Nicky & Nick are gracious hosts. Gave us a nice welcome gift, took time to walk us throughout the huge flat, showed us everything -- very gracious and patient. The flat is beautifully furnished, has every amenity, and is very comfortable. 100 meters to the Tube, in a nice residential neighborhood. Great place from which to explore London! 30 May 2017 - 17:54:00

This is a fantastic house to stay in. The location is about a 1 minute walk to the Tube station. There are a couple of grocery stores close by and several dining options. The house was very clean and suited our needs well. Prior to our stay, Nic and Nicky were responsive to messages and upon arrival, Nic met us there and was very helpful and kind. If I had to come up with something negative to say, it would be that I found the beds to be too firm for me, but my travel companions didn't complain much about them. I highly recommend staying here and I would stay here again if I am lucky enough to go back to London! 23 May 2017 - 12:53:00

We very much enjoyed the Pump House! It was comfortable and convenient, a great place to stay on our first visit to London. Our hosts were very hospitable, and made us feel most welcome. The location was excellent, very close to the bus line and underground, with easy access to local stores and restaurants. At the suggestion of Nic & Nicky, we had our first pints at the Mayflower Pub, and enjoyed our walk to the Tower Bridge. There was ample room for the six of us, and we enjoyed having the full kitchen facilities. We were very pleased. We joked to each other that we maybe shouldn't let others know about this gem, as it may limit its availability if/when we want to return! 11 May 2017 - 01:59:00

Our trip to London was amazing and one of the best choices we made was staying at this property! First, Nic and Nicky were wonderful to work with. They always responded quickly to questions before our trip and were very accommodating with our arrival and departure needs. In our final minutes before leaving, we had a missing passport issue and it was Nicky who came in, calmed things down and helped us to retrace the missing document. We cannot thank them enough! Second, location, location, location. The Pump House is right next to the Canada Water tube station. A short walk and we could get anywhere we wanted in the city. Or to the airport to fly in and out and even to fly to Dublin for a day! In walking distance was a mall, 2 groceries and restaurants. Our favorite place became Leadbelly's Kitchen and Bar, very close by with delicious food and a friendly staff. Say "hi" to Joel the Bar Manager for us. Finally was the space that the Pump House allowed us. Traveling in our group were three friends, one with her 16 year-old daughter, One with her 13 year-old son, and one traveling alone. We each had a bedroom to ourselves and there were plenty of bathrooms so no one ever had to wait. But above the privacy this allowed us, and which we could get at a hotel, we had a common meeting area to discuss the day's adventures or the plans for the next day. We always ate breakfast in, saving some money and were able to buy and store snacks to carry with us during the day. This allowed us to save both money and sometimes the day, when one of us needed a pick me up before moving on. In our final days in London, we all said how when we came back, the Pump house would be our number 1 choice in accommodations. 05 March 2017 - 16:04:00

We should probably keep this to ourselves but this place was amazing. Only 2 tube stops from London Bridge (or a 20 minute walk if so inclined). Very quiet and beautiful area. Extremely secure neighbourhood. and premises. Very clean. Bus station nearby. Supermarket walking distance. A stones throw from multiple character-filled pubs lining the Thames. This place ticked every box. The property itself was over 4 levels. Nice kitchen and dining area on second level with doors that open fully. I can imagine in Summer this would be wonderful. Small private backyard area. If you hire a bike there is easy access to the canal system for great rides through London. There are so many wonderful little pubs nearby with so much character that you could spend a month discovering them all. We fell in love with the Archer (or was it the Arrow?) on the Thames. If you want somewhere to stay in London, this is it! 29 January 2017 - 08:31:00

Our stay at the Pumphouse was unquestionably one of the best decisions we made when deciding on our London accomodation. The House is set in a walled private estate so very quiet and felt very safe. Parking available at the Pumphouse just outside the door was an immense relief with past experiences of accomodations requiring us to finding on street parking a rel hassle. The house is tastefully furnished with an "all you can need" modern Kitchen with a great adjoining living/dining area. Everything was clean, neat and tidy, thankfully. We had so much room to move with three levels and we loved the option of having the little back yard to sit and relax at the end of a days sightseeing or some in our party even just had the day off and lazed in the sun. The penthouse master bedroom on the third floor was awesome and we felt like we were kings of a very lovely "castle" when waking up each morning. The location of the accomodation is second to none with Canada Water tube station right on the doorstep such that you could stumble into bed after a big night out when exiting the tube.......the Jubilee line is the best line in London for access to all of London in my humble opinion. The area is historic, just a 10 minute walk to the River Thames or one quick tube ride is Rotherhithe....the pub the Mayflower is living history if anyone is interested..... and the proximity to shops and restaraunts at Canada Water and Surrey Quays was convenient +++. Canary Wharf was a snap to get to. The proximity to London City Airport was an unexpected bonus as it meant we could sleep longer and had a stress free travel to the Airport . Overall very very happy with our stay and our large group sends its thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay. Thanks again. "The Crew" 26 January 2017 - 22:58:00

When I was looking for a place for our family to stay during our London trip, I kept feeling drawn to the Pumphouse listing. It seemed to me to have the character and style I was looking for, but I had to look to the reviews to find out if the location was convenient. Well, if you are wondering the same thing let me reassure you: this location could not have been better! If you are feeling energetic, you can enjoy a walk from the flat into London itself (those of us over 60 needed a few more rest stops than the others ); but after you've shopped and explored all day, it's nice to know that the tube will bring you right to the Canada Water Station which is practically on your doorstep. The flat itself is roomy, comfortable and welcoming-nicely decorated but not overwhelmingly so. All of our group from preteen to grandparents were able to be. together when we wanted yet had the privacy that makes for a good night's rest. As for the Andelas, I can't say enough about their kindness, hospitality and attention to detail. They were quick to answer any text and genuinely seemed to care that we had a wonderful holiday. The blue binders full of information were especially helpful . Thanks so much, Nic and Nicki! 25 August 2017 - 13:28:00

We really enjoyed our stay in the Pump House. Great location a few steps away from the tube and very close to the Thames path with plenty of space. It was spotlessly clean and the owners were very friendly and helpful. A real find for us and would definitely stay again when we're next in London. Thank you Nic and Nicky. 16 September 2017 - 11:52:00
  11. I would just like to say thank you to Nic , Nicky and Lily for the warm welcome and beautiful house. The house was perfect for our needs, given that there were eight of us .It is a spacious, well-equipped, immaculate, "happy" house in a very safe area, as well as being within walking distance of a local supermarket and mall. Our hosts were always ready to help and answer any questions we had regarding the house and our stay there. We couldn't have asked for more.Thank you for making our stay a memorable one. Best wishes Martina 14 September 2017 - 08:54:00

This property was very clean and comfortable. Very homey! There was lots of space. Access to public transportation was great with both bus and underground stations just steps away. Market was close by. Owners were very, very helpful. 28 September 2017 - 14:15:00

We loved the Pump House! The location was great with the Tube right around the corner along with Bus Service and groceries and restaurants. We had 10 people in our party and it was a wonderful way to start the day with breakfast and head out, return in the evening for dinner or to relax. Nic and Nicky have thought of everything, we would love to come back and this is going to be our place to stay! Highly recommend to families or groups of friends! Thanks for having us! 03 October 2017 - 15:45:00

My stay at the Pump House was fantastic, you walk across the road to the tube station which is on the Jubilee line, there are shops within 5 min walking distance. The accomadation is upmarket and very comfortable. I will most certainly stay there again. There is plenty of safe parking. This apartment has loads of space and bedrooms. 22 February 2012 - 06:11:57

This beautiful house was my home for several months. The owner has taken great care in it's decoration and maintenance, with smart and contemporary features. Bathrooms and kitchen are stylish and well equipped. The house is furnished in a modern way, with chunky wooden furniture and comfortable beds. There is a small, private garden to the rear of the property, and private parking. The parking spaces and courtyard where the house is situated are well maintained behind tall barrier-controlled gates. I did not encounter any security problems, nor threat to personal safety whist staying there. The home is light and airy and I noticed minimal noise from neighbouring apartments. Pumphouse is situated 2 minutes walk from Canada Water underground station, and a bus station is nearby, which provides excellent travel facilities all over London. Easy access to train links to the Olympic games area, (15 mins on the tube.) The Thames is in walking distance, (15 mins). There is a shopping centre 5 minutes walk away (Surrey Quays). London city centre 10 mins by underground. Cinema and restaurants - 10 mins walk. I would recommend this accommodation to friends/family and would happily stay there again myself. It is a clean, beautifully kept, quiet home in a really good location for access to most London sights. -Anna, Watford, UK. 22 February 2012 - 10:21:31

My wife and I stayed at the property on the 19th November and leaving on the 21st This was a rare weekend break for us We decided to choose this location as we intended go to a few shows in the West End and see some other familiar tourist sites. I have to say that the location and price is superb. Clean spacious and contemporary. The location was very good for what we wanted from our weekend and at times we just wanted to stay indoors! Will definitely return again no doubt! 23 February 2012 - 09:04:11

Thank you so much for such an incredible place to stay during our visit to London. The location was perfect, with easy access to the Canada Water tube station and the markets. The house was just the right size for our group of seven. We had a fabulous time in London - we enjoyed seeing so many sights, the weather was absolutely perfect and it was a wonderful place to return to at the end of a very busy day. Thank you again! Should we ever return, we will definitely try to stay at the Pump House again! 03 November 2017 - 01:48:00

As our family is quite large (there are 8 of us - all adults), when looking for a house to rent for our holiday we were not only looking for somewhere clean, in a good location, and within budget, but somewhere that we could all stay without feeling overly crowded. The pumphouse met all of these requirements and more! It was an extremely comfortable the house, even with the 8 of us we never found ourselves wishing for more space. The house itself was clean and well stocked (meaning cooking a Christmas roast was much easier than expected!) and with additional personal touches (such as Christmas lights and a Christmas tree) it felt more like we were in a home than a rented house. On top of all of this, the location could not be better! With the Juiblee line, overground, and a major bus station right outside the door, travelling around London could not have been easier! Finding the Pumphouse for our stay helped make our trip the success that it was. We would love to stay again for the next family gathering! 08 January 2018 - 13:33:00

I housed my US-based family in this wonderful home when they visited London to attend my wedding. The house was spacious, very clean, and included everything you could possibly need while on holiday. The location was perfect for trips into central London, with most amenities within walking distance. The owners were very friendly, and ensured that the property was set up to accommodate family members of all ages. I would definitely use this property again. 06 November 2017 - 10:22:00

My family and I stayed at 16 Pump House Rd over Thanksgiving week 2017. There were 6 of us: my husband and I, our two teenage boys, my mom and my brother. We couldn't have been more pleased with everything! The pictures do not do the home justice. The kitchen has everything you need to make a Thanksgiving feast for the family. You are literally steps away from the Canada Water Jubilee tube line (which as far as I am concerned can get you everywhere in London proper). There is a large grocery store (Tesco) maybe a 1/4 of a mile from the home. There is a smaller grocery around the corner (Sainsbury). We found a couple of wonderful pubs within walking distance of the home. We particularly enjoyed Mayflower (on more than one occasion)! Great food and a very charming atmosphere. We have been home almost a week and are still talking about what an unbelievable stay we had. You will certainly be pleased with this wonderful gem of a property! Thank you Nic and Nicky!! 01 December 2017 - 12:55:00
