Circle & District) for most of the must see sites. The flat was spotlessly clean, had wonderful natural light and a lovely breeze if you opened the windows. There was a nice little market just up the street and the kitchen had everything I needed to be able to prepare meals. The full sized bath tub and strong shower were great after a long day of walking around London. The flat was small, yes, but it had been set up efficiently to provide everything I needed including a washer/dryer and plenty of closet space. When I get the chance for another extended stay in London, I will be booking the flat again. 08 April 2010 - 19:08:36

We recently spent two weeks in this delightful accommodation. Whilst the accomodation was small it provided all the facilities that we required. It is located in quite and safe area of London and was central to all the high class shopping in the Sloane Square, Knightsbridge, Chelsea area. The owner provided a very comprehensive outline of the accommodation and transport arrangements. Every enquiry was met with a prompt reply. The accommodation was bright and airy and was very welcoming after a long flight from Australia. 13 July 2010 - 02:38:09

We recently completed a seven day stay in London at the Chelsea studio. As promised, the location is absolutely perfect. It's a lovely, short walk to two different tube stations. There is a convenient grocery just a half block away, excellent shopping on nearby Kings Rd. and plenty of good restaurants in the neighborhood (some really good Thai!) The flat was quite clean when we arrived and it is quiet and cozily comfortable for two people. When the bed is tucked away, there is a comfortable couch and a table with two chairs near windows that overlook the street. The small kitchen had everything we needed to cook our simple meals. We were provided with excellent directions from Heathrow and Natalia provided us with a friendly gretting on our arrival. I would definitely book this flat again and would recommend it to any couple. The internet booking arrangements were easy and we were provided with timely information that made our trip planning uncomplicated. Our thanks to both Jackie and Natalia! Our time in London was amazing. 21 July 2010 - 01:49:23

I spent 10 days in this perfect flat. It's situated in a very big building with a lot of flats, but there is abolutely no noise from the neighbours. Besides, it's very quiet as the windows are behind, in a little street with very little traffic. And the view from the windows is great ! As said in the description, you've got everything you need to cook, and there's a Salisbury's supermarket just round the corner ! When the bed is in place, you can't move around it, but it was not a problem to me, and during the day, you can put it back and enjoy a little sofa. It was absolutely clean on arrival and Natalia was very kind and explained everything. Jackie was very quick to answer any questions and to return the deposit, thank you ! Buses are not far. There's one just at the door (nb 360), and if you want more routes, you just need to walk for 5 or 10 minutes to Kensington Station, or King's Road. Several museums are close by (V&A, Royal Albert Hall, Natural History Museum), All the shops in King's Road are just 5 minutes away, Harrod's is a 10-minute walk from the flat. Add 5 minutes more and you're in Hyde Park ! And the rich surroundings makes you feel on another planet ! 18 August 2010 - 11:03:00

The studio is located in the very convenient, and safe area. While I stayed there, I enjoyed walking - to Sloane Square, to Kings Road, to Kenshington, and even to Harrods. The studio is small, but comfortable especially for ladies looking for a good "base" in London. Also, Jackie (owner) was very quick to respond any quiries. It was another important point when we look for the place to stay. 03 April 2011 - 13:56:13

We stayed in this lovely little apartment for a week. Everything was lovely and clean. The bath was very welcome for a soak after walking all day or alternatively you could have a shower. The kitchen is well set up to cook or reheat quick meals. Good supermarket called Waitrose on Kings Road has many nice meals available to take home and reheat. Great prospects out of the windows, really enjoyed having a meal and wine sitting enjoying the view. The apartment is situated between the South Kensington and Sloane Square tube stations, easy walking to Victoria & Albert and Natural History Museum. Lots of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. It was great to be able to arrange to leave our bags earlier than check in time. Jacqui answered all emails and requests promptly, a very enjoyable stay, would stay again and recommend to others. Thanks! 25 September 2011 - 19:04:56

I recommend this rental for its location. It's less than a 15 minute walk to Harrod's, the Victoria & Albert, Science Museum. It's also near Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace. It takes about 20-30 to walk to Buckingham Palace. Really, though, if you don't mind walking, all of London is pretty accessible by foot and walking around the city is the best way to experience it. The flat is also a five minute walk from the South Kensington tube station. There is plenty of shopping and places to eat nearby, and a grocery store is just a half a block away. A lot of the other reviews have mentioned how small the flat is, and they're right, it's very small. Much smaller than your standard hotel room in North America. Once the wall bed is out, you have to climb over it to get from one side of the flat to the other. However, the bed was pretty comfortable to sleep on. The kitchen was great to have, as we were in London for two weeks, so we were able to cook our own meals instead of having to eat out all the time (the kitchen has a microwave, stove top and fridge. No oven). Jackie was very nice and quick to respond to our inquiries. She returned our damage deposit right away (sorry I took so long to post this review). Like I said before, great location, and the flat was a decent price to be in the midst of London. 03 February 2014 - 17:02:16

I spent ten days living in Jackie's flat during October 2017. The location couldn't be better, with easy walking access to Tube & busses. This small flat is located on the 6th floor in a large & secure block, with lifts, doorman, and 24 hour front desk service. The surrounding neighborhood has literally endless small (and very good) restaurants. Upon arrival I was met in the building lobby by Jackie's associate Marc who took me to the flat and showed me around, taking time to thoroughly answer all my questions (mostly about the operation of the washer / dryer). He even linked my iPad up with the WiFi and verified that it was working properly. The free WiFi worked great throughout my stay, no problems at all. The tiny kitchen is fully appointed with stove, microwave, small refrigerator / freezer, washer / dryer combo unit, a full stock of cups, plates, bowls, utensils, and so forth. Lots of extra bedding, pillows, towels etc were in the storage closets. Only thing keeping the place from being about perfect for a single traveler like myself was the pull-down bed, which when open makes it impossible to walk from the kitchen / window / table side of the flat to the bath / toilet / exit door side. But for the price, I find it hard to imagine a single traveler could find a nicer or better located flat in the whole of London. 05 November 2017 - 21:01:00

I reserved and paid for this apartment and then discovered I had cancer and did not know if my doctors would allow me to travel. The owner was compassionate and ready to be accommodating. I was able to travel and my sister and I stayed in this lovely apartment. It was close to wonderful outdoor cafes on Exhibition Avenue, the Sainsbury, the tube, and the apartment had all that anyone could need. London was hot, but the apartment stayed cool with a bank of windows that could be opened. The Murphy's bed was incredibly comfortable - better than any hotel I stayed in while touring other parts of England! I would highly recommend this studio! 22 July 2017 - 12:46:00

The apartment was in a great location. Close to the V&A and so many museums. It also had great transport links. South Kensington or Sloane Avenue tube stations and great bus connections down on King's Road. Also very easy to walk around and explore the area. I always felt very safe. The apartment is small but as I was travelling on my own this did not worry me. The kitchen was fine. Close to a Sainsbury's and Waitrose. Appreciated that there was some kitchen essentials in the cupboards ( salt pepper, cooking oil) which can be a pain to buy when travelling. Washing powder also provided for washing machine. I was there in London's heat wave. A fan would have been useful but as it is rarely 30 degrees in London I can understand why a fan was not in the apartment. I kept one of the windows open at night!!! Overall a great apartment in an excellent location. I would stay again 23 June 2017 - 18:22:00

Jackie was absolutely wonderful to work with. Very responsive to questions/concerns. She provided excellent instructions for getting to the apt from the airport. I read the reviews and understood this was going to be a small studio. I had concerns as to whether it would be too cramped for us as we were spending 9 nights there but the reviews were good and the price excellent for the area so we decided to give it a go. I knew it was a murphy bed set up but I thought there would be enough room to walk around the bed should you need to get up in the middle of the night. You really can't. If you want to get to the kitchen or bathroom you have to crawl over anyone sharing the bed. That was really the only downside for us. If you are considering this you should be aware and decide if that's a problem for you. Obviously, it's not for many given all the glowing reviews. We, like most tourist, spent most of our time out sightseeing so while it wasn't a huge problem, we probably would prefer a little more space to relax in after a full day of sightseeing. Again, the price was right and the location is great. It's doable for a couple, although maybe not perfect, but for one person it would be excellent. The kitchen and bathroom were actually a good size given the overall size of the apt. The location is great! Walkable to many attractions and a tube station just a short walk away. We had a great time! 25 May 2017 - 17:45:00

What a great find. Just as described, comfortable with everything needed. Close to everything tube, grocery store and shops with some great pubs and restaurants nearby. Very handy location for tourists. Jackie very professional from start to finish so communication was easy. All in all a great stay. We will be back. 10 September 2016 - 15:50:10

Great location, clean and quiet. Might be a little tight for two people, but perfect for one. A grocery store next to the apt complex was very convenient, especially for getting stuff for breakfast or a late supper. Shopping on the King's Road was fun and there were lovely restaurants nearby too. Tube stations were nearby and walking to the V&A Museum and Albert Hall was easy. Kitchen could use a coffee maker of some kind, even a one cup melita would help. Maureen Warren 19 November 2017 - 16:38:00

Ideally suited for a single traveler but doable for a couple if you're on a budget. All the basics are provided and it's very convenient to buses and the Underground for getting anywhere in London. Supermarket a block away and there is stove, refrigerator and kitchen basics so you can feel at home. Perfect if you're mostly out and about during your stay. Jackie is wonderful to communicate with. 01 December 2017 - 03:03:00

My wife and I spent 7 nights (September 22-29th 2017) at this wonderful little flat, using it as a base to explore London. It's an easy walk to the South Kensington Tube station from the building, there is a grocery store next door, a concierge and is located in a very 'posh' neighborhood. The V&A Museum, as well as Natural History and several others, are only a few blocks away, with several pubs, cafes, bakeries and restaurants along the way. Location is 10/10. The fully appointed flat itself is very small, with barely enough room for 2. If you are traveling with more, I suggest you pass on this one. When the queen-sized murphy bed is down, it cuts the flat in half, meaning if you are sleeping on the window side (as seen in the photo), you have to crawl over your partner to get to the bathroom. There is a combo washer/dryer (one unit) which we never fully understood how it operated, as the clothes often came out damp - even on the hottest setting. Probably user error, so take it as such. The shower is HIGH POWERED, with the power fully controlled. You can dial it up to strip your skin off, or keep it nice, soft and silky. Your choice. Loved it. There is a small fridge, range top, electric kettle, flatware, glasses, etc. Fully appointed for a light meal in, or breakfast (what we used it for). We only had one set of towels for 2 people, and 1 set of sheets, but I think that was an oversight. We never bothered to call for more, just washed them and dealt with it. So, for the flat itself: 8/10, mainly due to size. All in all, it was the location that sold us on the place. We never planned to dine in, nor spend much time in the flat, other than to sleep. The price is right, the location perfect and Jackie is an amazing owner. We never felt out of touch, she worked with us on arrival/departure times and the unit was clean & ready to move in. Highly recommended and we'd stay here again. If you are taking a cab to the airport on departure, talk to the concierge the night before. Doing so saved us about 30 pounds. And, if you like Italian food, stop in at Carluccio's across from the South Kennsington Station. Large space, great service and the food fabulous. -Stephen & Deidre; Richmond, BC Canada 10 October 2017 - 17:55:00

We stayed for 8 days in December and totally enjoyed our time next to Sloan Square. Lots of shops nearby and easy acess to the tube. Easy walk to The V&A museum and Kensington Palace. As previously noted the apartment is very small and yes you do have to hop over your better half when you head to the washroom at night,. Then again you can pay more elsewhere. No problems linking with Marc for the keys and all in all a great experience. A lot to be said for a place with so many reviews and someone with a long experience working with Home Away. Many thanks from 11 December 2017 - 02:00:00

I must admit my first impression of the apartment was not that enthusiastic. It is tiny, as others have stated, but don't really comprehend how tiny until you are there. Perhaps we are just a little too old for rolling over the bed to get from one side to the other. The kitchen & bath are small, but updated & functional. Perhaps lose the kitchen door! We ended up buying a coffee press, no coffee maker to be found. Jackie graciously reimbursed us for it. That being said, the location is great, easy access to buses or the tube. There is a grocery less than a block away & lots of restaurant choices near by. We especially liked "Made in Italy" on King's Road. Easy walk to the V & A museum. Nice, safe neighborhood, more local then touristy. Jackie & Marc were a pleasure to deal with. Everything went off smoothly. Would definitely recommend to budget traveler, for the money you can't go wrong. . 26 November 2017 - 16:39:00

The space is conveniently located to get around London. The kitchen, bathroom and living room are perfectly workable and clean. The bed in the wall was difficult to sleep on even after days of walking for us. One person might be easier. This is the only reason we give the space 4 stars rather than 5. Jackie Morgan is very responsive and ready to help in every way. 25 January 2018 - 19:25:00
